Couldnt decide between 3 and 4. Place was clean, not very busy, and had a good choice of balls. My family and I enjoyed our time there. The reason for the low score was because of the service. Both employees were putting out a vibe of being grumpy and it inconvenient for us to be there. Maybe it was an off day for them. I am still undecided if we will return.

Good place, we used our Groupon for Friday. They announced they will not accept them on Saturday moving forward. Also, they closed at 12am and 12:30a on Saturday.

Plenty of lanes drinks and friendly people. Decently Priced as well.

First place to always bowl. Only lanes in Indy that are still original wood lanes. Foods ok; but service and cleanliness was excellent.

Lanes are not consistent. Hate the middle lanes about 20 - 35. Very very dry

Its an older bowling alley I think you definitely need some upgrades

I had a great time. Had 3 adults and 7 kids. Used a Groupon discount. Had food and drinks. Fast service at food counter. It was clean and sanitizer is placed all over. I was impressed with it since I had not been bowling in so long.

It’s an older bowling alley but worth the price. I came out with my family and enjoyed every minute of it. The snack bar has decent prices. There was lots of people but we didn’t have to wait for a lane. Customer service was very friendly and helpful.

Staffing seem to need more training on customer service and the pricing was ridiculous. The food court is absolutely slow and lady was the rudest of the bunch. Pricing is ridiculously high. Will definitely go somewhere else next time.

Went bowling for the first time here and even tho there was a long wait everyone was so friendly there and even the manager hooked us up with some free bowling

This bowling alley has wood lanes. It is a challenging bowling experience yet quite delightful. I love bowling.

Absolutely love this place!

Decent place. Understaffed and they couldnt operate all lanes so even though it wasnt packed we still had to wait. However, even after our time was up and they were closing, they allowed us to finish our game. Overall, a positive experience and a decent place to go bowling.

It was fun. Def outdated but we still had a blast playing and the staff was super friendly!

If it wasnt for a Groupon I dont think I could afford it that black man that was the cashier was the absolute worst to be the same races man gave me such a hard time with having a family event with my daughter and child father there Ill never go back next time well go bowling and fountain square or somewhere else Royal pin bowl try that next time

Wish I could give zero stars. If your here from Groupon RUN....The front desk people were SO RUDE and the lanes mess up every other bowl. So disgusting and the workers act like they have better things to do than help you. -10/10

Crowded but we had fun, but that old dude at the register need to retire. Attitude with the people spending their money so he can have a paycheck.

Old school lanes. Decent fried foods. Surprisingly they had top shelf alcohol such as Grey Goose Vodka. Had a great time and really reasonable process. Will definitely be back.

Rude !!!! They discriminate!!! I paid 100 for me and my family to have a good time and instead we were made feel like trash! Then we didnt get to play the games we paid for because there games kept cutting off on us in the middle of every game!

Lanes are awesome and the staff is always helpful. We come for our family reunion kick off every year.

Ive been bowling here since I was 7. Im now 26. I have been a league bowler continuously for 5-6 years now and I dont plan on going anywhere else. You want a real authentic bowling experience? You need to come visit Hindel. Real wood lanes for the perfect and natural bowling experience.

Bowling was really fun but I went out of my comfort zone and ordered food here... it was amazing. Best grilled cheese in town. You know how your mom makes grilled cheeses? With the butter on the outside AND inside? Yeah. Thats what they do here. Emaculate. Crispy but not too crispy. Melty cheese. Fresh. Perfection.

Was out with my fiance having a GREAT time. He originally bought ten games, which were awesome! Then he went to buy 6 more. The manager for the shift (Tracy) said how many games have you played now, like 40? He was very rude. You think youd be happy people are spending their money there... Then I was drinking a beer at the score station on my lane, and He freaked out! Was raising his voice saying you cant drink down there. I had no idea there are no signs saying that. All the other staff was friendly and kind, answered all my questions politely. But people like Mr Tracy ruin the evening... sadly I will not return to this bowling alley, UNTIL there is better service. Hope the main managers can fix this problem I would love to come back again.

I love this place and the wood floors. They just need to upgrade their computer systems. 1995 was a long time ago, plus they only take cash. Other than that great people and great times.

The guy at the desk definitely seemed overwhelmed. Took a while to get shoes and even longer to switch shoes for different size. They wont let you use the little ramp assist unless you are truly handicapped. We had to switch lanes half way through just to get bumpers. Something to consider if you have little ones

Been bowling here since I was 8 and I love this house but the man they have in the snack bar is slow and rude. Now matter what you order it is always come back in 10min. He wont even give you your drinks when you order. When you come back in the 10 minutes the food is still not done or it is cold. On multiple occasions the man at the snack bar is socializing and not doing his job.

I bowl in the Indy Catholic league here, and I have never had a bad experience. The staff genuinely want you to enjoy your time here. Highly recommend Hindel Lanes to anyone looking to bowl.

I dont really like or care for this bowling alley.Compared to Pin Chasers, by TPA in Tampa, FL this bowling alley is too quiet, dark and dirty.I suggest going to EXPO BOWLING on South Emerson, instead.

Clean bowling alley, front counter staff was friendly but the kitchen staff was not friendly.

This place is very clean very family-oriented they take care of you behind the counter if you have any problems or issues they have a lane attendant to help you through if you have kids they have bumper rails that will keep your kids excited because they will keep the ball from falling in the gutter its a good place to entertain a group to have fun or if youre really into bowling you can be a lead molar nice down-to-earth spot and the Pro Shop is a nice place to get balls shoes bags whatever you need

Attendants were very helpful and accommodating. Great Groupon value. Average stars because first lane didnt work and second lane didnt work. Had to be moved to three different lanes. Entry has pungent smoke smell.

U went for a birthday party, it was fun but one of the lanes kept messing up.so we had to switch

Ive been going there for years off and on. Good place for family and friends to go. They have bowling leagues also. We just had a family night there with my nephew before he went back to Paris.

Could use major update especially considering what it costs to bowl. The arcade games could use a bit more variety. The man that was helping us was very impatient and rude to the point my sister was ready to leave.

My very first time being at this bowling alley tonight and I must say I’ve had the most fun I’ve ever had the staff was very friendly from front desk to the bar and snack bar,drink prices are reasonable snack bar prices are a bit expensive but well worth every penny the guy working tonight was very friendly and asked me if I wanted to make my wings I ordered into a meal and I tried it they were good I will most definitely be back with my family next weekend they’re from New Jersey I’m sure they will love this place thanks ❤️😉🎳

No-frills bowling alley, featuring real wood lanes and old-school scoring system. As dated as the place is, it is a particularly pleasant spot to go bowling, especially for an avid bowler such as myself.

Passed by this location earlier today,I really miss bowling Friday nights after league I moved further away from hindle 🙁 Fun place snacks are really good oh don’t forget about the beer, miss corn is a excellent bar tender paid 6 bucks for a draft beer and she usually gives me refills for few extra bucks awesome lady . Prices for bowling are also really good check this place out
