SO. MUCH. FUN. We loved our time on the UTVs! We had a two person, two hour tour and out tour guide was great! Be prepared to go fast!! The views were incredible, weather was perfect, and truly had so much fun! We brought a bandana to wear over nose and mouth because it does get quite dusty, but they do provide goggles! Highly recommend if youre in the area!

We decided to hold a group activity at The Beach at Sand Hollow and couldnt be more happy with how it turned out. Keeping 50+ people entertained, fed, and happy is sometimes a difficult challenge, but everyone had something fun to do. Cheyenne was especially great at helping to set-up the lunch burger bar. We decided to rent two of the boats that came with captains. It was so nice not to have to worry about driving the boat. If you want a fun day at the lake, then The Beach at Sand Hollow is the place for you.

Macy at the front desk was extremely helpful and very personable!!! We didn’t have any reservations and she was able to hook us up with a paddle board and jet ski. She had great recommendations and helped us have a great day on the lake!!! We will definitely come back.

We rented 2 ATV from them. It was fun till I realized that they charged me with the deposit (1000$) for no reason and without any explanation. I contacted them and they told me the manager will contact me to explain. That never happened. Very disappointed with their service! Watch out ppl and check your credit statement after visiting this place!The riding experience was fun and worth it.--- update 6/10/21 ---I disputed that unauthorized charge. They need to provide the proof of damage.Checking other reviews, I noticed that it is not the first time people have issues with this place regarding their payments.-- update 7/6/21 ---I have not heard back from the manager. very disappointed with their service. they did not contacted me and/or provide any proof of damage. I had a good experience I rented a jet ski the price is very affordable $ $130 per hour and $54 per added hour and the jet ski ran and worked really good . Good customer service,thanks.

Our family rents boats every summer at different lakes. Renting from Sand Hollow was the worst experience I’ve ever had renting a boat. Didn’t get on boat until 30 min after our rental start time. We even arrived 25 min early. Driver’s seat had two holes in it and when I sat a rusty screw came out and punctured my skin. Drivers seat in boat fell backwards and came out of floor! We had to stand for our 8 hour rental to drive the boat because the seat kept falling over. So many things in the boat were broken. Glove box broken and full of sand and water. Boat was super dirty when we got in. Beer caps on the floor, mud and sand on the seats. Steering wheel was horrible and had issues turning, very hard to turn. Boat fumes were super strong and making us nauseous. Canopy was zip tied on. No anchor provided. Boat looked NOTHING like pictures on the website. I’m surprised they didn’t seem more concerned about my leg being punctured by a rusty screw or the driver seat coming out of the floor. They offered me a whopping 20% discount. If you want a clean and safe boat. Do not rent from here!

Have used these guys for our water adventures at Sand Hollow! And have sent many clients their way over the years when we have been asked what they should do while they are here! They were the first place we went when we first moved here and have continued to go through them since! Never disappointed and Jovi is an awesome guide very knowledgeable and helpful! Will definitely be requesting him and referring him to others!

Got to cross driving through sand dunes off my bucket list! We went on a Tuesday at the end of Sept and were on a one one one with our Tour Guide Cheyenne. Had soooo much fun! We were all smiles. If I am ever back to this part of Utah I will definitely be back.BTW people on here complaining about charges obviously did not read the waivers they were given to sign off on and or listen to instructions given to them by their tour guides. I got stuck while driving and stopped like instructed instead of burning up the engine/ belts

Stay far away from this place as they have the WORST customer service. They claim that they had info on their website pertaining to the Swimmers Itch Bacteria that is pervasive throughout the lake but they did not. They are probably scrambling now to add it once we called them out about it. We found out from several families staying in our hotel who caught it really bad and had these nasty Chicken Pox looking welts all over their legs and arms. We contacted them trying to recoup our money and they down played the severity of the bacteria claiming that the families we spoke to and saw did not take the proper precautions to not get it. This was a false claim as well and we called them out on it. Regardless they rather put folks in danger vice refund your money. They dont care about the customer only that you reserve under them and heaven forbid something happen they at least got your money. Apparently this company used to be good but now locals have said they are only.money hungry and have put policies in place to ensure they have a reason to keep your money without informing you about specific health risks at the lake. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Great place for low-key lake fun! The lake isnt the biggest, but its plenty big enough to have some fun. The people working the place are super laid back (in both good and bad ways), so its a really nice place to chill. I was very impressed with the burgers they serve! The meal set is reasonably priced, and the charring from the grill was just perfect. Definitely upgrade your drink to the BASH frozen drink, its the best.

Perfect place to spend the weekend! Service was amazing and the front desk person i believe her names Cheyenne was the most genuinely helpful person I’ve met there. 10/10

We rented jet skis and zipped around the lake. Staff there is amazing! Cheyanne got us out on the water quickly and was really fun to talk to. Its always great to be helped by someone who seems to enjoy their job. Thanks for giving us a great start to our day, Cheyanne!

My wife and I camped at the campground for almost a week and went into the store several times for food, ice cream, ice and other things. The employees were extremely friendly and helpful, especially the girls behind the cash register/rental counter. It was refreshing to actually get great customer service for once. Thanks for the great service and helpful attitudes. Can’t wait to return on the next trip down.

Good place. Rented vehicles to ride over the dirt roads located at a place near by the rental place. They have a restroom as well here.

The girls at the counter were so sweet and knowledgeable. The cost of renting the boat was a little over priced especially for a boat that was filthy inside with a broken speedometer. The young man who gave us the instructions and demo ride was helpful and efficient. The first tube we got went flat in the first ride but they were quick to exchange it for a better one.

Best place for deals in St George on rentals and fun at the beach by far! Talk to Cheyenne, she has helped with multiple rentals for myself and friends of mine when visiting St George and will always have the best insight for your adventure.

Keep the beach clean please! Great place to cool off, if you’re lucky you’ll find a spot under a tree. The water is fairly warm but not uncomfortably (80° in the summer).

Went on a guided tour with some of my brothers. We had an incredible time. The great thing about having a guide is that he knows the trails and terrain. So if you are following him you can be pretty safe that the hill your flying up at full throttle doesnt go off a cliff on top, or over another rider. Youve got to do this. And dont be cheap, its worth it to get a guide if its your first time there. 👌🏼

The tour was great. But beware they keep trying to charge my for the atv rental that I’ve already paid for I was charged 2 more times for the atv rentals. I’ve called and no one answered. I was charged a total of 3 times $292…

Lots of options at this park. Bring your own toys or rent theirs. On site food grill, camping supplies. Good size fishing hole.

Rented a powered jet ski our first day. They charged $40 more compared to what the website estimates INCLUDING gas for a 3 hour ride. We really wanted a jet ski so we paid anyways. Told it would be a 15 minute wait for someone on the beach to return a jet ski rental. 30 minutes later still no jet ski available and told to wait another 15 minutes. 15 minutes later still no jet ski. I ask for a standard jet ski instead and got a refund for the difference. We head out to get the jet ski and the employee is about to send a couple out on the jet ski meant for us. We tell them we have waited an hour for our jet ski so they switch us for this couple. This couple got there literally 5 minutes before we were given the standard jet ski so they had almost no wait for their jet ski. TERRIBLE managing from the college age employees that work there. Im okay with how lenient they are but they need to make sure equipment is readily available especially if its Thursday and isnt busy at all.We also rented a canoe and party paddle board. Those transactions went a lot smoother than our jet ski transaction.

If I could give them zero stars I would.My experience here was absolutely horrible from start to finish. The jet ski broke down two times within the span of two hours and when we were finally granted a new one, it broke down after about 40 minutes. We were then stranded in the middle of the lake waiting for the crew to help us. When they came over, the worker called his coworker and asked if it was the jet ski with a bad a battery. Absolutely ridiculous. Management was no help, only children running the place and the manager was literally a child under 5’0 who didn’t know how to properly satisfy unhappy costumers. Will never be going back, DO NOT COME HERE

The teenage girls working the desk didn’t answer the phone the 2 times we called. Then when we got there the two surf boats were in the shop. Every boat they had was a pile of junk. You can tell there isn’t much competition for boat rentals in the area because they don’t even try to earn your business.

The Group I was with has a horrible experience with theTourist center. This place did not advise us on the water conditions andI think that they should have. These Waters had strong current and the Jet Ski and find boaters Have No Boundaries. I heard jet skiers receive knowledge

Tour was so awesome. Definitely a few big steps up from your regular ATV tour. The dunes and trails were legit, challenging and super fun. Tristan was a fantastic tour guide, showed us a great time. 5 stars.

We visited Sand Hollow State Park rather than mess with the crowds at Zion. Upon arrival at the beach, we realized we wouldnt be spending time on the beach as it was crowded and dirty. We decided to rent some kayaks at this BASH place. The prices were reasonable. The staff however were mostly useless. After filling out a disclaimer/release sheet, we stood at the counter for several minutes as four employees stood with their backs turned to us having a conversation. We stood there awkwardly with other customers in line waiting to be helped for far too long. The kid on the beach getting us our boats didnt know the difference between a kayak and canoe? The outside of the building was faded and there was trash piled up nearly everywhere. Our entire experience was strange and uncomfortable.

We RESERVED a boat for 10 people. Waited over 30 mins to get a smaller boat which wouldnt go more than 10 mph. Then were given a bigger boat (12 passenger) thats engine was flooded with cigarette butts! All in all a very bad experience. Felt sorry for the guys at dock. The problem is with the office. Very poorly maintained boats and liars at the rental area!

This place is great, beautiful, clean and with plenty to do with family. You can rent canoe, kayak, ATV, Jet Sky, scuba dive plus more at affordable prices.

Super cool kids work here and they make sure youre taken care off. Grab an ice cream cone and then head out on the water on some of their rental toys.

Rented an ATV car and drove it in the Sand Dunes for a couple of hours. Staff was super friendly, helpful, and understanding. Was our first time riding in the Dunes. Had a blast! Worth every penny!!! So much fun and amazing views! Will be back for sure and will definitely recommend friends. Thanks so much!

Online booking system cannot be trusted.Twice in same week !! We booked a boat online only to arrive to be told they didn’t have one available, despite my email confirmation.School kids dealing with customers are very pleasant, but when you’ve spent the entire morning getting ready for an afternoon on the lake, what use is “sorry” when you have to tell your family they have to wait 5 hrs or there’s no boat available.The first occasion, we waited 2 hrs to at least get on a boat, but it was filthy and had lots of broken parts on the interior. Had not been cleaned in weeks.We come here regularly with our own jetskis, but will never rent a boat here.

Terrible experience start to finish - rented a boat for 11 people for 3 hours, took 30 mins to get the boat ready, we boated for 30 mins before it died in the middle of the lake. Employee took 30 mins to come out and get us, tried to start it, didn’t work, so he towed us in. Several other employees tried to start it but couldn’t get it to work - they said it was likely a dead battery. We debated with the office folks for an hour - they offered a smaller boat and jet ski which would not work us since we had young kids. They refused us a refund saying it could be operational error even though their employees couldn’t get it to work and said it was a battery issue. Do not go here - the boat was disgustingly dirty as well as unsafe.

So We had a great time on the lake! My boyfriends 1st time on a jet ski! Only my 3rd time. The lake is big enough to keep 1st timers entertained and the views are beautiful! The reason for the 4 stars is because we rented two days in a row my sisters came out and rented as well the second day. No one greeted us with warm welcome and we were not told thank you. When I’m spending that much money simple “hey how you doing and well thanks so much have a great time” would be nice. One of our jet skis had a warning light come up and my boyfriend took it back in the guy at the water could not help us do to the fact that he just got his tattoo done. Not sure why he is the one at the water helping people if you just got tattoo done. Next guy was very helpful and polite he added more time for inconvenience and got us a faster jet ski! He definitely made up for tattoo guy! We had a great time on the lake! And would definitely recommend the experience!

Beautiful lake! Great time out on the 8 passenger boat that we rented. The boat was a little old and not kept up very well, but the workers were all very friendly and helpful!

The beach was clean, restrooms were easily accessible and the water was clear and beautiful.

We rented a ski boat for the day and two jet ski’s for half day.The staff was friendly and helpful getting the boat going.The problem we had was the equipment. It is not as shown on the websit. It’s outdated and poorly maintained. The boat we were scheduled to take was an old bay liner, that was not cleaned out and even had some packing tape holding the the throttle handle together. We voiced our concern and they moved us to a different boat. We got out and it wouldn’t keep running, the steering wasn’t working and it was so underpowered that it would barely pull up a small person on the wakeboard. They were willing to change us out to the original bay liner. It had an alarm that would go off almost continuously and again so underpowered it would hardly pull a wakeboard…..Then one of the jet skies kept dying. They switched it out with minimal trouble.Again the staff was nice enough but their equipment is junk. For the rental rates we expected functional clean equipment.We had fun but wouldn’t recommend rent water equipment from them…..

Rented a High Output wave runner for 2 hours yesterday said up to 65mph when ordering. First wave runner It would average 35mph and upto 40 with flat water and wind at my back. (Supercharged Kawasaki) Went back and asked them to swap me out (it also was about to run out of gas). Second waverunner was a Yamaha HO. Also looked about 10 years old or older grips were falling off and took a long time to start 5-6 tryies and working the throttle. This one was in KPH Average was 40mph max of 47mph. I paid for the faster wave runner but feel like these units are so old they wont get anywhere near top speed anymore. Went back and told the people and was told sorry no refunds. Find other places to rent from I went with her due to convenience. Paid more to get something better but got the performance of the cheaper package.

A one-stop shop for fun, food and souvenirs. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the BLT with fries and enjoyed that yummy meal out by the water. Overall, a very picturesque location and a fun place to hang out....especially during warm weather!

Great time on the sand dunes. $15/per vehicle to get in for the day. The rental place has helmets and ATVs if you dont have any, but if you can bring your own so you can take advantage of all the trails and dunes. 4x4 vehicles have some great trails from what it looks like, but I came for the 4wheelin

No shade but the water is great and cold also a lot of fun options like jet ski, kayaking, waterboarding and boat rentals... A lot more but thats all I remember. If I want to enjoy the water 10/10 would go again.

Mixed review. The area is great. Our tour guide for the razor was also good. But, we were not told when we rented the razor that it was extra $40 if we did the sunset tour. We paid $440 for two hours. Our razor was also mis-aligned and was turning right. Our tour guide said it was okay so we just went because we did not want to waste time. Overall, it’s overpriced!

This beautiful beach is just stunning we drove by because we were heading to bryce but its a must see ... I would of stayed there all day but we didnt .. red sand .. clean lots is parking .. and other fun activities to do there

I rented 2 jet skis and one did not work properly. I was getting ready to leave the dock and the jet ski wouldnt start, the worker told me to keep just pushing the start button and gas, after struggling for a while, it started up. By time i got to my beach area, the jet ski was not running properly, i Immediately called and spoke to Cheynne and she said she would send someone out to get the jet ski, 40 minutes later no one arrived, i then called back to the front desk and a different girl answered and told me to drive it in, i asked for a refund for the 1 jet ski since we didnt use it and Cheynne said they couldnt refund me. Very bad service, i took a picture of the jet ski sitting there in the water by itself while the other jet ski was out and called twice trying to get help, not sure what the issue is for giving a refund to something that didnt work properly. I would like a call from thr owner but Cheyenne said theres nothing they can do, really disappointed!!!Your scenario is not accurate, As mentioned, I would like to have the owner contact me, thank you

Friendly and helpful staff. We rented ATVs and one overheated on the Dunes. They brought a replacement out to us with no questions asked. They also gave us additional time because of it. I would recommend the Sand Dunes highly.

Yummy food! Prices are pretty on point for locals and as a tourist spot. Most meals run you about $10 each and the portions are big, I got the BLT, husband got a burger and the fries are awesome. The ice cream counter is the best ever for kids you can pick from lots of flavors and toppings. Everybody who works there is super friendly and helpful. Were locals so we can shop wherever but if you came here on vacation and forgot anything they had shelves of all your camping and swimming wants and basics. They even had wax for our skimboard, bonus! Also some really cool keepsakes and jewelry to remember the area. Prices were surprisingly fair, nice to see a tourist stop that doesnt gouge the pocket book.

Thrle positive, this place is so nice. The water is so warm and pleasant. We brought a big inflatable and life jackets. We would just be in the water all day. If you swim to chest deep, it feels more fresh and clean. Theres a place to rent but its at the entrance. The beach can be a little dirty with some bird droppings and such but only at certain places. Theres a sign at the entrance that says swimmers itch is active or something like that. Well my family did get some of it but it consisted of 4 or 5 red bumps on one of our legs. They were a little big like the size of 1/4 of a dime. They lasted for a week. It was itchy and I put on some hydrocortisone 2x a day. Its a fun place. We are going again next week.

Rented a jetski . 10 minutes out it started beeping that it was out of fuel!!!. Crawled back to shore. The steering kept sticking also. So fuel gage didnt work and . They would not refund our money Bunch of kids with no supervision running the place. Bad service and poor ly maintained equipment.

Kayaking was fun. We rented a double seater and a couple of single kayaks and went out to explore an island to jump into fresh water.

The water was at a perfect temperature! The view was gorgeous!

We had a reservation for a pontoon boat and after completing the paperwork, we waited 30 minutes for the boat to be put in the water even though it was less busy than normal (according to the staff.) They had only filled the boat to half tank so midway through our 8 hour rental, we had to go back to shore to fill up only to be told they would have to pull it out of the water to fill it and then put back in....taking another 30 minutes of our rental time. If someone has reserved a boat for an 8 hour trip, the tank should be full upon pick up.

Overall its a nice place. The staff are really friendly and know what theyre doing. The reason for the 3 stars is because the drivers seat of the boat we rented fell apart while I was sitting on it which caused a very dangerous situation where no one was steering the boat for a few seconds. We were very lucky not to have crashed into other boaters. The staff were very concerned and gave us a full refund. Their other toys looked to be in very good repair but their boats are aging. I would avoid planning a trip around the ski boats but everything else would be fine.

One of the best water parks in the Midwest!!!!! If you havent traveled to St. George, UT you want regret it..... the red sand is something you see on a postcard Amazing View!!!!

Super fun rwntals are well priced. The only problem we had was weather related.

Water is clear and warm. The beach has super fine sand is pleasent to walk in... However it gets insanely hot. In fact so not attempt to walk in it bare foot as a person in our party received second degree burns attempting to walk from the water to the road... ouch!Boat rentals are fair priced and the boats are in general in good working order.

We paid $813 for 4 hours for a boat that was advertised as a 12 passenger surf boat. The very old and rickety boat was a 12 passenger boat but it was definitely not a surf boat. It was an old wakeboard boat with no ballast system or surf system. The rope they gave us was a wakeboard rope and not a surfing rope. Our group of 10 made the best of it but I really do feel that they are false advertising on their website when they advertise it as a surf boat because it definitely isn’t.Also, we had it reserved from 1:30-5:30 but when we got there we were told it wouldn’t be ready until 2:00. However they did throw in a free board and gave us until 6:00 so we still got out full 4 hours with the boat which was nice of them to do. The staff was all very friendly but didn’t seem super knowledgeable when it came to the boats. The guy that showed us the boat and reviewed the rules with us told us that it was his second day on the job and his first day there was the day day before and that day was his first day he’d ever even driven a boat.The area is nice and we had a good time but I just wish they would have been more honest on their website with the description of the boat so we weren’t misled.

Great place to get food while visiting Sand Hollow State Park. Nice covered patio with lounge chairs, and indoor air conditioned seating. Fun outdoor chess and checker boards. Amazingly, the food was great, and the prices were really good. (Not over inflated park type prices)

What a great place to play in the sand and water. Rent a side by side from the Beach at Sand Hollow. So much fun and well worth the price. Just have fun.

They have a lot of rentals to choose from and their prices are fair. Staff was pretty friendly but a little on the lazy side. The customer service was poor...we rented a boat a little before 3 and they didnt actually get it to the dock until 4 and then still had one other family to take out for instruction before getting to us (they were not busy at all!!! It was because they dont keep the boats at the dock and apparently it takes an hour to get the boat from storage??) If they would have communicated this time discrepancy, we would have been able to work with them/move some things around to make it work, but as it was, we ended up getting our money back as we ran out of time to actually enjoy the boat and get the rest of stuff done. Big bummer

Kayaking is not as pictured online at all, this is a giant dark dirty lake with large boats. Not clear water in a rocky canyon like pictured online. When we arrived to kayak they refused to provide a refund and were extremely rude. Horrible experience and not worth the 2 hours it took to get here or the non refundable $50 for the kayak we didn’t even use. This place, and it’s employees, sucks.

Great place. Rental Jet Skis and an arctic cat on a couple different days. Everyone was extremely friendly, informative, and helpful. The equipment was in great shape, and safety was always stressed.They were very flexible with times of the gear being in/out, and accommodating with things we wanted to do. Prices were very reasonable and was a very cool spot.Id definitely recommend on cant wait to go back.

Rented a jet ski for a couple hours. The first jet ski was beeping at us from the start, employee told us it was fine. We listened and took off but the jet ski would just shut down on us constantly. After 15 minutes we returned to the dock and they gave us another jet ski. Before taking off we noticed this new jet ski had the check engine light on, once again the employee told us it was fine. After 30 minutes the jet ski died on us and wouldn’t start again. Luckily a friend had a jet ski near us and was able to go let the employees know that ours had died. They took roughly 30 minutes to get over to us, which is no biggie due being a busy day. By this point we were over the whole experience. Manager was super unpleasant. Would not recommend.

Great shop to rent boating and beach stuff close to the lake. They also have a Cafe in the shop as well to grab drinks and food.

The boat they rented didn’t work then they gave us a 200$ credit and didn’t honor it! Pretty rude and ridiculous service

The beach is a bit rocky until you get closer to the water...but is the red sand is so pretty! We rented paddleboards and kayaks and had a blast! It is shallow enough for the little kids to enjoy...but then gets deep enough to enjoy the bigger toys. One of my sons got swimmers itch and was miserable for a bit but after he showered off for a good 5 minutes he felt better. We will definitely go back!
