My husband and I are expanding our brand. We stopped by due to several referrals. We were in awe by all of the supplies from acrylic paints to airbrushing tools and paints from handmade paper to different types of canvases, this is the place to go. Anthony Ivory helped us find the right paints to use and even encouraged us to keep going. This is definitely the place to go if youre for anything artsy.

Glad this was just a miscommunication :)I called earlier today to check on the off-chance this story might be carrying pride flags since they seemed queer friendly and larger craft stores like Joanns and Michaels have been doing so. Im not sure if the person who answered heard me wrong, but they responded by laughing at the inquiry. Theres really no need to laugh, you can just say no. I wanted to support a local business, but now I feel pretty uncomfortable returning to shop here.Maybe the question seemed outlandish to you, but please dont laugh at people for asking.

This place is the end all be all. My wife paints and this place has all the obscure things she needs, served well, and willingness to order if needed. Love this place, wouldnt go anywhere else

They have Everything I need as an artist to create. This store is incredible. The amount of different media displayed in the space is done in a serene and extremely well-organized way. I just discovered the store yesterday and Im elated to have this in my neighborhood. Cant say enough good things, but I will be returning any time I need art supplies or gifts (yes, they also have a cleverly curated selection of gifts).

I am brand new to painting and the staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The abundance of supplies can be daunting to a newbie. The gentleman who helped me took the time to explain the differences in the supplies to me. On the occasion when he wasnt able to answer my question he told me as much and made sure to ask another staff member who did.

They literally have everything you need and its so close to where I live and convientient. Employees are SO NICE!!! Unlike the other places Ive been, no markers or pens Ive gotten from here were dried up either. Just perfect.

Always great customer experience. Inventory has been impacted by the Pandemic. Under normal circumstances inventory is pretty well stocked. However, this is no longer the case.

Seems to be an excellent store. Well stocked with a variety of mediums, and the prices were affordable. Similar or lower than similar stores, in my experience. I needed some advice, and the employees were helpful, respectful, and knowledgeable. To the point that I went to write this review! Definitely a new favorite of mine.

Quaint little store in a small town. Neat and orderly with a wide assortment of arts and crafts, but unfortunately they dont carry much of what I was looking for. What I did buy was very reasonable. I would give 5 stars just for the attention, service, and pleasantness of the staff. Visiting this store was the foundation of a great day.

I shopped this store today looking for a few specific things. The staff was great which made it easy. One of the items I needed, I couldnt remember the name. However Ive I described it to the young guy working, he walked me to the back of the store, moved some heavy boxes, and opened a flat file where it was located. In a store with unhelpful staff this would have been impossible, but he made it easy. He then talked with me about my project to help me select the correct paint.Another guy discussed the various paint markers they have. Both guys offered to call the DC location to secure other colors or items they didnt have.Great experience. Educated staff. Ill be back.

Very nice staff and stuck of art supplies. Came here looking for gold craft tape and a new set of paint brushes. They were able to show me where everything and I saw their huge inventory of supplies. Will definitely return for future art adventures.Note: small parking area

Best place around here for artist quality art supplies. The theyve always had what I need when I go, no matter how niche. They have a lot of sales too, so if you pay attention you can really get some great stuff for low prices. They also gave me some free paint leftover from a demo they did! Also, theres a cat. This is a very cool store for artists with an excellent location for the DMV area. Skip the big box craft supply stores and come here for professional, courteous service and a huge selection of high quality art supplies. Its billed as an employee-owned company, and it clearly shows.

They have a large array of artistic tools for many types of artists. The prices of most items are very reasonable, cheaper than other art supplies stores, and is closer to home. It is local and has the art supplies you need for almost any project. A 1000 times better then big box stores or Amazon. You can ask questions to real people, and they are knowledgeable!

They were missing some supplies, such as protractors, glue guns, and glue sticks. They only had one choice of utility knife. I was recommended by their staff a regular sized glue gun with small glue sticks. I didnt realize this until I got home and opened the package. Apparently they dont take returns or exchanges, either. Overall, the staff is nice, but their selection and policies are not.

Super kind and helpful staff! Prices are good. They have a huge variety of things including a lot of architecture equipment and modeling supplies. Ditch Plaza and Michaels and come here! Also a 7 min drive from UMD campus.

Very lovely craft store. The staff are friendly and the selection is great. I went to find a quick craft for my kids on a rainy Saturday and left with pipe cleaners, a funny magnet, and an ink cartridge for my ink pen. Very satisfied.

I had to buy supplies for my daughters school here and they were extremely helpful. Someone had just reserved the whole stock (and extra) of a sketchbook we needed, but the staff was extremely helpful in finding an suitable alternative. There is a wonderful selection here and I wish I had more time to look around. The employees were extremely friendly and willing to help me. Really this is just a wonderful store.

I love visiting here for ideas and new supplies. The staff here are always welcoming and help with odd questions and coming up with solutions to projects and inspiration for using new mediums. Great art supplies (I come in to class with things my classmates and teachers havent seen before), crafting things, and gifts. Its a large store - beware, its hard to leave without a purchase!

As a UMD architecture student, I go through a lot of craft materials and paper. All of the staff is so knowledgeable and nice. They always offer to help carry things, or provide information about the differences in material types. Theyre also very transparent about shipments and advance ordering which I have become very familiar with as my fellow architecture classmates and I tend to buy the store out of Vellum, trace paper, and dowel rods.

I have spent over $100 at this one store. I absolutely love this store. Hospitality in this place is off the chain and the materials and deals are amazing.

A well stocked and fun arts store in Hyattsville, MD. The store is set back from Route 1 in Hyattsville with limited, tight parking. Once in the store, a cornucopia of arts supplies awaits. Canvases and paint, clay, mold making tools, paper, journals, etc. My favorite is their selection of pencils, and at the counter they sell Rotring mechanical pencils. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but also respect your space and allow you to browse on your own.

Terrible, rude, heartless, discourteous staff. Ill never Ever go again.I Needed a couple of craft tools for a staff project (pumpkin/fall decoration) at the office. Didnt have the bandwidth to go to Bowie or Silver Spring to a Michaels so I called this store, located just a few miles from my home to confirm they had the few items I really needed to pull off our project. They had them in stock.Sweet! I explain to the staff person on the phone that Im coming there straight after work and asked if he could hold the main item for me. He said: theres several on the shelf, Ill see you when you get here.So, I close the office, rush to get home & get the kids from daycare (by 6), circle back to metro pickup my wife, drop wife & infant at home to get the dinner process moving & keep my 5 year-old in the car to go with me on an adventure to the paint/craft store.We hit the normal heavy traffic spots, lights, etc. But, its 6:57 on the dash clock, Waze says ETA -6:58, yet Im a bit confused by the one way streets in the bustling metropolis of Riverdale. my son says from the back Why does the road stop. (Hes never seen a dead end). I get back on Baltimore Ave and there it is, I can see it! I pull up to a door and run up. The door is locked, lights are off. Then I see, the door farthest from the road has a stair case and the lights are on. I call to my little stay in the car, Ill be right back and run up to the door. Theres two staff people there and my watch says 7pm, on the dot.I explain through the door. I assert that I made it to the door/store, before close. I remind them that I called and said I would be coming. I explain that I understand the inconvenience of restart the count and balance needed to close the register. I offer to pay cash.Nothing. Cant help you.This wasnt my first trip. It will be my last. Ive sent neighbors friends and family there many times in the past. My niece collected over $100 in gift cards that she used at this place last fall and I drove her there to spend it all and more buying paints, brushes, canvas, etc.. because I viewed it as a nice community business.Never. Ever. Again!On my way home my son asked dad, why were you mad. I had to explain to him that I can get angry too. but, just like you, I have to control my words and actions. Teaching moments... I learned just what kinds of business this is and the kind of COLD staff they hire.I later made the trek to the Bowie Micheals that was still open at 9pm. The guy walked me to my aisle and circled back to check on me a few minutes later... And the cost was about 2/3 of what I wouldve paid here...

I’m so excited for this art supply store!!Up until now I’ve had to trek to other areas for certain art supplies like MoCo, DC, Laurel, Bowie…but this place is pretty stellar. It’s extremely well stocked and their products are well organized and maintained. If youve ever tried to buy single sheets of nice paper or have hunted for a particular brush, you get how refreshing that is. It’s also, for the most part, very moderately priced for a specialty store with brand name paints and such. The staff were very friendly - and it’s pretty cheery in there (like the rest of Route 1 Hyattsville, there’s lots of vivid paint colors).There was one item I wish I had seen stocked, the Windsor Newton Designer Gouache (but they did offer other well respected brands that I may try) - but I was happy to find them on their website! And their prices on particular colors were quite a bit less than everyones go-to, Amazon.Thanks for opening up! 🙂 I look forward to spending all my money here, lol.
