Pro shop: Carts are outside. Stay on the path.Me: Okay, thank you.Pro shop: Stay on the path.Me: Do you have a map or something. It’s my first time playing this course.Pro shop: Stay on the path.Wet conditions (obviously). Driving range was closed. Price was reasonable. Clubhouse was nice. Navigating through housing development.
Shot my low round ever. Greens rolled true and fast. Awesome to have cart service back.
Really a great job keeping the course in awesome shape. Please help your guests keep up with pace of play.
Overall, it was a good experience. All staff were very courteous and helpful. The fairways, tee boxes, and roughs were all great and well maintained. The greens had a lot of ball divots and bald spots.....more than we anticipated but appear to be easily corrected with a little TLC. Otherwise, no complaints...it was a fun course with lots of elevation changes and we will definitely play there again!
Great greens. Overall good conditions. Fun day.
One of the best in CLT 2021
The course is nice....but grossly overpriced.
The greens are the making of the course they will only get better. Well priced for a weekend round around Charlotte. Staff are cool and easy to deal with.
Played on a Tuesday mid morning. Arrived at first tee with 5 groups on the hole. The group behind us had the same tee time we did. Waited on every single shot. I dont think they are properly managing tee times.
Challenging golf course in great condition. Look forward to playing it again!
Still a great track. The fairways were wet, following rain the day before, but the greens rolled perfectly with speed in the 10-11 on the stemp meter. They are continuing to make improvements so this spring/summer should be great.
Friendly staff, well kept course. Plenty of room on the driving range with grass practice area.
What a beautiful course. Last time I played there was back in high school
I love this course. It has what many course can lack, character. You have to think your way around this course and putting requires your attention to breaks and speed. Recommend this course for those that want a FAIR challenge.
First class.
Great track !!!!!!! Nice greens def would like to play there again .
When this course first opened, I really didnt like it, but over the years, they have put money into it - and last fall, they installed awesome new greens, and now I really enjoy it! Fairways and greens are excellent, the layout is really well done, and the pace of play is pretty solid... Runs $61 for 18 and a cart, and is very hilly if you choose to walk...
Course is in much better shape, and considering the amount of rain recently, draining much better.
Very wet...doesnt drain too well....greens were excellent !!
First time playing this course and it was surprisingly challenging and difficult.
Skybrook is back! Back to one of the premier pay for play facilities in the Greater Charlotte area and improving everyday! The new Skytop Grill is fantastic from an after round beverage to a family dinner. The new greens are incredible and despite all the rain lately the course is extremely playable. I would give more stars if I could!
Really nice course. Tough though. Range is closed on Tuesdays. Great time.
First time I have played in a very long time. The course has maturrd into an unbelievable course. The staff took great care of us. The condition on the golf course was country club condition. Lush fairway, greens were very true and quick. If you havent played it before or played over fifteen years ago you definitely should
Great course and great staff! Reasonably priced for how nice the course is.
It is a great course
Course in great shape.
Great course, well kept. If you want a challenge and to have some fun, this is the spot
Course is getting greater every year
Course was in great condition. Greens were aerated recently so putting was a struggle. Give it 2 weeks and the greens will be back to normal and playing amazing.
Horrible course, horrible shape. It was hard to find a grass spot to hit a ball. On top of that charged full price for cart path only. Needs a lot of help.
Very good golf course for long hitters but at 77 it is a great place to play
The location is nice and quaint, and the service was good but the food can be improved. Its alright for a quick bite, but nothing to write home about. Trivia night on Friday night was difficult but fun.
Great place to play golf. Clean, variety of homes to choose from. Small but quaint golf club /grill. Great place to walk or run
Greens are in great shape. Fast and smooth.
Course is in great shape. Greens rolling very good. Such a fun layout.
Course was in great shape. The greens were in excellent shape
Course in great shape. Greens amazing.
Great new greens and fully renovated clubhouse. The clubhouse looks so much nicer now. Plenty of TVs and beer selections to choose from after a golf round!
Great layout and greens running fast and true. No complaints at all.
Great layout. Well maintained. A very good test of golf. Staff was very nice. Hotdog was tasty. Can’t wait to see the new greens
Everything was top-notch. Beautiful layout.
I loved it here! We went for the seafood buffet later in the evening. Great food, great price and so friendly. We sat outside so we could watch the sky change colour as the sun went down. So relaxing. The house red was surprisingly delicious.
Course is very nice very helpful people. The carts are a little slow.
Played on 5-18-2017. Greens were best Ive ever seen here. Course look great. Not five stars due to bunkers need some work with better sand. Very helpful staff.
Awesome place with the nicest staff.Golf was good the course is a good test for all golfers and the greens were in great shape.Would play again with no worries about if I was going to have a good experience - I know I will
One of the 10 most improved in the US in 2017! I never tire of playing Skybrook over more than 20 years. The current management is doing things right! Lots of passion going into the course. It has always had good bones and the extra care going into it makes it even better.
The staff at Skybrook Golf Club are kind, courteous and so helpful. The staff, including Bill and Mike, as well as the starters, are friendly and very attentive to the needs of their players. The entire team at Skybrook goes way beyond expectations to ensure we had the best possible experience. Id highly recommend Skybrook Golf Club, simply based on the great team they have working for them. Excellent job!
Skybrook is a top notch course to play in Charlotte. The greens are in A+ condition and the course is truly a hidden gem. Best staff around!!!
Played the course on 6/30 and it was in great shape. The fairways were maintained and the greens rolled very well. The only downside which keeps me from giving a 5 star rating are the bunkers. The sand (or lack thereof) in the bunkers are horrible. Its like hitting off concrete. Hopefully they will get the bunkers straightened out. That being said, I will definitely play the course in the future.
Friendly staff. Fair price. Fast greens and overall good course condition. Would love to play again in the spring or summer when optimum conditions.
Beautiful course with greens in a great shape. Good customer service at the club.
I have played at SB for many years and the staff is great. You will feel like your in the Mountains but did not have to drive very far.
Very nice golf course. Very warm welcome for women, which is a plus, and the option to play 9 or 18 holes on the honor System.
Like it a lot. Greens were a little bumpy. Staff is nice. Great bargain. Ill be back.
I love almost everything about the course. Fairways in great shape, course layout is fantastic, rough and greens are excellent. The only thing that is preventing me from giving this a 5 star rating is the bunkers. They are in absolute miserable condition. They were simply unplayable when we went last week. Im hoping with some time they will be fixed, but it was quite disappointing seeing the bunkers the way they were. As long as they can get the bunkers fixed, Ill definitely be coming back.
Booked a tee time on Golf Now. Was greeted by the GM Mike in the pro shop. Class act. Had some time so we decided To grab a bite to eat in their snack bar. Had the pleasure of talking with the bar manager ( big guy from NY ) and he made us the best lunch we could have asked for. Couldnt say more about the staff. Friendliest course ive been to in quite some time. Ill definitely will be back. Courses layout was spectacular and the greens were in good shape for this time of year.
Great place!
The course reopened at the end of August and is in great shape.
I didnt actually golf, but I did dine and drink. The food was good as were the drinks. The staff was amazing and so helpful. We had good times.
Nice course. Quiet, not usually busy. Lots of neighborhood events are held at the club house here.
Had the course to ourselves after a rain and cart paths only. This course is not for the faint of heart, or if you didnt bring your game. Bent grass greens that roll very well. One of the few places around that havent lost them because of the heat.
Great value, major improvement in bunkers over the last year. Fairways and greens mostly in great shape.
Greens in best condition in years (Oct 2019)
Ive played the course when it was in better shape. I hope they dont let it go like Highland Creek.
Very nice Place to golf in great condition, also had a nice restaurant on site with a great selection and surprisingly reasonable prices.
Great condition, worth every dollar
One of my favorite courses in the area.
This greens and fairways are in great condition and Skybrook recently got new golf carts. I highly recommend to anyone looking to enjoy a round in Charlotte/Huntersville NC area.
Driving range is NEVER OPEN so you can NEVER warm up here. If you like playing cold...this is the course for you.
Fun challenging course.. rough is extreemly high and difficult, causing us to lose balls we normally would have been able to find, but course was fun and affordable on a Fall afternoon.
This is a really nice neighborhood. I was there dropping off one of my friends after coming from Boone, and was in awe with how gorgeous the houses are.
Course was in good shape. Course has many many many elevated greens, so balls wont be rolling on. Also there are a lot of tight lies around the greens, so chipping needs to be done well.
Played this course a few months ago and it was in great shape. Just played it again yesterday and was extremely disappointed. The greens were horrible. They looked diseased and dead. Fairways were in good condition. $39 to play during the week with lunch included is reasonable, but I will not play there again until the greens and sandtraps are fixed.
I am really disappointed to give this rating because this was the only course that I played back in the early 2000s when I lived in Charlotte. Drove down from W-S with good expectations and this place is struggling. For $48, no way. If you play, hit it in the rough - no grass in the fairway.
Price was incredible and included lunch. Greens in bad condition and rough was way too high. Lost about 8 balls in places I would have normally found them.
Course is in fantastic shape!!
Great place to play golf very helpful staff and burgers are DELISH!!!!
Nice looking tract.
I had avoided this course because of its sullied reputation, but I gave it a try on 8/17/15. It was apparently mismanaged for a number of years, but is now under new management. The course layout is spectacular with surprisingly steep hills and valleys. Take a club or sometimes two extra clubs on those elevated green shots. There are a few bare spots in the fairways like many of the courses in the area due to winter kill and drought, but it did not affect my enjoyment. One green was in bad shape, but most of the rest rolled nicely. If conditions continue to improve, this will once again be a top notch course.Worth playing especially if you can get a deal.
Great shape and a lot of fun.
Great course and the people are friendly and knowledgeable had a great time
Always friendly and willing to work with your timeframes. Other players are always friendly as well. Fairways are always tall
Great layout/good conditions/friendly staff
Nice layout on the course bit didnt play to well
First time playing Skybrook and found it to be an interesting layout. The course was in good condition almost everywhere. There were a few holes where it appears that they have trouble keeping the grass growing (e.g., #8). Reasonable rates and friendly and helpful staff.Main complaint: It was a hot day and none of the water stations had more than a dribble of water in them (until we got to #17, which by then was almost too late). Also, a couple of the garbage cans on the course had trash overflowing onto the ground (e.g., #11). Both of these are easy fixes - and only mildly detracted from my overall impression of the course. That is, the golf was good so Id play there again.
Visited a few times. its very nice.
Great semi-private golf course!!
Nice course. Fairways and greens I very good shape.
Greens were a little beat up that day then we got rained out offered a rain check so no problems ....The course set up is nice and staff is great just the greens were off that day
Great track. Needs a bit of TLC on the greens
A friend and I played this course over the weekend. To be honest, it looked nice from the outside, but for a $30 green free, I was genuinely disappointed by a play-ability of the course. For instance, the rough on either side of most fairways was so thick and tall that if you didnt hit your tee shot into the fairway, there was a good chance you would not be able to find your ball in the rough on any hole. I shuffled my feet through some rough close to the tee box on hole 10 and found at least 3 golf balls that were impossible to see otherwise. Many of the fairways were also covered with what looked like bird droppings and what we could only assume were clods of cut grass. I think we took the biggest issue with the condition of the greens. Nearly all of the greens were more dirt than they were grass; causing the greens to play surprisingly fast, only for the ball to come to a standstill when it hit what was essentially mud. That being said, I do not want to sling mug or besmirch the name of this course. I simply want to express my displeasure with the state of the grounds and the seemingly high price that I paid for a round of golf on a course in such a shape that day.
