I have used Josh for years for my garage repair needs. I most recently used him for two door replacements and an opener. His invoices are detailed, and his product selection process is nice. I really appreciate his thoughts around where we could save costs, and his opinions on particular product durability and quality. Now, I’m going to be honest, not everything went perfect with this ordering and installation process. However.... how Josh handled it was very professional. When the supplier sent the wrong door, he worked quickly to find a solution seemingly at his cost. So, I’m happy with the cost, the quality, and ultimately the problem solving when things didn’t go exactly as intended. He has even been available via text for tech support when I needed help. I’d use him again.

I had a new smart opener installed by Conner from JV June 17, 2020. These guys have the 3 Ps down-Professional, Prompt, and Polite. Conner took a look at our system and gave me a straight forward assessment with options. The whole job was completed in one day! Over the past 6 years, Josh at JV Garage Door has come to my rescue on three separate occasions. He is always responsive and gets the job done quickly and with 100% integrity.On one occasion, I called him and he told me that, in order to save me money, he would just walk me through the fix over the phone. The cable popped on the garage door on a Saturday night. I took a chance and sent a text message to the business number that same night. Josh replied quickly and said he would see me Monday morning! Im juggling a lot because my Mom is sick and Im in from CA to help. I found JV on Yelp 3 years ago and I was happy to call him again. He is tech savvy and let me use my debit card to pay electronically by emailing a digital invoice that I could pay from my phone. Excellent service. Smooth transaction.

Josh did a great job. He removed an old garage door opener and reinstalled a new one within an hour and a half. He did it by himself too which was impressive. The weather that day was snowy and cold as hell. He still made it to my house to complete the work. I price shopped a few companies and JV garage door was the best bang for the buck.

We hired these guys to hang some Christmas lights. Thought everything was going great until after dark we noticed at least one strand not lighting up. These were brand new out of the box and their employee Franklin checked them before hanging. We contacted the company the next day and they told us they wouldn’t guarantee the lights and would charge us a service fee of $65! We are so disappointed in the service after what seemed to be a job well done. Maybe their garage door business is reputable but their handyman services certainly are not!UPDATE: After my reviews, I received a call from the owner of the business who agreed that the customer service provided was not up to their standards. Franklin came back out and fixed the lights.

We called for assistance with an automatic garage door opener not opening consistently. It was the day after Christmas, but within an hour Alex came, did a servicing, advised us of the general quality and condition of our opener and door, and gave us a warranty of 1 year on parts and 60 days on labor. He encouraged us to call right away if problem persists and they will service again at no charge. The service call was very reasonably priced. Very pleased and will use this service again.

Alex Tiemeyer was my installer, did way beyond what I thought and endure the heat to install my new doors. Im thankful I found this company and Alex just a few weeks ago doing one of my neighbors home. Im very happy and will make sure everyone I know who to call for garage doors and or repair.

I called around 9am on a weekday with a broken spring on my 8ft tall garage door. I had a service tech at my house that afternoon and he replaced both springs on my garage door for less than the corporate competition. Very satisfied and would highly recommend! If my other garage door has a problem in the future i will be giving them another call!

Attempted on Saturday to contact for service. Received a text message vs a phone call. I replied stating I had a frayed cable. Was informed someone could come Monday. I said ok but that no one would be available until after 430. I got a reply of okay. Every week day? I said I would be available Thursday and Friday all day but never received a reply. Four hours later I texted again and said I found someone else who fit our schedule. Again no reply. Would have much rather had a phone call as text messages are impersonal and unprofessional and the lack of reply even before notifying I found someone else left me feeling unimportant.

I called JV Garage and the phone was personally answered by Josh; not some answering service or a VM. This was a nice plus. Ive called multiple big-box places and left VM, and no has YET to call me back. Josh stated they could replace my broken torsion spring and the springs were on their service truck, and indicated they could arrive at my house in about 2 hours. 90 minutes later, the repairman called and was on his way and arrived vert shortly there after. While on the phone with Josh, I informed him my springs were brown coded, and he denoted they had the springs on the truck. The repairman only had ONE brown, and ended up replacing both springs with a red & green spring. I wanted both springs replaced as they were about 9-10 years old. My expectation and agreement with Josh was I would get brown coded springs, and received a green/red; colors DO matter as the colors denote the weight capacity of the springs. Josh did state the steel is #2, and the springs were rated for approximately 13000 operations.As the service was promote, polite, and efficient, I am concerned if I have the correct springs for my double insulated door. After multiple conversations with Josh, and google searches on torson spring colors, Im still not sure. The job is done, the price was better than the big-box guys, they came out the same day I called, and I personally like doing business with a personal owner.Again ... good service, polite, neat, efficient, timely; time will tell if I have the correct springs.
