Beautiful, delicious cakes and cupcakes. The owner is amazing with her skills of artistry, flavors for the cakes and cupcakes. They are so delicious they sometimes sell out and need to close earlier than the sign says. Need to get there early for the best selection. A must stop when I go to CA

I cannot rave about Bubba Sweets more than I already have to all of my friends. I would love to post a photo but the cupcakes were so good that I ate them up before catching that perfect instagram moment!For myself HB is quite a drive but always worth when I want a sweet treat(especially being pregnant) Then I found out they do custom cake orders!!!!! Cannot wait to order all my future babies cakes from here! Also need to mention the cleanliness of the place I am very weary these days of where I step into but Bubba Sweets left me feeling safe and satisfied!

Wow! I’m not a huge sweets person usually but these cupcakes are beyond amazing! My husband is allergic to gluten and got hooked on their cupcakes a while ago. They have so many gluten free and regular cupcake options and every one is so delicious, light and tasty! The perfect cupcakes in my opinion

Stay away!!! I ordered a custom cake and as you can tell, it didn’t go so well (I posted a picture under photos). At first i wasn’t ready to sever ties because I’ve been going to them for a while and didn’t think that was necessary. Being left disappointed I reached out to bubba sweets to inform them of the situation with the cake and me being unhappy and to maybe set a different expectation to their customers who order custom cakes. The owner, jessarae, responded to me and claimed the cake isn’t “that far off” . Then proceeded to blame me because I don’t understand the “art form” and her bakery “does not and have never offered to make exact copies of someone else’s cake” when no where does it say that as a disclaimer or was I told that when I placed my order. And despite her agreeing that I should have been better informed when I placed my order I am still the one to blame. After this experience and this level of unpleasantry and unprofessionalism from the owner I will never be returning and I hope you save yourselves the trouble

The owner here is amazing!!! She is super sweet and the cupcakes are amazing!!!!!!! But they do other things too. Everything is good. My favorite by far is the (Im not sure what they are called but I call them unicorn horns) they are pretzel sticks with caramel wrapped around and dipped in chocolate. OMG so so good!!!!

Fantastic cupcakes. Im glad to see small business reopening and hope people go to small businesses. But seriously good cupcakes.

This is the best cupcake I’ve ever had! We were going to get coffee next door and saw their sign that said they had won on Cupcake Wars so we went in. They had a buy 5 get one free so we ordered six different cupcakes including the flavor that won on the show. It was amazing! Unlike other cupcake shops, the cake was moist and delicious, not just a base for the frosting. The topping flavors were accurate and tasty. This is definitely worth stopping for.

Got the cherries jubilee cheesecake as bday present from a great friend! Hands down the BEST cupcake Ive had in my entire life!! Incredibly delicious and decadent!!

Wow - just discovered this amazing cupcake shop. Tried 4 flavors, Almond Joy, Black Berry Crush, Snickers, and the famous Mango Cheesecake - Cupcake wars winner. Each one super light, and decadent still. Up until today, I never thought I was a cupcake person. Im a convert now, and will be back soon. The owner Priscilla is super friendly, and patiently answers all your questions. Its right next to a Starbucks too! What more could you want.

I remember the cupcakes used to be amazing!! I wondered why my cupcake tasted so awful today.... I guess they changed ownership. What a disappointment. Now the cupcakes are no better (maybe even worse) than the value pack you buy at a grocery store. So sad... Frosting is strange and frothy and cake is dry.

I used Bubba Sweets several times in the past for work functions, and the cupcakes were always a hit. The business was sold about five months ago, and the recipes have changed. Cupcakes that were once moist and delicious have become dry and weak in flavor. The texture of the frosting is gritty. I understand that they have switched from using oil to using butter, and the change is extremely noticable. They have also discontinued custom design. I wouldnt come back here.

So Ive had a few cup cakes in my time. From the OG Hostess Cake with signature swirl when I was 5 years old (Bubba Sweets has a replica that will blow your taste buds) to fancy creations out in Malibu, Los Angeles, Burbank, Costa Mesa and of course Huntington Beach. Bubba Sweets has some tasty pieces of art, their service is quick and friendly AND they won Cupcake Wars...I mean, come on! What else do you need? Head on over, walk inside, order 1 or 6 :) and savor sweet perfection.

We went in today and the cupcakes looked different. The girl didnt admit to ownership change. We ordered the salted caramel which used to be the PMS cure and triple choc which was the willy wonka. The salted caramel was WAY too salty as far as the frosting and the caramel on the top was not the same... it was a lump that melted. the cake was dry. The choc frosting on the wanna be wonka was not good. If the new owners are going to use the BUBBA SWEETS name... they should stick to the bubba sweets recipes. This was a waste of money today

These cupcakes are delicious! Love the flavors, cupcakes are super soft and moist and the owner is so sweet. The prices are cheap as well.

Ive had these cupcakes catered for three events now and people have fallen in love with the amazing flavors!!! I highly recommend trying Bubba Sweets for your sweet tooth!

Cupcakes were dry and dense, rather than fluffy and moist. The cheesecake frostings were missing....cheesecake. Cute shop, cute cupcakes, but lacking in flavor.

New owners 🚮 overcooked the cupcakes (PMS CURE) claim it’s same recipe but it’s completely different. Sad to see such a good place go downhill.

Just hands down best cupcakes Ive ever had, and Ive had my fair share lol, whenever I see a creative cupcakery I always try to check it out because I love to see how creative they can get, so I can confidently say that Bubba Sweets is the best! Not only are the cupcakes all really cool and beautifully immaculate looking, but they are super delicious too! Their frostings have just the right amount of sweetness and the cake is always moist! They seriously need to open more shops! Almost forgot that they were champions on the show Cupcake Wars- definitely says enough right there!

I went the other day and noticed they went from designer cupcakes...to now just so so cupcakes. Not only that $3.75 each ...no thanks.

The cupcakes were delicious and Priscilla is awesome to work with. We look forward to coming back.

AMAZING! gluten free cupcakes, this place is such a treat for me since im GF. their gluten free PMS cupcake is scrumptious and their Gluten free double chocolate cupcake is yummy. i had my friend who isnt GF try my GF PMS cake vs her gluten PMS cake and she said their was not much different in flavor just slight difference in texture :) i love this place and dream of their cupcakes!!!

This place is soo filthy. I could only see the front of bake shop and I couldn’t even imagine what their kitchen looks like. Walked in to order some cupcakes and looked and around and immediately left. So gross.
