If there were 10 stars possible I’d rate Island Bazaar with those!From Uke Jam on Thursdays to EZ12 twice monthly, it couldn’t be more joyful. A true community is built around playing ukulele and life long friendships are made. Shirley Orlando is the leader of the pack and creates an atmosphere of fun, fun and more fun. The store is chock full of ukuleles and accessories necessary to begin your lifelong relationship with music. Friendly service and welcoming people! Come on down and give Island Bazaar a try, you won’t regret it.

Best ukulele store ever I brought four of my ukes to be restringed including my electric one which they all said did a setup on people are always super nice here I hadnt been here in four or five years but glad I came by I will certainly get all of my future ukuleles and ukulele accessories from this location Great job guys really great job also totally got to play this rad banjolele I cannot wait to buy one.

These guys were amazing ! Had a show within 2 hours and they re strung my guitar cleaned and did a much more professional job then you would get at places like Sam Ash or Guitar Center, In fact I had called Sam Ash right before I discovered them and was turned down by the guitar tech, because of the wait . It’s experiences like this that turn me on to small business music stores. I’m not a ukulele player but my electric guitar is everything and these guys took care of it for 20$. Very passionate young men that obviously have a joy and respect for musicians. Great job guys I’ll be going back

When talking about Island Bazaar. You should know it is the largest ukulele shop in Orange County. Shirley, the owner, is very helpful and friendly. Chad, and Jason is also helpful and friendly. Great prices.... Any of you folks heading down to Surf City, Huntington Beach should visit Island Bazaar. From beginners ukulele to Hawaiian made professional ukulele and you may as well find some vintage Martin hanging down the shelf.

What a neat experience! Walking through the front door, I feel like I was instantly transported back home to Hawaii. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and was immediately able to help me with what I was looking for. They made some helpful suggestions, and even tuned my instrument for FREE! Ill be back for sure.

I purchased my first ukulele ($80 concert) and started learning/playing the last week of August. Having experience with and owning 6 guitars, I started to create a list of issues with that ukulele as I noticed them. After two weeks with that ukulele, I was in search of a better quality one in a tenor size and stumbled across Island Bazaar after a quick stop at a large chain store where no one knew much about ukuleles. At Island Bazaar, however, I was greeted by Chad and he proceeded to show me the tenors that they had in stock... And by the way, they have the largest inventory that Ive seen so far, in Southern California. Chad just about lives there and is very knowledgeable. I took my time to figure out which ukulele I wanted to ultimately acquire but, when I did, Chad got it on order immediately and he was able to get it in stock at Island Bazaar within 2 days. Amazingly, he was also able to beat the lowest competitors price. Im so glad I found Island Bazaar and I know I will be back frequently since they have ukulele strum groups almost every night if the week. This place is rad.

This place was recommended by a friend, as I was looking for a ukulele for a gift. The staff is awesome, & they have everything you could possibly need pertaining to ukuleles, including a huge assortment of instruments. Its surprisingly spacious inside, & they offer classes, performances, & more. Best of all, the prices were great. Such a difference from guitar center, where I walked out because no one would even make eye contact when I went in.

This was so cute! There was an elderly couple at the front, they spent time on the costumer, and I felt very welcome unlike other places I’ve been to! They gad many Ukulele brand a wonderful designs! I luv my uke!

Chad ROCKS! We flew in from the East coast this afternoon and at the rental pickup my beautiful and talented wife informed me that in our early morning rush to the airport she had packed music but forgot to bring her ukulele. Shortly after we checked into our hotel she looked at me with doe eyes and said, Will you buy me a ukulele? Needless to say the answer was, Yes (I had already been considering it).After a quick Google search at 4:15, I found Island Bazaar about 30 minutes from our hotel. Sad news, they close at 5:00 on Saturdays. We walked in with about 8 minutes to spare and started looking around. They have a great selection with ukuleles in just about every price point with a large variety of styles. Chad was helping a couple of other customers and by the time he asked if he could help us it was well past 5:00. He patiently talked ukuleles with my beautiful wife and showed her several that met her initial request. Then they talked some more about Regular G and Low G totally losing me. At around 5:40 we were rung out with a new ukulele, a case and music.Chads knowledge and interest in the instruments and his apparent understanding of good business practices (if you have customers, stay open) really made our day. I asked if this was his shop and he said, No, but I love working here. If he continues to serve customers like he did us, I am confident that Chad will go far in life.If youre in the Huntington Beach area and looking for a ukulele, be sure to stop into Island Bazaar and tell Chad the couple from Maryland sent you!

I went there for a Meetup which was cancelled and nobody told me...so I was disappointed when I got there as it was an hour drive for me. I didnt think they could win me over with the mood I was in after receiving this news. But the young man that was working was so personable, so apologetic, so welcoming... I left very happy. I fell in love with what will be my new uke while I was there. I will be back to buy it. And hopefully go to another meet up. Im looking forward to going back.

Probably one of the best ukulele stores in the country. Shirley and her employees are very knowledgeable and helpful. If you are a beginner uke player you should enroll in her upcoming class in mid- January. She is a great teacher too.
