SVG is now my first go-to website for solo board games! Actually, it has been for all of this year. A large selection of games, along with excellent customer service. Orders are processed very fast and my games show up packaged with care. More people need to support the smaller shops and especially those that are veteran owned and places that support other business that are also veteran owned. Wow, I was lucky to stumble across this fantastic gem of a store while looking for a deluxe copy of Dice Miner. Couldnt find it at any of the bigger online retailers or anywhere local to where I live, and I think I was into page 2 of Google search results when I finally found it here. My order was fulfilled, packed, and labelled within an hour, with a short personal message about the games I was purchasing. When the box arrived, I could tell it went for quite the ride, but all the items inside were in perfect condition due to how well-padded it was. However, there was an error in my order. One of the games I received was very similar to but different from one I had ordered. Within 2 hours of me sending an email explaining the situation, I received a UPS tracking number and a reply saying the correct game is on the way. What an awesome place! It took a minute to find the place and then make sure we had it right (it is in a residential community, although it sounded like a storefront is in the works; just look for the right address, its a steep driveway you want to look for), but oh man I am so happy we figured it out. This place packs SO MUCH variety into such a small space! I saw a TON of stuff that some of the other, much larger places in town do not have. Im pretty new to board games in general, and I got to explore so much that Id never seen before, and of course wound up going home with a bunch more games. Will ABSOLUTELY be back, and Im really excited to see this place grow with a storefront and get to explore it all over again!

Honestly, I am not one to write reviews simply because it is extremely difficult to impress me. I’m a major critic, very skeptical, hesitant in trusting people, and tend to lean towards only seeing the negative. . . other than that, I’m a pretty nice guy. . . . anyway, enough about me. With all that said, I really wish I could put into words how happy I am that I found Stone Valley Games. I was having a really difficult time locating a particular ‘hard to find’ game. I was getting even more frustrated when I would locate it and see the ridiculous price tag attached to it. I was actually very close to giving up on ever finding it. Finally, I not only located a copy of the game at Stone Valley Games but it was also at a reasonable price. . . . . naturally, I was skeptical about purchasing the game from an unknown source. After thinking about it for a few minutes, I decided that I would send a short little email out to the company asking them about “Shadows over Camelot” another game that I have been having difficulty locating. Eric, the owner, not only responded back to me that same evening but gave me a rather detailed history of the game and why it’s currently out of print. All I could say to myself was ‘wow,’ this guy knows his stuff! Immediately, after feeling it was safe, I purchased my game from Stone Valley Games. As many other reviewers have pointed out, the item was properly packaged. WOW! It arrived quickly. WOW! There was also a personalized hand-written thank you note inside. WOW!!! I have ordered games from other companies before with little / few issues with them. Incredibly friendly, great prices, world-class customer service, whats not to like? I recently placed my first order with Stone Valley Games. They had the cheapest price anywhere on a hardcover RPG I had been looking for. The book arrived slightly damaged in shipping. It was clear the book had been very well packaged but had gotten seriously mishandled in the shipping process. I told Eric from Stone Valley Games about the situaiton, really just as an FYI, as the damage was minimal and I told him specifically I was not looking for any replacement or refund. Eric suggested we submit a claim to the shipper, but later found out it wasnt possible in this particular situation. Without being asked for anything more, he then told me he was sending me a new copy of the book at no charge. Stone Valley Games fixes problems that arent even theirs! Im a customer for life!

I found Stone Valley Games through the Solosaurus Podcast. They have been sponsors of that show from the earlier days with the original hosts. I have a FLGS (friendly local game store) that is not so friendly. I also have a not so close FLGS that I love, but it’s an hour and a half drive. I have used a certain online retailer that likes to send you your hobby board games in paper or plastic envelopes. But I like my hobby board games not beaten up. Stone Valley Games is now my Friendly Distant Game Store. This family owned company knows the hobby and takes great care with your order. The owner, Eric, has always sent a personal note along with my orders, which is a vey nice detail. Their prices are very competitive and they ship quickly. Fantastic customer service and have a great collection of games, especially hard-to-find ones. This was the only game store on-line that had all three titles that I wanted. The package was so well packed with more than enough bubble wrap to protect these games no matter what. I had to contact the store about one incorrect item (mistakes happen), and the owner answered the phone on Christmas Eve and had everything sorted out in less than 5 minutes.
