I am not so good at writing bad things about a place. In short, I had a tough time here with the customer service, the management and they over charged me after all the problems yet they did reimburse me after I brought it to their attention. They also stated they did my alignment and they did not. I had to go to another place two weeks later. I tried to get in touch with 4 Wheel Drive to discuss and they never returned my emails about this not getting done. I would suggest going to another place.
4 days earlier I was in for the 1st time ever and made an appointment. Today I show up and the guy looked at me like he had seen a ghost, searched the computer, and he even asked me who I worked with me 4 days ago...it was HIM!That same guy COMPLETELY forgot about me, made excuses why I couldnt be seen at my scheduled time, and even blamed it on the rain. I dont have all day, and I am not getting pushed back 2 or 3 Saturdays from now. I politely asked for my deposit even though I was and still am pretty hot under the collar.Did they earn my future business? What do you think?
We all have to retire some time and the previous owner did just that. This is no longer Chux Trux but the gentlemen here at 4WP are super nice and helpful. They were nice enough to look up my receipt for the auto start we had done and are honoring the warranty! Thanks so much Rich!

They installed a hitch on my vehicle last fall.Started having alerts on my car for immediate service.Took into my dealership and they found loose wiring and broken parts.Dealership fixed and replaced parts. No charge.Took pictures in to Chux shop as a courtesy. They showed no signs of accountability, just semi-sweet smiles and the words go away !!!! in their eyes.Thanks guys! Nice doing business with you.
Im only giving 1 star for the fact that I just purchased the truck this week and had them install wheels, tires, and leveling kit. Work looks great and customer service was great. But, when returned I now have a very large dent in my bumper and its crooked. I know I didnt hit anything and cant prove they did. The manager looked into it stating they did not cause the damage. I only drove it for two days prior to home and work before leaving it with them for 3.5 days, cant imagine it happened at those locations without me noticing. What a bummer!
Very Professional, Took forever to get my flares put on my truck but it was out of their control. Was hoping for a discount on my next project but I think I was ignored.

Just because of the way I was talked to on the phone. I will not be doing business with this place.... When you can give me one good reason, what a paint code has to do with the fitting of a top.... Nothing!!! Dont worry my money will be spent elsewhere... Let me add all I wanted was a simple price on a top. So maybe it could be down here and my mom that is coming from out of town can get it put on while she is down here. But again I think I will shop somewhere else...

Purchased some step bars for my new truck a few months ago. They had the “lifetime warranty “. Paint started falling off in chunks and then rust after only 3 months. They told me it was covered and they would replace them. Many weeks later they keep stalling and won’t back the warranty. I was patient assuming the warranty was good. It’s not. Never again.
I am blown away by the striping job that was done on my F-150! These guys are amazing. This is my second truck they did, but this one is incredible!! Thanks!
Great customer service
Did not align my truck correctly. I called and was told to go ahead and rotate my tires to troubleshoot it myself. The representative told me that they surely had it correct. I ended up taking it somewhere else and the toe was out on both sides. Did not stand by their work, ended up having to get it done again. I should have known when I walked in for an appointment and the man at the counter was arguing with a customer who came back with an issue.
Now 4wheel parts!Go there from time to time. Nice place.
I found that for only a few dollars more than what I could have purchased the item. I got it installed quickly. The sales people at the registers where very nice and helpful. It is definitely worth the small charger. Ask them about the warranty it is great.
Greeted shortly after we came in the door. The staff was helpful and friendly. The prices seemed reasonable for the items we bought and plan to buy. The sales man even helped load up what we bought. Definitely plan to return for all our truck parts.

I posted a review of my last visit to Chux True, which stated Salesman was dishonest. While I do stand behind that experience I want update and share todays experience.I received a call from the store manager regarding my review. He listened while explained what happened and showed genuine empathy for me and my poor experience. Moreover, he was apologetic and proactive in making this telephone conversation experience positive.I want to formally retract the one star rating. My son has to wear a DOC band to correct plagiocephaly and come to find out the fellas Over a Chux Trux will wrap his doc band in vinyl pro bono. When we arrived we were greeted by a smile and they helped us decide on a design and we set up a return appointment to have the helmet wrapped. When I returned they were able to get right on it and had the helmet done while I waited! I appreciate these guys and the kindness shown towards us! Quick and courteous, good wheels and tires, fair price.
Several tire and speed shops turned down my request to mount Michelin ZP tires on my corvettes painted rims. I was finally directed to Chux Trucks and was told that they have the best tire mounting equipment in the KC area. Richard was able to sell me the exact tire that I wanted at a decent price. Richard scheduled the work and the job was completed in the time frame promised. After the tire mounting, my flawless painted rims were still perfect.
This was my first time having a company do custom work on a vehicle. They were fabulous! I had 2 decals that they put on. They asked questions and made sure that they understood exactly what i wanted. Took less time than quoted and the end results are amazing! These guys are all super friendly and polite. Id recommend them to anyone!

I had them install some LED lighting with a switch in the bed of my truck and they did a wonderful job. I was able to speak with the installer before he started working so I could explain to him exactly what I wanted and where. It turned out exactly as I wanted and for a very very fair price. Very satisfied with the service I received.
They have a decent selection. There is a coffee station if you are in the mood. A setting area os available while you wait or if you are with someone. Seems like the have cable or satellite if you feel like watching tv while they work on your vehicle.

Id give them six stars if I could. These guys are the best. From the initial phone call to the minute I walked out of the store these guys went above and beyond. By far some of the best customer service Ive ever experienced. They quoted me 2 hours for window tinting, only took 1 hour. It cost significantly less than everywhere else in town including deals on Groupon (this could be because it was a hatch back not a full size car). Either way they took the time to answer every question I had and made sure I felt confident in their work. I honestly cant imagine going anywhere else now. Great job guys, I will definitely be back in the future.

I had a Vinyl wrap done on my mustang here. I was real happy with attention and thought that was put into the design. Kevin and the wrap tech did a great job from start to finish on it. I couldnt be more impressed by the way it turned out.

It seems sales first, service, a close second.2016 Ford F-150, retractable running boards, installed then intermittent working condition. On Saturdays they dont have 12/24 volt technition?So, 500 miles later with running boards in a down position later, Missouri/Arkansas they wont retract.The store manager personally called me while I was out of town to make an appointment with me to check out the issue.Thanks for showing interest and concern for my issue and Im glad independence has a place for quality car/truck needs.
I know this review is a few years past due but the staff was courteous and very knowledgeable. They basically had everything I needed. If they didnt they could order it overnight if need be. High recommend to all SUV, Truck and any other offroad project customers! Wish they offered military discount!

I took my Tundra to them after I emailed back and forth with Them. I had a quote and decided to take the truck in. Everyone there was very polite and helpful. However when I returned home I was surprised the truck looks good but there was some damage to the plastic on the bumper on both sides and the price we agreed to was not what I was charged. They charged me 100.00 more than the quote I received with no explanation as to why. That’s before taxes. I would have given them five stars if they had stuck to the agreed spin price and I can even forgive the small damage. Must say truck looks good though!Update: chux reached out and replaced my bumper and refunded the 100.00. They also repaired my paint that got chipped at no cost to me since I was already bringing the truck back in. They went above and beyond to make sure I was happy will recommend them to anyone.

Had what I wanted when I needed it. Now that I know what no service sale is like.Only took 6 months to replace the cover I bought. The cable failed then get told they would order a part 6 MONTHS later they got me a new cover. Rotten SERVICE. Talked with 2 store managers 3 sales people then called the manufacturer and got a new cover.I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE...

Never have a good experience with them. I had nothing but great experience with the original north location, but the Independence location has been a pain.Truck needed an alignment, it is a big truck, they asked what it was, what tire size and all and said, Oh yeah, we can do that, we do trucks I thought, great since no other place could fit it on their rack... I pay a deposit, take the truck in next morning and they said, Oh, that is way too big to fit on our machine. I had to take it to Midway Ford to the machine they align big rigs on. Midway Ford did a great job.I then asked to have them install some balancing beads, I provide the beads. They refused to install them. I guess they have no idea that you do not use regular wheel weights to try to balance big 37 plus tires. So they refused to just dismount one side of the tire and throw in the beads. I guess this is past their skill of services.I also took the truck there to get tinted, it was a joke as well; however, they finally got it tinted.I miss the original north store with the old manager. I bought tons of stuff from them, always worked out great deals, always honest, fast, and kept his word. I no longer will go to Chux at all, and I always let my friends know you can get everything cheaper elsewhere and better service elsewhere.Also, there are lots of horror stories about them installing lifts. They messed up my tie rod ends doing my Silverado. I installed this lift on my Super Duty to make sure it was done right this time.

I ordered stainless step bars and a retractable bed cover for my 2015 Silverado. I wanted to have a secure bed to take the truck on vacation. Unfortunately, the Pace Edwards cover failed the day before my vacation (Saturday no less). These guys went out of their way and picked up a replacement cover from another store and worked with me to get it done same day due to circumstances. My hat is off to these guys. If you want real people that understand real needs, these are your guys!
Scheduled an appointment over the phone. Drove 45 minutes for my appointment only for them to tell me I wasnt in the system. They explained it was impossible for me to have spoken to them on the phone and that I must be mistaken. I showed them my call history showing I spoke to them for ten minutes the previous day. An apology would have been nice, but nothing. They lost a customer today. Ill give my business to Stompers Off Road.

Terribly unprofessional. I called Monday to order new rims for my truck. The salesman over the phone said he had placed the order and quoted me the full amount due when I picked them up. The store called back Wednesday and asked if I had sent my down payment for the rims and that they would not be ordered until I sent the down payment. A down payment was NEVER mentioned during the first phone conversation and I would have been happy to provide it had they informed me the amount they needed. I attend college out of town and needed the rims and new tires mounted on my truck before returning to school, but due to the incompetency of whoever answered the phone I was unable to get the rims delivered in time. I happily made out a new check to Black Jack in Lees Summit after their helpful and honest advice about wheels.
They have installed nerf bars on 2 of my trucks and they were quick and very professional I will be going back when I needs something else done to my truck

I had a bed rug installed in my truck by these guys about seven years ago or so and the bed of my truck had not rusted even with my old tonnae cover being off for about three years. I had a new tonnoe cover installed last week and it was just as it was years ago, quality service, employees,assessories, and economical prices! 👍
