Visited store with our adult son prior to dinner. Sales associate measured his feet (size 12). and had him stand on the gel profile board. Our son picked out 3 styles to try on. It was obvious we were planning on buying that day since we told him we were returning to Florida the next morning. Sales person had him try on the 3 shoe styles our son had picked out. He showed an 11 1/2 for the first style; a 12 wide for the second style; and a 12 regular for the 3rd style which fit him and he ended up buying. I asked if they had the first two shoes in his size (12) and was told no. I feel the associate was trying to sell him any shoe, even if that shoe did not fit him. Why else try on an 11 1/2; and a 12 wide when his size was not available. Not what I would call ethical for a specialty running store.

I went into the store looking for a fitting expert for new running shoes, being a seasoned runner. The young man who helped me was in training and timid but mostly helpful. However, the older man behind the counter never once even looked up, never acknowledged my presence or thanked me for my $300 purchase, or offered to help. Very very disappointing.

Visited this store earlier this afternoon to try getting running shoes for the first time. David was there and helped me out by fitting me and helping me out with a couple pairs and narrowed in on a shoe that fit perfectly. It was slightly outside my price range so I ultimately didnt get it, but I want to thank David for helping me out! Made me feel comfortable even though I wasnt a runner and was new to these kind of shoes!

I’m a avid runner and I stop at every running store that comes across my path. The Vertical Runner is one of the best. The prices are amazing, Patagonia and brooks shirts for $20. Huge selection in apparel, shoes, gear, and running snacks. Expert staff, super helpful and knowledgeable about trails near by. Can’t recommend enough.

Ive been a customer here for years. They spend a lot of time fitting for shoes. I spend a while in the store last week. The attendant made several trips to the basement to get shoes for me to try on. (I have weird feet.) All of the products in the store are quality and reliable.

Vertical Runner is my go-to Running Shop. They have everything you need there and an amazing staff that will help you with any and every question you may have about running gear. Vince the owner does an awesome job to be in store as much as possible and to come over and greet you with a big giant smile and thank you for coming in and visiting them whether you buy something or not. If you are an experienced Runner or just beginning this is the place you need to go for all youre running needs.

Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. When you walk in, they immediately get to work on helping you find your perfect shoe. They have you walk around, measure your feet, ask you your needs and preferences. I learned so much about my feet from going here! Plus theyre passionate runners themselves and advertise different events. Really good people that will take care of you whether youre a marathon runner or just someone that wants good shoes for the treadmill at home.

Ive never met someone who knows as much about running shoes as Chase. He was incredibly attentive and really took his time to make sure that I selected the best shoes for my feet. Would recommend Vertical Runner to everyone, from the jogger to the hard core runner.

They are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Prone to pronation? They will identify the issue and suggest multiple shoes that address the problem. Same with arches, wide or narrow feet (or specific parts of your feet). Are you a runner, walker, hiker, etc? They will give you choices and let which shoe you feel most comfortable in. My wife an I have had excellent experiences here and have been very pleased with the shoes we purchased.

Great running store. Of course, they have all of the typical selections that you would expect, but they also have the added benefit of doing various events and providing running groups. I highly recommend checking them out! Plus, they are an Ohio/local business, which is always a plus.

Talk about knowledge. This little shop is so much better prepared than the large sporting goods place at the mall. They will help you without having to track someone down for a size. They helped me find shoes that were comfortable, ive been wearing a half size too small, they got me into a shoe that feels so good i no longer have foot issues. Im a once in a while runner, but these guys are the pros. Their prices have been lower than msrp. Love this place. Check em out.

Employees were nice and helpful, I was just hoping for a larger selection of winter running shoes with gore-tex and gloves. (Only 3 shoes options and random selection of gloves but very few small.) Lots of great choices if you arent looking for gtx.

If you are a person that has trouble finding the right shoes, this is the place for you. They are fantastic at looking at feet and figuring out what works with that foot shape.

Vertical Runner is the place to go for the best running/workout shoes. They will fit you the way it used to be done in full service shoe stores. I wouldnt go anywhere else for quality athletic shoes. I would recommend them most highly.

Gentlemen at the register tried to sell me shoes I did not want, and when I got back home I had two different shoe sizes. I drove all the way back out (30 min) to switch shoes, all I lgot from him was attitude not gratitude. I would say it is not worth the drive
