The worst UPS store Ive ever been to. I go out of my way to avoid this one. The lady working who claimed to be the manager (Dawn judging by all the other reviews) was very condescending and talking coy, like we all should know how the world at UPS works....Well, we dont, were not all UPS experts like Dawn. Luckily I was prepared for this after being warned by a family member who was there prior, so it didnt ignite me nearly as much as a long line of angry, insulted customers at 5:30pm on a Tuesday. The line was out the door. All unhappy customers --some were even embarrassed. I watched her make snide remarks at an elderly couple for not having enough tape on a package. Another lady didnt know she had to print the label, her reply was Maybe next time you can read the instructions. She offered to print her label at a $4 surcharge, explaining were a business and we need to make money too --mind you the receipts come printed on label paper, seems real cost effective to me?? If that was my store, Id be embarrassed to have her working at it. I understand everyones short staffed right now and the talent pool is slim...That is no excuse...Some things take ZERO skill --like manners perhaps.

Wonderful staff! The lady who helped us in taking a passport photo for our two year old is a saint! I think it must have been the 14th photo when our son didn’t end up moving or smiling too much. You have a great team!

I cannot believe the horrible customer service here; the manager Dawn is RUDE and she seems crazy. Ill happily drive out of my way to take my business elsewhere.On a side note, you shouldnt need to enter my ID info into your system just to ship a package... Unnecessary and creepy.Response to owners reply: the reason I didnt give you my business was because of your rude and arrogant behavior, both toward myself and to the customer who you helped before me. However, asking for my ID was just another inappropriate action. And NO - UPS DOES NOT REQUIRE IDENTIFICATION TO SHIP A PACKAGE. Head to any other UPS store in the area and you can ship without giving ID. Get your facts straight Dawn.

Extremely frustrating. Been in there 5 times attempting to claim my item and the employee was sarcastic and unhelpful every time. Still unable to get my item, so back to the distributor it goes, I guess. Thanks a lot.

This is the worst store, its so close to my house but unfortunately its worth driving to Brighton. The owner and or manager Dawn is in the wrong line of work. She needs to hide in the back and never interact with customers. You can prettymuch tell she has no business interacting with customers as soon as you take a few steps in the door. For anyone thinking this is the norm for the ups store try any other location and clearly its not.

This place is a joke and wont follow their own Covid-19 signs that are posted (pile on in and dont worry about wearing a mask), then charge outrageous prices for shipping. Do yourself a favor and use The One Stop Shop that is a 1/4 mile west on M-59 in the small plaza across from the assisted living building. They are very reasonable and helpful.****In reply to the manager who just replied to my comment, Im referring to the mouth breathers, the ones that do not believe Covid-19 is real that you allow to come in without masks and more than 3 at a time like your door sign states are the rules. The smugness and snarky attitude of the owner/manager Dawn(you know who you are) in this particular UPS Store is beyond any Ive ever experienced in a UPS Store.

Dawn is an unbelievably rude person. She went out of her way to be condesending to me in every step of my attempt to transact with her. I will never come to this store again. I have never been spoken to so disrespectfully.Edited to respond to “owner”- you can’t find my transaction because Dawn would rather be condescending than to help me so I left and drove to the Milford location instead to be treated respectfully. You want me to call to talk about it and what, end up talking to the immature ice queen herself? I would rather bathe in salt while covered in cuts than to interact with that woman. One other time I visited your location when I didn’t have time to make it to a different location before closing and had to return my Amazon package that day or lose the $250 return. Again, without speaking a word to her Dawn went out of her way to be domineering even though I made it a point to only respond “yes” to wanting a receipt. She actually laughed at me for the fact that I refused to engage with her childish patronizing and egotistical attitude. This many reviews that Dawn is horrible and the fact that Dawn is still there tells me Dawn either is the owner or the owner really just doesn’t care.

I have been here a few times and have been treated with kindness each time. I just dropped off large rug to return that purchased through Amazon and they printed the label for me with no problems or attitude like I have read about in other reviews. 5 stars from me.

Katie from the Hartland UPS store has literally the worst customer service I have experienced. We JUST moved to the area from Howell and we’ve been here twice now and unfortunately experienced Katie’s attitude both times. Would never go back based off this employee alone. I’d rather drive back to Howell 10 minutes away to the one on Grand River. They are the sweetest people. It doesn’t take a lot to be kind to people, just saying.

Since moving to the area I’ve used this UPS store for all of my printing, copying and shipping needs but I can’t do it anymore. The woman who’s always there, I think her name is Dawn, has the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. If this was only on one or two occasions, I would just chalk it up to her having an off day, but no, it’s every single time. So condescending, so rude. She can’t answer a small question without tone and attitude in her voice. She isn’t trying to help anyone. Not to mention she overcharges for sorting documents. Recently I took my business right up the road and I’ll say Gil at The One Stop Shop is not only courteous but goes out of his way to help. He even offered to call me back or make adjustments on his end to help with this big project. Normally I wouldn’t feel the need to review a local business, no matter how terrible it is. But meeting Gil and getting his help when I was up to my eye balls, something needs to be said about his customer service. Don’t waste your time or money at the UPS store just because it seems easier. Go with the smaller company who actually cares.

I decided to open a PO box here because the staff is so helpful and straightforward. They placed my new box at my height without me asking so that its always easy to get my mail. I havent seen either of them be rude to anyone but I have seen them TAKE a lot of rudeness and roll with it. Working with the public cant be easy. Hats off to you!

Will never be back and will advise others to not ever visit this location. Upsetting experience to say the least. Employee was unbelievably rude and belittling. Someone do something about it? Majority of the reviews on here are about the exact employee Im referring to. Lady needs to seek therapy.***Edit: Im almost positive this place creates fake accounts to up their review score on Google. It is sad that this place is still in business considering the amount of reviews that report the same level of disrespect from the same employee I was referring to when I initially posted this review. It is frankly sad and pathetic. If you cant be nice to people, dont work in customer service.

1st time at this UPS store, I usually do my business by work, but I decided to stop at this one being its closer to my house . I was treated very rudely by a woman named Dawn- this woman has very poor customer service skills, very rude and condescending based on how I was treated at this UPS store. I will continue to do my UPS services business by my office and not be humiliated. I will never go to the store again, they need to invest customer service training if they are going to succeed. It’s hard to believe they are still in business with that bad attitude.

One of the most important aspects when working in a customer service/retail environment is the greeting! I own a retail store and I would be mortified if my staff treated people the way I was treated this morning. No greeting, no eye contact no, “Good morning, I’ll be right with you” I stood there for 5 minutes holding large boxes watching her frustration with the current customer and she never said one word to me until I finally asked, can I just leave these if they are pre-paid? Definitely need to work on those customer relation skills. A smile and a hello goes a very long way in my book! I don’t mind waiting one bit if I am at least acknowledged when I walk into an establishment. Seemed very rude to me.

OVERPRICED AND MISLEADING PRICES!! I Was told a certain price to use their service. Then I was offered comparable prices from the US post office. I was told my package would cost $44 to ship with UPS. Then I was told by a UPS employee that the US post office would charge me $96 to ship the same package. When I took my package to the post office it only cost $47. I was lied too They quoted me more than a 100% more than what the post office actually charged me when I took my package to the post office. Maybe this was to deter me to use their service. Then I found out it was a convenience fee for the UPS to use United States post office shipping. So, it would cost me $44 to ship my package and another $52 UPS convenience fee. However, although the girl behind the counter was very nice and courteous and just doing her job, I will never ever use UPS shipping services again !! Ever!!

I went in for a return shipping to amazon. The envelope was not closed so I requested to use a stapler. I live 15 mins away and wasnt trying to go home just to shut this envelope. The worker was very rude and said they do not get reimbursed for returns to amazon so she was not going to let me use a stapler, but I could buy a $5 roll of tape. Ultimately, I went next door and used that companies stapler, which Ill give them a great review for their customer service (CBD store on highland road and old 23). After I returned, I apologized for being rude ( I feel bad when I get upset). I looked into what she said (why I am writing review), UPS does get paid for return packages to online companies! So, she lied to save a few staples:(I go to ups every year and spend hundreds to send out Christmas gifts (cookies and stuff), I WILL NEVER GO TO them again because of this experience. You lost hundreds a year from me over a few staples. I hope you guys learn to treat your customers better before you go out of business.

Excellent service beyond what others offer. Things like a text message when shipments arrive and when checks come in the mail. No problem holding shipments a few days until I can fetch them. Very accommodating, friendly and customer focused. What more can you ask for?

Never using this location again. Have been a steady customer for a decade but today was refused shipping service unless I provided identification so they could “update their system “. Was told this by woman who presented herself as the owner that this is mandated by government. Past two shipments I have made have not required my providing an ID they simply used the information on file that crossed to my other phone number. So UPS loses and the USPS wins as do I since I saved more than 25% on a two day letter pack using USPS. 😁

Well, it’s been a couple of years since I last came to this Hartland branch, for a good reason too, the horrible customer service. I thought I would give it another try tho, and I see that the horrible customer service is still present!! Can you please offer your employees customer service training?? Never again. I’ll drive the extra 10 minutes to the Brighton store - they’re awesome there!!

RUN AWAY! The Howell store is right down the road only 6.7 miles that has amazing customer service and all the free tape you need!! If you go to this location in Hartland expect the WORST, unbelievable rudest lady I have ever met, as soon as she saw me walk in with a box of stuff told me to step aside and pack it up . I explained they need to be scanned and can go in the same box, she wouldnt help me scan them to figure out how many boxes I needed even, just kept telling me to step out of line. She had the audacity to mention how long the line was... when I arrived the store was empty and she refused to help me . It was a very long line by the time she was helping me and she was doing everything she could to avoid answering my questions and get me to leave or step aside, rude, arrogant, rolling her eyes, I will never go back!! ! Run away you dont want to waste a second of frustration in this hell hole, so CHEAP they dont even offer their customers the courtesy of free tape. The store just down the street only 6.7 miles away has amazing customer service and all the free tape you can want! Dont waste $ HERE

Terrible service from Dawn!! Based on other reviews this appears to be a trend with her. The company said they have addressed it. Id say thats not correct.I told her I wasnt sure of the best way to ship my packages and she said well its probably not worth your time to save a couple bucks and wouldnt directly answer any questions I had. She was talking to the people begind me in line more than trying to help me. Next time ill take my business elsewhere to someone who wants to help their paying customers. I just called the UPS store and just read the previous review. I agree that there is a lady there that was kind of rude and had a bad tone of voice. I was simply trying to get some answers but was disatisfied with how she handled it. It did sound like she was having a bad day and I believe that its the same person that I dealt with about 6 months ago when I called with a question as well as when I picked up my order. All three times....rude. As a business owner, I simply cant believe that she is still working there knowing that this has not been the first or probably NOT the last. Repeated complaints means there might be something wrong. I dont mean to get this woman fired or anything, but customer service may not be her line of work.

Posted this review for a friend. This incident happened 7/13/2018.SHAME ON YOU UPS!This is not something I would usually do, but I am absolutely LIVID so I need to vent!! Yesterday, my parents went to the UPS store on M59 in Hartland MI, to fax some information to their insurance company. They sat in the car idling in the heat for some time while on the phone with their doctor and insurance trying to coordinate the correct information to fax. As you know, nothing is ever easy when dealing with insurance, especially when dealing with the after effects of an accident involving an uninsured drunk driver, so they sat longer on hold than they thought they would... and their old car overheated. :/ They called for a tow truck to get them and were told because it would take awhile to get there and it was so hot, they shouldnt stay in their black car, but go into the UPS store to wait for the driver there. So, my disabled Dad hobbled into the store with his walker while my mom ran next store to the grocery store to get some drinks. Once inside my dad stood by the door in the air conditioning to wait for my mom (who still intended to send a fax from there as soon as she came back). The ladies in the store asked my dad if he needed help and he explained the situation and was waiting for his wife to return or the tow truck to show up. They asked him if he intended to buy anything and he said no, that his wife needed to send a fax but was next door. He was then told that if HE wasnt intending to be a paying customer than he would have to leave because he was LOITERING! Seriously?? My nearly 70 year old disabled Dad, a retired Battalion Chief with the fire department who spent his entire life helping others, was told that he would have to wait outside with his walker in the blazing heat because he was loitering in the unoccupied store for 10 min! What is wrong with people???? He wasnt causing a scene! He wasnt doing any damage! He wasnt being disrespectful! He was simply trying to avoid heat stroke! I am disgusted that they could not offer a shred of common decency for even a short time to a non-paying customer. DISGUSTING! Perhaps a little common sense and compassion training would be helpful to the despicable employees there! Grrrr! Shameful UPS!

Every time I come in to pick up some express envelopes or boxes I am treated like I am asking for handouts. Today, I asked for an express box and was handed a list of boxes I can pay for then the clerk said the express boxes were never stocked in the store. She was extremely unhelpful and acted like I did not deserve to be in the store. This clerk always treats me with condescension. As I walked out empty handed another customer commented on the situation.

Disrespectful and rude manager. Employee had pleasure trying to charge $121 to make a simple box that required $8-10 of material (at most). I called them out on their rediculous pricing, they took personal offense to it and started raising their voices at me as I walked out. Condescending laughter, to say the least. There is a reason there is never a line at this UPS Store. They are RUDE and overcharge for their services!
