We eat at Fresh about once a month or so and it’s always good service, food, drinks and everything. Tonight, Guy was our server for the first time and our food was running a little bit behind. He came out to the table and was upfront and honest about one of our plates getting a little over done. Moments later an appetizer appeared in front of us to try to make up for the food taking an extra few minutes. The Appetizer that they brought out for us was delicious. Guy handled the situation perfectly and on top of that after having our meals they brought dessert out for us as an extra “sorry” which was completely unnecessary, but well enjoyed. Guy was an excellent server, Fresh is always on top of it even if they make a mistake they more than cover for it. Being in the restaurant business myself, I know how much this means, as a restaurant owner, as well as a customer.
We had a really rough night at the restaurant.....server actually walked out. This was after getting nobody to even come to our table for 15 minutes after sitting down. SO, I called the owners cell number that he boldly put on the menu and he offered to make everything right, and even more surprising was that he answered the phone immediately, listened to our issues and offered a full refund. Wow. So, what WAS a 1 star review just changed to 4 star. Thanks for living up to your promise of accessibility and doing what is right for your customers.
First time here after visiting the beach area. To our surprise,the food was REALLY delicious and made fresh. We got the Pork Ribeye and the Chefs special (Chicken & Shrimp Cajun with Cream Pasta). When we entered,my first impression was wow,there are many elderly senior people eating here and that to me is always a good indicator that the food is/must be good,because we all know that our grandmoms are the pickiest eaters ;)
Great restaurant around the A1A. Quite busy for a Thursday night dinner, wasn’t able to get a table outside so we sat next to the bar. If you check in from your Yelp app, you can get a free appetizer with the purchase of two dinner entree. Started with Angel hair potato fries as our appetizer, then for entree we got risotto bowl with chicken and red curry coconut bowl with seared tuna. Appetizer and both entree was tasty however didn’t liked the seared tuna that much. Will definitely order different meat for the bowls.Overall, great restaurant for dinner and would definitely come back again.
We decided to eat on the patio because it was a nice evening. It took almost 20 minutes before a server came to our table. While we were waiting I could see a female cook out back smoking and yelling at someone on her cell phone. (Very unprofessional) Finally someone came to our table and got our drink order. 10 minutes later they returned with our drinks. I notice a woman inside yelling at someone. (later found out it was the manager). We ordered food and after about 40 minutes it arrived. Apparently a lot was going on there that had nothing to do with the customers. Our food was terribly disappointing. I had a Poke Bowl with seared tuna and my Husband had grilled chicken dinner. First the tuna was obviously frozen and was not real tuna. In addition it didnt taste very good. The veggies in the bowl were a little dated. My husbands chicken was 2 very small, very burnt pieces of chicken that had absolutely no flavor. We didnt want to cause any more problems so we paid and left. We stopped at Goombays down the street and ate dinner. Not a very good visit, probably wont go back.
We were visiting the area and decided to give this place a try since the menu online looked good. We got a table outside on the covered patio which was very nice. The service was friendly and very good. Our food was excellent as well. They have live music which was a fun surprise too. We enjoyed it so much that we actually went back a few nights later. The second time was on a Friday night, so it was really busy. But we were able to get seats at the outdoor bar and once again enjoyed our meal. If youre in the area, definitely give Fresh Scratch a try.
Happy hour 50% of selected drinks. The menu is healthy and delicious. Kudos to the chef and menu selection.
My husband and I stopped by last month and thoroughly enjoyed the lunch bowls we ordered. He had the Italian bowl while I had the garden bowl with fried buffalo cauliflower. The cauliflower was surprisingly the star of the dish, as it had the perfect amount of spice and crispiness! They have a great selection of beer and our server Courtney took pretty good care of us. Well definitely stop by again in the future.

Weeknight dinner, first trip. Great looking menu. Stop there. No indoor air conditioning (July in Florida!), staff and guests sweating and glistening. Hostesses are clueless when seating diners, overwhelming some waiters that already had too many tables and guests (senior waiter had to pull them aside in front of everyone then apologize to guests). Our young waiter was cute but totally clueless and clearly never trained. We saw him three times: ordering, bringing drinks, final check. Never removed used dishes, ignored empty water and wine glasses. Never mentioned specials, etc. Other staff brought our food and cleared the table. Main course arrived minutes after our appetizers, barely touched. Our entrees were extremely salty and we had to beg another staffer for more water. Couldnt get out of there fast enough.
Excellent service, many options, poor execution. We had the Brie Bake and that was a strong start. Then we got the Risotto Bowl which looked and tasted unappealing. We also ordered the Wild Mushroom Ravioli and added scallops, which would have been amazing if it weren’t so incredibly salty. Finally we finished with the Sweet Sampler. The Key Lime was overwhelmingly tart, the Chocolate Custard was nice and light but lacked flavor, and the Banana Foster Cheesecake was actually delicious. There were also several menu items that were unavailable. Definitely disappointed but it has so much potential!
The first time here, we ordered the Godfather and the chicken parmigiana, they were so good that we were dreaming about it for the next week and had to come back! Sorry there’s no photos.. we were too excited when the food came!

EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL and NEVER AGAIN !! Had to call back because the server hung up in my ear. Didn’t receive wait time but was told to wait around after already waiting my 25 minutes I was told . I don’t even feel like wasting my time writing a full recap of what happened due to them taking enough of my energy . If you want to stay clear of rude, unprofessional, service I advise you keep driving !!!!! Highly disappointed due to the fact that it was my first experience and it was HORRIBLE !!

After a funeral all family went here for celebration of life on there outside covered patio. It was 5 star service, waiter was awesome. Food delicious and plentiful. They have a remarkable staff. Everything was PERFECT
Went for a Late Dinner last Saturday evening at 8 PM, 2 Couples My Friend and I are 59 and 60 years Old and the Ladies in there early 50s. The Restaurant was not very Busy. It started out that the AC was not working inside and decided to sit outside. Took our waiter a while to take our Drink orders and bring them to the Table. Soon after we ordered some more drinks to which 1 out of 3 Arrived. The other drinks never arrived, later asked the waiter for some extra Condiments and again they never arrived. I noticed the waiter keep going of to a Table with two 20ish Girls seated on the Side of our table. So after waiting and waiting I leaned over and asked him if I could pay the Check for our party and Noticed his eyes were all Glassy and he looked Confused. Finally here comes the waiter with the Black Credit Card Book low and behold he had forgotten to put the Check inside. Again he is at the table with the 2 Girls and I get his attention and Jokingly open up the Black Credit Card Book and showed him he has forgotten to put the Check inside and asked him if our Meal was Free. The Waiter turns to our Table and says something derogatory to me and I had to Stand up and put him in his Place. Food was OK, service was the worst I have ever had. Management needs to Train workers and make sure they are not High while they are working. I will Never Spend my money at this Restaurant again. There are many good restaurants in the AreaMark Ebner
Love this place.... great food, great service, great crowd,....and being there on a Wednesday when Denise Turner played is always a bonus.
We have enjoyed every visit to this restaurant. We ride down from Edgewater, and its definitely worth the trip. I usually get the 7 oz Salmon, but the scallops are also great. The service is always good. The outdoor dining area is where we have enjoyed sitting. On more than one trip they had entertainment outside.
Really good food, great menu, and Becky is a terrific server. This was our first visit and we really enjoyed it. We had the baked Brie for our appetizer. Then I had the Seafood Bake and my wife had a phenomenal salad for the main course followed by cappuccinos.Awesome service from Becky!
We sat on the patio and had a wonderful sea breeze while we ate and listened to live music. Food was delicious. Had nicely seared scallops with a tasty sauce.

I picked up carryout for my family. After having to go back into the restaurant twice because my order was incorrect and some of the food was missing, I also noticed that I was overcharged for one of the meals. I spoke to the manager who said she would credit my account for the difference of the overpayment. After two additional phone calls to the manager and an email over the past two weeks, I have not heard back and my account was not credited. The food was good, but the lack of response and customer service has been very disappointing.
Easily my favorite restaurant on the island. My only complaint is I cant eat here every day! Love the varied menu, tons of options done your way. Lunch prices are reasonable and portions are very generous. Superb service. We treat ourselves to Fresh Scratch Bistro with a leisurely almost decadent meal that doesnt break the bank.

I picked up a few bowls from here tonight for supper, and got a side of the soup of the day.There was a tiny problem with the order, which they informed me of before I noticed, and went above and beyond to remedy it. This alone gets them 5 stars. Outstanding service.The mushroom risotto was great. The soup was a corn chowder, which was also great. We had a garden bowl and some shrimp as well. All tasted fresh. The pickup transaction was smooth.Of all the restaurants I have tried in the area, this one had everything down the best.Outstanding. I will be back.

Was here before and it was like a 3.5 star, but today I’m being nice with 2 stars. Hot inside with all vents steadily dripping. More gnats than people. Food cold. Seafood bake was just horrendous. Yea not sure why I’m giving 2 stars.
Absolutely amazing food! The cooks specially prepared an item gluten free for my husband and it was to die for! Decent wait staff, and incredible food. I look forward to having many more meals here with my family since gluten free (and safe) food is hard to come by, especially this good!

Food was delicious! We had scallops and baked brie for appetizers.....scrumptious! Then seafood bake and mushroom ravioli for entrees were also luck your plate tasty! We shared a blondie, which i loved. My husband liked dessert but he is not a huge walnut fan. All food is fun Scratch and excellent!
Food was excellent and just as the name suggests-Fresh. The seared ahi app was beautifully presented. Slimbini was fantastic.
After our meal we were enjoying our wine and sangria when the manager came to our table and relayed “I let you stay long enough” and needed us to leave because she had a reservation and needed our table. I’m not a review kind of person but this one earned it. 👍

First time in since the refresh and we were happy with our experience. The smoked mahi dip appetizer was quite tasty and appropriately sized for two people with enough crustinis for the mound of dip on the plate. The wine selection was sufficient to accompany our meal.For our entree we had the Carribean bowl with pork rib-eye and the Red curry coconut bowl with shrimp. Both were well presented and had very good flavor. I think the shrimp portion could use a second skewer for the size shrimp; though, I was pretty full afterward, so maybe it was more the $4 for 5 medium sized shrimp is what Im actually finding off.We sat inside due to the heat/humidity, but the outside seating looks like itll be a great spot when the cooler weather arrives. The live music that was playing was also pleasant.We also found the service to be fast and attentive.
We were seated on patio, but never acknowledged while we watched 6 servers/bartenders congregate at the end of the bar for well over 10 minutes. 6 is my limit, but hubby asked me to be patient while he went to wash his hands. He returned and realized we were still not even approached for drinks. He didnt even sit back down, we walked out and were thanked for coming... Unbelievable! If the owner were present, he would have flipped!
The fresh Poke was the best! Generous portions. My husband had the Seafood platter said it was amazing. Our wait staff was superb! Will return!

My family and I are obsessed with this place. Pre-pandemic we loved going in on nights when they had live music and wed sit outside. While they do allow indoor/outdoor seating, we now only order to go, as a personal preference for not eating indoors anywhere. The food is still delicious! While weve all tried a bunch of different, amazing foods, our absolute favorites are: Joses Tacos (tofu especially), the Godfather, Bruschetta, Spaghetti with Marinara and Meatballs, Plantains, and the kids Grilled Chicken with Angel Hair Fries and Veggies. My kids also always ask for a side of rice with the sauce they put on the rice served with the tacos. Its crazy good!
The portions were very good for the amount of food you got! I was surprised! Everything was fresh and delicious. I loved how they gave you options for protien and were flexible! Service was a little slow, and the music outside was way too loud! I couldnt have a conversation with the person next to me. For a laid back spot, they need to keep the music at a more appropriate level.
Gourmet burger was not worth 18 dollars. It was served with a bag of lays potato chips.

The manager Janet was very nice very accommodating and very smart in the restaurant business. What I got was their Curry and I truly could not eat it. My son got the pork burger and he didnt like it it really tasted old. The Poke bowls were tasty but very small. Long Doggers makes a great poke Bowl. But I will go back and try again just because the manager was so accommodating
My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner here out on the patio. The staff was very accommodating (and our party was about 20 people). The food was delicious! Not to pricey, and good sized portion for meals.
Truly cannot say enough good things about this place!! After my graduation party was cancelled by Masa Taqueria just 8 days before my reservation, I was literally calling every place on Google with a patio. By a total stroke of luck Fresh Scratch Bistro had availability for my party, and I am so grateful that things didn’t work out at the original location. All I can say is WOW! Outstanding service and ambiance, coupled with great food and impressive portion sizes. This place does not MISS!Kim was incredibly compassionate towards our situation and was happy to accommodate me in any way possible – she allowed us to bring our corn hole boards, cupcakes, small décor, balloons etc. She even offered to have us drop everything off in the morning so that the set up could be left to the staff and we could enjoy a stress free party. Later in the afternoon, Kim contacted me letting me know that one of my larger balloons was losing air. She went the extra mile, offering to go to the store to get a balloon pump, or to just try to find a matching balloon to replace the deflated one for me. This left such a great impression on my family and I.Our server was Guy and he matched Kim’s energy in every way – they made a great team! He was attentive, prompt, polite and personable. He stated multiple times that he “was solely here to serve us” and that if there is anything he can do/adjust to accommodate us to just let him know. We were a group of around 30 and we were all moving around/mingling but he did a great job at remembering people’s names, keeping the tab’s organized and keeping our delicious cocktails coming (Shannon makes a great Moscow Mule!) He also went the extra mile and gave us a free “Happy Graduation” dessert, which was so thoughtful. Excellent service.The patio was beautiful, clean, and covered; there were rain shields (should it have rained), fans, market lighting and live music. All of my guests had a great time and we were all raving about the amazing food. The food was genuinely SO spectacular, that we actually returned the next day for lunch! It has been far too long since I’ve experienced customer service like this. I seriously cannot recommend Fresh Scratch Bistro enough!
Love this place! I have to eat gluten free and they take it very seriously. I have had several of their bowls and salmon and it is always done to perfection. We just ordered delivery and it showed up hot and just as good as if we ate at the restaurant. Thank you! So many restaurants dont do delivery well.

Just had seared scallops in creamy jalapeno sauce with risotto. I have to say, may have been the best scallops I have ever eaten and the risotto was delicious! Everything, including the house salad, was super fresh. Definitely going back.
Just walking in the place, you feel comfortable. The Staff is very friendly and knows the ins and out of the menu. All of the food is first rate and scratch made. They have a varied menu with a distinct focus on seafood. Try the Grilled Octopus Arrabbiata over Linguine it is absolutely delicious. You wont find food that is any fresher than at this bistro.
Absolutely amazing! We went during happy hour, $5 drinks. Salmon and beef tips were great, and the Sweet Sampler had banana foster cheesecake, key lime pie, and chocolate custard AMAZING! DEF RECOMMENDED @

I would rate the restaurant 0 stars if I could. During a time of COVID-19, if you offer curb side pick up at least have a designated area for curbside. When I arrived my meal was not ready let alone a thought in the kitchen. They brought out the wrong meal then proceeded to go inside and cook our order, which was incorrect when we opened it at home. dry salmon, a dry burger a a sponge cheese cake. Will not recommend this place again.

There was some issue in the beginning with seating and being initially served. Once that was worked out everything was fine. I had the Slim-bini bowl without meat. It was spaghetti with zucchini noodles. Good option for those that are gluten free. It needed meat though. My husband had the Risotto bowl with shrimp. It was good, very cheesy. Overall good experience. We prefer the sister restaurant, Branos, though.
This is by far our favorite local places to eat. The atmosphere is great, food is incredible and the staff is wonderful. Thank you for everything you all do!
Definitely fresh and I saw the staff double check with the kitchen before the food came out to make sure it was correct as a customer had allergies. Didnt order from the bar but the bartender was knowledgeable and great area. What a great restaurant with a really nice variety of freah foods.

Was great, the singer was AMAZING!!!My husband broke out in hives before we left. Could you please tell me the ingredients in the spicy cauliflower? Im not saying that was it, just trying to rule out possibilities. We will be back..

Bland flavors $53 for 2 at lunch. Dessert advertised godiva chocolate sauce, delivered 2 drops, then brought a plastic cup of hersheys grade chocolate sauce when asked. Zero taste zero flavor, except sweet tea was good. Salmon smelled fishy with add-ons put on side. They quickly processed the check before the bogus dessert arrived.

Their bowls - the Asian, Garden, Italian, and several others - are all great, healthy meals.Live music in the outdoor area Wednesday thru Sunday. Denise Turner currently sings on 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month, and is an amazing vocal talent who also plays guitar, and sometimes harmonica. Check this place out. You wont be disappointed!
Love this place, one our favorites. Fresh is in the name for reason. Everything is fresh. You can taste each ingredient. Excellent service everytime. Excellent selection of interesting drafts, appetizers are creative and delicious.

I go online and try to make a reservation, they say no wait. We get there 15 min later and a 35 min wait. Checked website again and still says no wait. Disappointing!
Worst service Ive ever had in my life. Took over an hour to get water. Some people in my group never got their food because they ran out of the food. No apologies, meal took over two hours (food came out in the last 20 minutes). Billed for the food that was never served.
