Exceeded my expectations. The food was wonderful and the server was both genuinely friendly and accommodating. She got me sat even though they were full. I can see why they’re so popular. I had bacon eggs and mushrooms which were all done just right. Wish I ate carbs because the baked goods look amazing, but will get good reviews on the bagels I’m bringing to my family I’m sure.
My husband and I ordered the steak sarnie and flat white coffees to takeaway.The coffee was lovely and the sarnie was utterly delicious! If only wed had room for one of the gorgeous looking cakes on offer! 😋
This place is one of my favourites. Im passionate about supporting local businesses, but only where credit is due. This visit was no exception! Staff were so friendly, very attentive and could not have been more helpful. Great with my daughters allergy requirements. The cafe was clean and tidy. The outdoor seating area is a suntrap, and superbly comfortable. The food was fantastic. Freshly prepared, locally sourced and the flavours were amazing. Thanks to all for accommodating us so late on a sunny Saturday. P.S. take-out available for any tourists looking to try some awesome grub and drinks x
Just enjoyed a really lovely lunch @Kith & Kin. We had to wait 5 minutes for a table but it was so worth it and the waiting staff were super helpful. I can see why it is so busy. Really interesting menu suitable for variety of diets.
Food and coffee always good. Always extremely busy. Looked like new staff been trained. Some very interesting food not bog standard.

Great place for a meal or even a quick coffee and cake. Always loads of choice with vegan/veggie options too. Very friendly staff and love the interior. Always try to grab a coffee when Im in Whitley.
Amazingly fresh food and the most delicious peach iced tea I have ever had. I chose crushed avocado on sourdough and added two extra poached eggs. Everything was cooked and presented to perfection. Staff were so lovely and upbeat too! I snuck a pic of the bathroom as I loved the design it was so aesthetically pleasing (they also had free sanitary products which just made my heart melt! More places should be this kind and considerate) can not wait to return and try everything on the menu as there was such a selection and everything sounded delicious! Good food for a good price and my PT will be equally as happy as I was
Kith and Kin do absolutely fantastic breakfast and lunch food. Their reuben sandwich is the stuff dreams are made of (get it with the parmesan truffle fries!). I love that they do call-and-collect now on Saturdays to reduce queueing, and you always feel very safe going there with their Covid procedures. Seasonally, their gingerbread latte was one of the most delicious hot drinks Ive ever had. Wonderful cakes available. You do have to wait a little while for your food, but its evident thats because everything is being made fresh, from scratch, and its worth it.
This place is a great find, the food is fantastic and the staff are really kind and welcoming. Went for breakfast and the menu had some great choices and the food was delicious! Would highly recommend.

Passed while I was looking for something for my lunch, saw there was no queue so I took the opportunity to pop in for takeout. I’m so glad I did! I got a veggie bagel and it was absolutely delicious (as well as massive and really filling). Service was great and quick. I had to wait approx 5-10 mins for my bagel but it was worth it. Will definitely be going back to try more for my lunch.

Called this morning to organise a take out lunch. I was able to specify a collection time that was suitable for me (1.30pm). I arrived a little earlier in order to pay and waited for a short while outside for my order which came out bang on 1.30pm. The food was great, a nice treat to start the weekend. Staff were superb, someone regularly popped out to check on the queue and all necessary covud precautions were in place. I will be back for more soon!
Very nice place. I can recommend the Reuben sandwich, and also the Courgette fritters.

Arrived in Whitley Bay and sought out a trendy coffee shop with a good menu, we were not disappointed! The coffee was good, and the meal even better. I chose something called Samachukacha or thereabouts... Basically a middle Eastern styled breakfast cooked in a cast iron skillet... It had two eggs, tomato base, red peppers, yoghurt & mint, feta, and a mixture of seeds and nuts... Lovely and spicy, almost blew my head off! Just what I wanted! The Mrs mentioned that she would have liked to order Redbush Tea, but it wasnt included amongst the fairly wide range of teas... Id describe the menu as slightly eclectic / fusion / eastern, with a dash of hipster... Well worth a visit... See the images...

I had the most delicious reuben Ive ever had. It was rich with cheese and butter and sharp with sauerkraut. The pastrami came in a heaping portion and was tender and delicious. Staff were all very friendly and the place is well kept. Decor excellent too. I cannot wait to come back.P.S best sweet potato fries Ive had!

Food here was incredible and well worth a visit. Staff were really accomodating, we didnt have a booking but they squeezed us in between appointments. Well worth a visit - the cakes looked incredible too!!

Lovely food and chilled out atmosphere. I got carrot, buckwheat and cumin frittatas with feta, chick peas and mint yogurt. Lots of flavours and it was a big portion. Hubby got the beef hash and said it was very tasty. Pecan and toffee brownie and the raspberry and lemon cake both delicious. Service was friendly and quick, despite it being busy.
My wife had a vegan xmas dinner as no meat ones were left but when she got it either vegan meat has come on over the years or it was meat, either way she gave it 9/10 and would defo buy again.I myself had a Ruben, they go all out frying the bread in butter (any chef would be impressed) so if you have a bad heart think again. The beef was beautifully soft, it couldve done with sauerkraut spread all over but it was mainly on 1 half as it was screaming for the acidity to cut through all the buttery fat soaked bread. I thought I had a pile of sauerkraut on the side but it was a teaspoonful on top of some lettuce. Ruben would have been worth 4.50 but 7 quid plus I dont think.Coffees I had a oat milk mocha and theyd clearly used a dark chocolate powder rather than just cheap sugary stuff, unfortunately it felt like it hadnt blended with the milk properly so I struggled to taste the coffee element of a good mocha. My wife had a gingerbread coffee which she loved.Tried a choc orange cuffin made elsewhere had me intrigued how do you laminate a muffin like a croissant?? but wish I hadnt top was burnt and dry, covered in a bag of caster sugar and when we ate it all it was is a croissant laminated into the shape of a muffin with a smear of chocolate running through 30p to make 100 times more to buy, wont try that again.Would go and try other stuff as it was nice it just didnt wow n wouldnt get the same stuff
A little gem of a cafe in Whitley Bay. On a Sunday Morning when most places are closed, this place was buzzing...& Deservedly so. The decor is intimate & welcoming, staff are prompt & helpful. It is cosy, not vast but the food is superb. Healthy & indulgent brunches were the choice of most, all served with the freshest of eggs & tasty bread. Vegan, vegetarian or carnivore, the kitchen caters for all. Loved it, great cakes & coffee too...I could go on!

Excellent food at reasonable prices. Everything Ive had on the standard menu is sophisticated without being pretentious, and unlike many places generously portioned. Plus the daily special gives interesting variety for regulars. Definitely the best place for brunch-style food in Whitley Bay and thats a competitive field!Also have a range of delicious cakes and the best hot chocolate in the area.
Been wanting to go here for ages as loved the look of the menu. Had the steak baguette, which took the regular steak baguettes to another level... Best Ive had!! Coffee was awesome too. Definitely going back and might just take the kids as the kids menu and the fresh baked goods means that there is something for everyone. Highly recommend this place.
Brunched on Fri 5th July.Excellent friendly place.My companion said it was best French Toast shed ever had.I had poached eggs and Bacon.Eggs were perfectly cooked.Menu covers good dietary range.Id go again if in the area

Very pleased with our choice of Kith & Kin restaurant. Very pleasant staff and surroundings. Delicious coffee and we were very pleased with the cheese scones we ordered. There seemed to be a delicious variety of cake also. First visit with daughter and myself but wont be our last.
Always a good place to go for breakfast or lunch. Tasty inventive dishes with good service. Its a nice space with kind staff and juicy steak sandwiches!

Very tasty sandwich/salad based menu. You get a reasonable portion for what you pay. Lovely sides too, especially the fries! Not loads of seating, but there are tables outside when the weathers good.
Kith & Kin is a modern coffee shop which also serves a range of food and cakes in the centre of Whitley Bay. The interior is warm and cozy and the staff attentive and friendly and service good. Along with the normal range of tea and coffee variants, the hot menu offers generally healthy options which are slightly unusual and may not be for traditional tastes. Good old traditional bacon sandwiches are available however! Its a great venue for breakfast, brunch or coffee and cake with friends.
Enjoyed my coffee. Liked the look of the cabinet displaying xakes amd goodies. Sat outside with my dog.
Good coffee. Although they dont offer traditional breakfasts like the Full English, there is plenty of new and quite unique alternatives to choose from. The bacon was excellent.
Well fitted out, polite staff, chilled music me gorgeous vegan meal. - had the Buddha bowl and I totally recommend it. So much flavour and so good for you!

Beautiful flat white and different milk options (including oat). Nice décor too that strikes a good balance. Good spot to work with WiFi and benches to watch people go by :) oh and dog friendly 🐕

I ate here twice last week and loved it! Gorgeous setting with lovely staff. I had the cinnamon french toast one day (which was divine) and the mammoth cheese toastie with sweet potato chips the other (Incredible!). Loved the decor so much I asked the owners where the chairs were from as well as the light shades! I want my house to look like this! Really wonderful addition to Park View. Whitley Bay is all the better for these independent foodie places. Cant wait to come back!
