As a first time owner, this place was very helpful. I came with a lot of questions and they took their time explaining everything clearly. The individual behind the counter even saved me some money by directing me to an equal but slightly cheaper box. I highly recommend this place to anyone. Their selection is great and super plentiful, even during this buying frenzy.

I’ve been shopping here for several years now and have always experienced superb service from all staff. In this day and age of ammunition scarcity, I don’t care about their high prices, and this is one of the few places that I can purchase Underwood extreme series ammo. However, today was a different story. Today I took my son so that he could make his first ammo purchase and we sought the assistance of a young man behind the counter. I was extremely courteous to him, as I am with everyone with whom encountered, and from the start, he was discourteous and snippy. As we were about to check out, he pointed out that the ammo we are buying was Armour Piercing, which was a mistake on my part (for lack of knowledge), his remarks and attitude was was unjustified and condescending. After completing our purchase, and I express my displeasure with the way he treated us, he simply said he didn’t care and not to come back. I came home and looked through my files and saw that I spent over $2,700 last year and even more the previous year. Apparently, LAX Ammo’s business is doing so well, that losing one customer is no big deal. I see that the owner reviews these posts and I challenge him to examine the video of my transaction see if this young man’s attitude towards customers is what his company strives for. for.

I’m not the type to leave comments but I was there on 3/12/21. I was at the store and the young man that checks you in & does the background check was very very helpful!!! For some reason I keep getting rejected he kept trying and finally went threw but he could of not wanted to help me but he did & went the extra mile and took care of me. I had a really amazing experience buying a bunch of ammo at this store. It was my first time there, and Im not a particularly experienced shooter (I mostly go shooting with my dad and some friends, but I am planning on shooting more in the upcoming year).I arrived about 30 minutes before the store was closing and they had several customers on the floor browsing. An employee asked if I needed help, and I definitely had a lot of questions that he helped to answer. He also directed me to the best deals on the many choices of ammo they had to offer, including educating me on the rebates that were available. Since I was buying a lot, they even grabbed a cart which they loaded for me, which was very kind. In addition, they printed out extra receipts for me to mail in for my rebates. Plus, they helped me load everything into my car! From start to finish, they were great.They have an adorable dog on premises, who is very sweet and friendly, making this a near-perfect customer experience. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to buy ammo, whether you are a relative novice like me, or an expert operator!

I work a 9 to 5 job but got word via Instagram that a new shipment had just come in. Knowing I couldnt be part of the early bird line, I messaged them ahead of time on IG and asked if they thought there would still be ammo towards the end of the day. The answer was the typical were not sure which is totally understandable during these times. They also said I could shoot them a message towards the end of the day. So at 3pm, I did. And they sent me a photo back informing me they still had the ammo I needed in stock. Ive never seen a store do this normally, let alone while also being tied up with phone calls, impatient customers, and a line a mile long outside.Once I arrived, the store had just closed, but they still let the last people inside, myself included. The staff were very friendly, as they were the last time I went in. Definitely will be my go-to store for ammo. During the last 6 months prices have sharply increased.I have heard they charge a dollar whether you buy ammo or not. To avoid this fee just let them know you are price checking.Conclusion:I won’t come back even after ammo prices have settled. Other local ammo shops have kept their prices about the same so my business will be going elsewhere.

I called LAX Ammo and right away I was told, sure we got that caliber in stock. Hesitant to try a new place, I gave them a try. Bought a rifle case that was advertised to fit my gun, and after finding out the hard way that it didn’t, I was then told no returns are accepted. The product was never used and even had the tag still on it for resale. If you want to buy something from this place, be damn sure it’s exactly what you need. Otherwise, take your money elsewhere.

DO NOT BUY PRICE GUAGING more then other stores who charge $150 for 500 9mm. These price gauges charged me $376 for 500 of 9mm.I am reporting them to the County DA office.

The staff here are beyond amazing and informed but im not gonna pay 17 cents per round for 22. 200 bucks for 1400 rounds. Talk about gouging and its the same with 9mm and with 556. Other places stayed the same or only slightly increased. And much of the expensive ammo is just reloads ontop of that. And even though they might say well ammo shortage again local shops are cheaper and can help you order ammo or you can get ur ffl3 or whatever that lets you ship ammo to your door in California

What a gold mine! I was pleasantly surprised to walk in a see a great variety of ammo and price selection. I came in for some handgun target and defense ammo. I spoke with Robert the manager of the store and he helped me a lot. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and it was cool to find out that he was a veteran too. Went into the shop to pick up some plinkering rounds and shop around for new rounds for self defense purposes. Although shop was not busy, after viewing some of the deals, I was quickly helped by Keith. Keith was very knowledgeable. I am a shotgun shooter, both game and targets. LAX has a great selection of both target and game shotgun loads. A large quantity of both at gun show prices. I dont shoot much rifle or pistol but it looks like there is very little they dont carry in both rifle and pistol ammo as well.Glad to see a well stocked ammo store in OC with low prices!

I called and got a quote on a 1000 primers they said $60. I asked them why it was so expensive and if that is the regular price. The person said that is not the regular price but since it is had to get primers they raised the prices. I really liked LAX ammo but this is very disappointing, I don’t get why they are price gouging

I drove by at random today not even knowing they had this location. They by far have the best ammunition selection and prices in orange county. It very well organized, clean and the staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. Online sales being gone now, we have to be grateful for the few places like this one. Based on the reviews, I went there today and bought a few cases of ammo. Each case costed $327 plus tax, which I didnt mind paying. However, there was this Caucasian male with short hair was on the rag and gave me the worst customer service ever. Clearly, he didnt enjoy being there. The RUDE dude didnt even say anything as I came up to the counter to pay. He didnt tell me how much it was and I had to ask. I gave him my card, then, as he pointed to the receipt and said YOU WILL SIGN THIS RIGHT THERE These type of RUDE psychopaths ruin the pleasure of human relations and is really a parasite for the business owner as well.
