Menards is such a great resource. Anything you need or even simply wish to research can be found here. I especially appreciate the different varieties of options/sizes available for most of the products sold here. From flooring to roofing, indoors to outdoors, garden to closet: you will find so very many options here!I suffer from choice overwhelm and have definitely had to take a breath while in Menards and control my desire to buy EVERYTHING IN SIGHT. For instance: there must be 20 types of gravel to choose from outside, a couple dozen styles of flooring, and enough storage solutions to fix my entire house lol!The floorplan is nice and open, and the sections are labeled so that you can see where things are located from a distance. How convenient right?!The good folks who work here are always super helpful and friendly, qualities this New Yorker always appreciates.

We visited the Independence Menards location a couple days ago to purchase two bathroom toilets. We were unable to find them on the shelves and contacted an employee named Cody. He stopped what he was doing and went back to the warehouse and brought us the two toilets on a cart. He helped us take them to the checkout area. One of the consistently good things about shopping at Menards is the courteous and helpful employees that work here!

Always find bargains at Menards have shopped and even worked at Menards and never been unhappy the big plus they have no self check outs which their competitors do and I despise them

Completely different experiences inside and outside.Inside is usually easy to find stuff and can usually easily find assistance. Just wished they showed aisle number online for products.Outside lumber and garden area totally different experience. Never can find anyone to help. Lumber not in order by length. Would think the 10ft would be next to or after the 8ft but its not. No one to ask where anything is. Had them cut some lumber in half for me one time, wasnt even close to being even. Discovered can cut it yourself which a lot of places do not do or allow. Even though told him I was cutting lumber the guard repeatedly questioned why I had 10 short pieces instead of 5 long pieces.

They often have a selection of hardware products you cannot find at the other box stores. We have bought everything from groceries, appliances, and even a bed here. We like to shop here and usually find other things we werent shopping for. Their brand of tools, Master Force, arent too bad. I have bought a couple and so far they work great. They often have a variety that beats other store prices for the same quality. The only thing I dont like is the mail in rebates. Just do a sale like normal people. I understand its strategic in hopes many people dont mail in their forms or to get people back into the store to spend more.I think we have shopped every department in the store. I recommend shopping here especially if you cant find certain items for your project at the other box stores. They probably have it here.

Best...store...ever! Its basically the Disney World experience for adults. Wonderful and magical things happen to me when Im there... Good deals, quality products, clean stores...all apparently magical qualities since other stores are unable to provide me with the selection of quality products had a reasonable price. Every time I go in there I come out with a new project idea. The only magical thing that happens when I go into the store that I dont like is.... vanishing money.

I used to enjoy wandering the store while shopping but we recently got a dog and learned that this hardware chain does not allow them. Luckily for us all the other chain stores allow our new family member to accompany us including Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware and Tractor Supply.

Huge chain hardware / retail store that has a very large selection of products. Varied from tools to food, you can find almost anything here. Isles are kept really clean and restrooms are maintained well. Not many staff, but when you do find them theyre very helpful and friendly. I wish they had larger selections of certain products that they only carry online, such as safes or select furniture.

It was a good place to find all kinds of things from home improvement to toys or groceries

First time to visit Menards and this place has everything you want or need. I bought a upright deep freezer and love it, five stars all the way.

Menards is always been my number one go to when it comes to gardening building materials tools power tools hand tools accessories if you can get half of your helper the security window and build a deck with an estimate all in one I dont know what else you could ask for in the store

Menards has a huge selection of tools, appliances, garden supplies, and building materials that far outclasses the local competitors.

Menarda is always great. Clean and tidy. The people there are helpful and usually very polite and friendly.

Spent an unnecessary hour and a half in the lumberyard. First they couldn’t find my online order for half an hour that came in today, which ended having a damaged part. Then they couldn’t find a single piece of trim that they said they had stock of when I placed the order at the desk after I tracked someone down to look for it when I couldn’t find it. And I didn’t even get a refund, just store credit to drive to a location half an hour away to see if that location had it. I used to love menards, but not so much after several experiences of waiting extended periods of time in the yard.

Worst experience EVER!!! We spent a small fortune on countertops for our bathroom. The man who waited on us and entered everything into the computer was not even in the correct department that handles this type of thing. He had no idea what he was doing and screwed the order up. After getting home and reading through the order paperwork we realized everything was messed up and had to go back up there and they transferred us to the correct department. They told us our order should arrive in store at the end of August. After a month of not hearing anything I checked the status of the order and found out it had been sitting in the store for three weeks. No one bothered to contact us to let us know it was there. My husband went and got our order picked up and after attempting to install the countertops we discovered that the backsplash measurements are wrong. The backsplash measurements that they did do not match what our paperwork says. Never again! We still have three more countertops that we will be buying somewhere else!

Nice store be carefull parking lot by hdcp spaces sunk down around pipes trip hazzard.alot of trash in parking lot trash barrel at main entrance overflowing with trask.

Menard is just as bad when it comes to having workers avoid eye contact with people so they dont get asked questions. They get a 2 start because home depot and lowes both get a one. They get 5 stars because of their price and availability. Thats it. I wish these chain places would hire better people thougj.

A massive store with pretty much everything. They have food, tools, reno/building, furniture, plants and more. It is a true one stop shop. Just be prepared to walk, the store is massive and the entrance is no where near the exit.

Ugh. Never. Again. A trip to the DMV is more enjoyable than a trip to Menards.Spent 10 minutes looking for my ONE item, only to have 3 different employees direct me to opposite ends of the store. Even after i showed them the item & SKU# from the website.45 minutes & a mile & half later, Employee #4 finally took me to my treasure.If you must go, arrange for curbside pickup.

You dont actually Save big money at Menards, because the 11% rebate is only during certain times (not always), and even when you mail in the rebate form, you never get anything back. When you call, they sat it must have gotten lost in the mail! You can take a photo of a check and send it to your bank for deposit, yet Menards cant allow customers to complete the rebate process online the same way? At least wed have e mails as proof, but we have to mail in receipts, then have nothing to show for our purchases! The postal service is expensive (as a whole) and unreliable, which is why its going under. This companys losing customers because of false advertising and inefficient business practices!

Store is always clean and neat, the staff is usually friendly and they almost always have what I need.

Its allot of extra work to order wood, pay for it then pick it up. They have you one enter door and one exit. Then you have to walk all the way in back corner of store to order walk to the register pay. Since only one exit you have to walk across the parking lot to get in car. Drive to the back of building (which is right next to where you ordered the lumber). They wont let you in the back lumber yard without a purchase.How about let people go in there to order and pick up their wood.

Shopping for odds and ends. I found everything I was looking for plus some. Checkout was easy and the cashier was very courteous.

Very poor experience, I purchased a new water heater removed it from the box to find the bottom all dented in. I returned it to have CS tell they needed from plumbing come and determine if they would refund my money. The manager came and approved the refund. The 11% discount is a store credit not a cash discount. I then went to Home Depot and purchased a new water heater.

Was removed from the store for not wearing mask. Full vaccinations do not matter. Medical exemptions do not matter. I was harassed in the store while watching multiple people with masks below the nose and mouth employees included.General Manager Andy can be held accountable for not receiving any of my business in the future.

Store had a big selection but it was hard to find anyone to help you and service in general was slow and needs work. Prices would be awesome if everything didn’t have a rebate process to go through.

My husband and I are renovating our house, so we planned a trip to Menards to spend hundreds of dollars on merchandise for our current project. My family and I were greeted very rudely at the door by an employee, who did not have her mask on correctly btw, that we could not shop there unless my child had a mask on.I told her my child is exempt due to horrible asthma, she said it didnt matter, she could be maskless in a cart but not walking around the store (which makes no sense to me), so I put her in a cart and continued on to go shop.We couldnt find what we were looking for because the aisle was horribly stocked. When I discovered that some of the items were on a top shelf and we would need assistance, my husband went to find an employee to help us. He refused to help us since my child wasnt wearing a mask.Then my child had to use the restroom, so we rushed to the restroom.Thats when 2 employees proceeded to stalk me and my child saying that she must wear a mask to shop, use the restroom, and if we were checking out and she didnt have a mask on they would refuse to ring up our purchase. I told them that my child is exempt due to asthma and my child isnt the paying customer, I am..... but they werent listening nor did they seem to care. I got sick of not being helped and being treated poorly, so we left empty handed and spent our money with a competitor that actually respects people.The behavior and attitude of Menards and its staff at this location was so unprofessional and abhorrent! Treating paying customers this way is unacceptable.I will never shop at Menards again!

They have lots and lots of things, but not what I was looking for today. Thats my reason for the 4 stars. Still a good place to pick up many things you may need.

I visited the Menard for the 1st time today. I had heard so many people say it was a great store, so I was excited. They had a big sign about a drawing they had going on and of course I wanted to sign up, I asked a staff where to sign up for the drawing, she said she did not know what I was talking about, the 2nd staff said, I dont know abd kept walking, finally when I check out I mentioned the sign and tge drawing, the cashier had no idea what I was referring to, but called for assistance and finally some one knew about the Big sign they displayed at the entrance. My disappointment is with the staff that didnt know nor did they care to assist. How can we advocate to increase wages when the customer service is below acceptable for any wage. Went looking for 4 things. Couldnt find and any of them because they were out of stock. Its a popular store so I get it but its that way every time I go there. Love Menards but pretty disappointed with them lately.

Came to visit my fiancé in Independence, MO for holidays. Our date tonight consisted of roaming the aisles in Menards on Blue Parkway seeking SWEET RED tags!! This man truly knows where I love to go to!!

This is the only place you need to shop for any non food products. This store is massive, way bigger than even a super Walmart. They have some great deals and there is just endless cool stuff to look at. Huge lumber yard with upper level as pictured. My new favorite store.

Check out process is too complicated, especially for lumber, they make you purchase before you even seen what youre getting.They dont allow product reviews which allows them to sell off brand garbage with the purchaser knowing any better until the product fails.

The young lady who Checked me out was a very gracious lady. The customer ahead of me was elderly and the cashier was very patient to help the customer with her credit card.She also bagged her items for the customer and wished her a great day. I was very impressed. She was just as helpful to me. Great asset for Menards.

Its a little overwhelming to shop as they have everything in this store. You can buy clothes, food and then everything else to build a house. The hardest part is making sure you get the best deals. Gotta watch thier ad, shelf tags, and clearance spots.

They had scented brooms. I have been searching all over for a cinnamon scented broom to hang over my front door. Been unable to find any. I went to Menards today to buy a new flooring nailer, and could smell the cinnamon as soon as I walked in. Pregnancy nose? Maybe...all I know, is I was a happy girl. They had cinnamon orange, pine, and cinnamon scented brooms!! And LOTS of them! So happy right now...my home smells divine right now.

Very sad that Menards is once again bearing their fascist fangs attempting to refuse entrance for someone who has a medical exemption from wearing a mask. I politely informed the young lady of my exemption and that she was welcome to call her manager but I was still going to enter the store and do my shopping and if the manager wanted to talk to me he could come and find me..... he never did.

Had a wonderful time it was amazing stuff. Enjoyed looking at the 🚆 toy train items and food and snacks including any appliances, tools and etc. Prices was great and the staff was ready to help. Thank you

The employee Robert was awesome Im pretty sure he saved me about an hour looking around trying to find things.Im adding an addition to my house so we started in Lumber moved over to tools also found me a door for cheaper than I was expecting to pay.Found me the correct nails and screw sizes.I usually shop at Home Depot because its closer but the prices on wood I had to go to Menards definitely going back.

My sister and I came here yesterday, and the store is so huge we kept getting lost. Tried to find something and had to ask 4 employees, none of which walked us to what we were looking for. One even told us she had no clue and we should ask someone else. It would be nice if the employee would walk us to what were trying to find instead of just pointing and making us even more lost. Complete nightmare.

Very disappointed with my experience. My wife and I are currently remodeling our home which is located 45 minutes from the Independence Missouri location. My family was exposed to mold in 2013, where we lived in home unknowingly for 12 months with extremely high levels of black mold. We have shopped at this location 1-2 times a week over the last 3 months with no issues. But our trip to this location on 02/28/2021 would be a very different experience.Knowing our local country laws because of our health conditions, and owning a local business as well, we are all too familiar with the rules concerning COVID-19 in Jackson County.Walking into the store with no face mask and being greeted very kindly by the person at the front door with zero concerns. First I would like to thank the amazing staff in the flooring department for assisting us with our selections. With us knowing zero about flooring and with their assistants, we left feeling confident and for certain that we made the right purchases. This whole time, wearing no mask or face coverings. Then we proceeded to the garden department to find two large garbage cans, again we are remodeling and the mess is overwhelming. We asked a male associate to point us to the direction of the garage cans? His immediate response was “You need a mask to be in the store, or you need to leave”. After pointing us to the garage cans he proceeded to run to cash register and demanded the manager to address his concerns and to refuse service to us. While this is going on behind the scenes my wife and I make it to the front of the store, where the Manager Shannon proceeded to tell the lovely cashier to refuse service to us. I let her know of my wife and I health concerns. She then proceeded to grab our cart and asked us to purchase a face mask or leave. Looking at our cart with now over 3 and half hours of time put into our purchase. My wife requests that we leave and go somewhere else. I ask the manager politely, “can you please provide me with a mask so I can complete my transaction”. Shannon’s reply to me was “You can buy one or leave”. As I walk across the store to the customer service section to purchase a mask, the manager Shannon runs over to make sure that the customer service representatives put their masks on because I was coming. But what she failed to see is that I was there. She instructed the staff to not let me back into the store unless I purchase a mask. My response to her was “this is wrong, my wife and I have been in this store for nearly 4 hours with zero concerns” “This is a horrible way to treat customers, especially ones with health concerns”. All of this while my wife is crying by the front door. We know now how any person who has discriminated against truly feels or has experienced. We had a front row seat on how not to treat our customers in our business.I will not be shopping and this Menards or any Menards in the future. I will not spread false information or speak poorly of this store to any of my friends or family from this moment forward. But I have taken the time to share my experience because I have contacted Menards corporate office and have left many unreturned phone calls for the General Manager with zero response.COVID-19 is a very uncertain time for a lot of us, but this is no way to treat people. This is was an embarrassing experience for me and my wife.

I have spent the last year and a half remodeling my home. To be honest, out of all home improvement stores, Menards is the best all around. Customer service, product selection and rebates have always been head and shoulders better than the rest. Just try to do some homework and know what youre seeking. Menards will have it or can get it ordered for you
