Cute, cozy atmosphere and very friendly staff, but the food was disappointing. I got a few things - the Mexican Street Corn empanada (filling was great, but the wrapper kind of stale and limp), a Chocolate Raspberry Cookie (good), and a Lemon Lavender Roll (dry, and hardly tasted like anything in its namesake). If I were to come back, itβd only be for the tea/coffee and confections. Unfortunately regret coming here for breakfast π
A truly unique experience. You feel like you are in a bistro in France or New York city without the rushed attitude. The atmosphere is inviting and you want to sit and look at the decor and all the breads and pastries on display. Not only are they beautiful but everything we tried was delicious! The young man serving us was very friendly and kind. He took the time to explain what items were and was just a pleasure to chat with! We will most definitely be returning and recommending Nomada to anyone wanting a great experience!
Cozy and delicious cafe in Huntington, not far from the college and downtown. Had a selection of the empanadas, each one a tasty few bites (great crust and well seasoned fillings. The pepperoni roll is a worthy homage.). Pastries are great, with the croissants being a real standout. Coffee program is on point, but theres a real star in the owners homemade saril. Order it on a hot day and take a walk in the riverbank park across the street. It will change your summer.
I was looking into trying a new coffee shop and this place looked nice according to the reviews. Everything was going smoothly, I clearly stated Iβd like four cakes: two mixed berry, chocolate, and a caramel. The total was around $25 and I tipped which brought the total to about $30 and I chose no receipt. I never saw the price per cake because it wasnβt written on their menu. I was handed the box, I didnβt think to check so I started my way back home. Once home I opened the box and only saw three cakes. I decided it was worth my time to go back and get my other cake because it was meant for my grandma and didnβt want her to be left out. I had thought I already paid for it and the fact that it was the workers fault I didnβt think it would be a problem to pick up the fourth cake. When I returned I was told that I was only rung up for three cakes and considering the amount of time I had wasted I felt it was completely unprofessional to ask me to pay for the fourth cake. Had I known before I left the house it wouldnβt have been a bother but $25 for three single serve cakes seemed kind of expensive, not to mention they were very dry and the icing tasted like straight margarine. The appearance of the cakes definitely impressed but they tasted as if they had been sitting for days. Overall I was disappointed with my experience and will not be returning. I would leave a lower review but I support local business and understand this is not the owners fault.
A little piece of Latin America right in the middle of Appalachia. The menu is simple but elegant, and the owners ensure that their offerings are both unique and high quality. I recommend coffee and any of the baked goods. All of this in a historic train station. This is a must go place in Huntington.
Love this cozy bakery. Though their space may small, they craft excellent baked goods. Their empanadas are world-class. The birthday cake they made for my wife was insanely good. They also have great coffee.
Great breakfast. Best coffee Ive ever had a anywhere, get the French Press you wont regret it. Had tons of cakes and baked goods. The guy working the register doubled as server and he was absolutely amazing, very friendly and knowledgeable about the items that were on the menu. The atmosphere is very laid back and chill, this is a cool little local spot in Huntington Id call it a hidden gem, def a great experience.
Cute place, barista was very helpful with suggestions for breakfast option. The ham and cheese empanadas were tasty.
Such a cute find in Huntington! Showcased at Heritage Station, a train station turned small business shopping center, this bakery is a must try! Based on other reviews, I tried the French press and it did not disappoint. Sampled the chicken curry, honey bacon egg white cheddar, and pineapple empanadasβall delicious!! Cannot wait to try some of the desserts I snagged. The staff were so professional and had my to-go ready in no time. Definitely recommend checking out this gem.
Coffee is excellent. Very cool location in the old train station. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Best coffee in Huntington.
Decided to have their empanada lunch special. It came with two empanadas of your choosing, green salad, and a drink. Everything was delicious- the empanadas were flavorful and the salad was one of the freshest salads Iβve ever had, house made dressing on the side included. Perfect light lunch that doesnβt leave you feeling stuffed, but fueled for the rest of the work day! Support local π
The greatest place in Huntington for empanadas. We had them do our wedding cake and 18th birthday cake for our son. The alpha cake is the one of the greatest cakes we have ever had. You can also buy the cakes in mini versions. They have plenty more to try. I definitely recommend for you to check them out.
What a lovely spot with friendly service and delicious eats. Our familys favorite is to get a box full of assorted empanadas. Ive loved every baked good Ive had here!
Everything about this place is inviting. The service, the staff, the presentation and attention to detail are a 10/10. From the way they make their coffee, cakes, empanadas, to the monstera painting behind the counter, and the ones sitting outside. You can tell its all meticulously thought out. I hope everyone goes to enjoy this place for years to come. Also... Id go just for the creme brulee π€€
I am obsessed with this place! I make a point to visit every time Im home. Every single thing they make is amazing from coffee to cookies. Try it, and spend some time looking in the shop next door at all the locally made products.
Lovely coffee, lux desserts, delicious empanadas! Nomada definitely provides something unique that was previously missing in Huntington.
These empanadas are a national treasure. I think theyβre the best Iβve ever had.
Very Friendly staff, good service, delicious cakes.
Coffee and drinks are good. Only problem is no sneeze guard for pasteries and any can touch them.
Such a beautiful and delicious place in the historical area in downtown Huntington. The empanadas are so good and at a great price. I had the lentil and chicken curry empanadas and they did not disappoint. I also had the alfajores and they were very good (perfect consistency of the dough).Coffee is also very good. The ambiance and service is top notch, there is no other place like it in Huntington. Highly recommend!
Had lunch this afternoon. Absolutely wonderful. Cafe was perfectly prepared.
