We loved the size and selection at this store when we moved here in April. We buy all our groceries and household necessities here once a week. But the checkout lines are ridiculous. We have tried going different days and times and it doesnt matter, the lines are always back into the isles with a 20-30 minute wait. Its a waste of my time and it concerns me that my perishable groceries are out of the fridge/freezer for that long. This store seriously needs to do something about the checkout lines or my husband and I wont be able to shop here anymore.
Kroger needs a upper management change real bad, the staff workers in the store are always working and trying I do the best they can, but upper management need to take a business class, you may get less Shrinkage if had more cashiers after three people lineup in a line you need to add a cashier until your rush is over. Whats the point of having so many unopened checks out stands? If you don’t use them. Believe me the struggle is real and if I see aline that goes passed chip aisle and there is only one cashier, and the self checkout is the same, I guess you don’t need my money or my business I stopped shopping at this store, it’s to tempting not to just walk out of there with my full cart of groceries wanting to pay but no one there to take my money so I go to Meyers and fresh time they seems want my business
I’m not sure why this Kroger has great reviews. I’ve had so many bad experiences with this Kroger. I used to get my medicine here but there were times they couldn’t fill my meds for two days because they were behind. Went there for a pizza from the bakery at 5 pm on a Friday and was told they were closing early. Which is fine I guess but they normally close at 7 pm and they didn’t even apologize at the inconvenience. Also EVERY time I go there the lines are SO long. I have waited in line for an hour before. But 20-30 seems to be the norm. The self checkout lines are long too!! Twice I had to leave my cart at the door because I needed to be somewhere and the checkout lines were taking forever. Kroger is my favorite place to shop. They have great sales and gas points. This store is conveniently located for me but now I go to the Kroger on Southport. That store is great! Everything from the bakery to the pharmacy.
They never schedule enough help in the evenings the lines are to the back of the store.. never see any management helping ring customers up...even tho were ensuring their salary! Customer service manager is rude! Upper management needs to look into this store!
Kroger meat & seafood department at it again!! Don and Loren made sure I got a fantastic bag of seasoned tilapia and I can just throw it right in the oven! I never make it easy for these guys and they always take it in stride!! I LOVE going to this Kroger because of them!! 😍😍
The customer service has gone extremely downhill. Checking out, either for groceries or the pharmacy, takes 20 to 30 minutes, consistently. This is unacceptable, but I guess Kroger thinks this is fine.
They can never seem to have fresca or diet squirt in stock. 400 cases of mt dew or cherry coke though. No carts inside when I arrived. No sanitizer to clean carts. Not enough cash lanes open. Every lane had a minimum of 4 people in it all crammed together, no social distancing. Youd think the pandemic was over. Kroger must not give a damn about the safety of their staff or customers.
There are ridiculously long lines every time. No other grocery store I go to is like this. I have started going to Meier, but stopped in to get something ‘real quick’
The grocery collection is very good and I really like the grocery I like shopping by food and I really love the food they have they have very good food and they have very good service and I really like their service because it is very good.
First off I have no idea how this place is always packed . The prices are TERRIBLE. It’s for rich people when everything is $10 cheaper elsewhere. I don’t step foot into a Kroger but my experience here was horrible. The lines were outrageous. Self checkout line is a mile long, no cashiers, everyone got their carts filled to the top like they feeding a family off cheaper by the dozen, when I’m just trying to check out a few items. It’s funny with lots of other big stores the lines are never this long and all lanes have cashiers. I miss the old small Kroger where I can come get my stuff and leave.
Only come here if you like waiting on unnecessarily long lines!!!I guess its part of their effort to force everyone into the self-checkout lines... Hire some cashiers! Bring back personal service!
Do not use this pharmacy, you will be disappointed....
Every time Ive come the lines are down the aisles. The registers are not open and theres not enough cashiers. It will keep me from returning to this grocery store again. Not everyone has a half an hour to stand in line.
Great place to shop very friendly staff and always very clean. Use to work there and will suggest to get your groceries here theirs beats Wal-Marts food selection any day. Meats are way better only thing i wosh they would change is start selling t-bone steaks everyday like the use to that be great. I love this place they are an awesome crew and everything as always is garanteed fresh.
There pharmacy needs more help, The wait is crazy to get your meds!!
They wouldnt call a cvs to get a Prescription that I am in dire need of. So I called the kroger on the South side and they said theyd get it ready by one oclock. southside kroger you the real MVP.
Curbside gives away old food especially old fruit. Gave me both rotted Apples and Limes. Never again
Very well stocked. I always find what I am looking for. They can be very busy and crowded.
I moved years ago & hands down no other Kroger ([©`,ompares²this 1!💯 You dont know what youre missing till its gone. Sure, has its hm♓ang-ups... But it has pretty much what u want when you neex it!! Man, do I miss their fresh & oeganic veggies! Have yet 2 C a store on.my side if town have them or a section m⁴that makes atter! Just try 2get N & Get Out 🖖😂🤣
It is an okay place to go.Pro: Decent selection, decent prices, and great products when they are in stock. The majority of the staff is extremely friendly.Cons: Produce is always empty. Literally all the time. The picture is a common sight. In fact most sale items they tend to be out of. They close at midnight. I guess it doesnt matter because the girl that ran the Uscan, about the last week before they started closing, was super rude. I showed her a picture of a product on sale and she refused to honor the sale price. (Picture included from June 27th). The pharmacy also tends to consistently run out of my medications and it would be a two to three day wait. This is still a good place to shop and I still shop there, but only for a few select items. My prescriptions are at a CVS now and I do the bulk of my shopping at Meijer now.
Near home, has more than just food . it has shoes, clothing, cleaning and paper supplies, small appliances dishes, lawn and garden items. Toys. Health and beauty. Along with a drug store and little health mid check. I think I would rate it very high
This store has great employees and the shelves are almost always stocked, but the lines Ive had to wait in over the last month or so make me want to have to shop elsewhere. 2 registers open is unacceptable. I waited 45 minutes one day! Something really needs to change!
Im not very happy with them! I shop here every week and spend a lot of money in this store. I have a family of 8 so you can imagine how much a month I spend here. Today i wanted to get my wife a belated birthday cupcake because I couldnt afford to do much for her on her birthday. All I wanted was a cupcake from behind the counter but no one was there. I asked the 2 ladies at the deli right next to the cakes and they told me i had to another 30 min for the person to get back. I said you cant just grab me a cupcake real quick? They said no! Really!!! All you had to do was walk a few feet away and grab a cupcake and hand it to me. I will not be coming back here. The 900$ I spend a month will no longer be at Kroger.
Called in a prescription. Was supposed to be ready after 1 pm. I show up well past 1 and after waiting in line 15 minutes I am told they are not ready and to give them 30 minutes. I decide to just return next day, Again, I wait in line 15 minutes and again I am told I need to wait 30 minutes for them to fill the prescriptions. I left. Poor management.
Need to get rid of people just sitting outside of the store😫 asking for change...and offer them a job!
Only one isle open to scan people out, its insane
OK so I shop at this kroger every week. Every single week. And lately Ive been feeling the urge to tell people about the experiences Ive been having here. Firstly I shop kroger Click list sometimes because it is a huge timesaver for my family. Yesterday I placed my order and then many hours later I get a phone call asking me to move my order to the next day or have it cancelled. No big deal I move it to the next morning. The next morning I go to pick it up and they tell me that a couple of items are not available and that here is the rest of my order. Thats OK I take the rest of the order. However the items that were not available are almost never out of stock. So I go park go into the store and I go straight to where the items that I needed work and the shelf is fully stocked. The shelf was fully stocked they clearly did not even look for the item. Secondly I went shopping with my mother a couple of weeks ago and she was helping me pick out some things to make a meal. We were in the meat section and she went up to an older gentleman who works in your meat department. Ask this gentleman a question about the meat and he proceeds to tell her that it is none of her business. Clearly she is taken aback because wow what a response. So she kind of shakes her head and she says excuse me. And he proceeds to repeat himself that it is none of her business so she comes over to me and tells me what happened I am absolutely livid and I want to go straight to the customer service desk which is what I should have done. But my mother was too embarrassed and did not want to make a big deal out of it so I wasnt going to make a big deal out of it. But I can still let people know in the management that looks at these reviews know what employees that work under them are doing at their store.
The pharmacy is terrible and takes very long every time I am here.
They have everything from food to specialty foods to clothes
I’ve been sitting in the prescription line outside for 30-40mins. Please what is going on?
Sherry was SO helpful in the self checkout lines. Friendly with every person that comes through. I will travel further and come to this location more frequently in hopes to see her. A++ in hospitality for Sherry! 👏
There were far too many customers without masks! The signs on the door say customers must wear masks, the Indy-Marion County law on masks is clear, but that did not stop a multitude of unmasked people wandering around breathing on the fresh produce. I am a life-long Kroger shopper. Certainly, I will never step into the Beech Grove Store again. The others must be better managed, as I have not encountered this problem in other Indy Kroger’s!
Nice to see some toilet paper on the shelf, but I guess basic courtesy was more than checkout lane 11 at 7:55pm tonight could handle. No “hello” as I unpacked my cart. No “thank you,” at end of the transaction. But he was able to mumble out the total price of my items. I may have a mask on, but I can still hear just fine. Unfortunately, this rudeness seems to be a trend at this location. Too bad. I used to love this Kroger, and recommend to friends, but not anymore. A global pandemic is no reason to throw simple manners out the window! I’m pretty sure Walmart employees can, at least, handle a common greeting to their guests ...time to throw my hard earned money their way, instead.
Big,, clean, nice friendly staff. Always busy,,but nit to crowded..A lot of different choices...
Do you want to get Coronavirus? If so, go here. The mask discipline is BAD. 3/4 of the customers in there on a weekend are not wearing a mask properly (mostly masks not covering their noses). The store is well run, and the cashiers are friendly.
I want to commend all of the staff at this location for all of the hard work they have done over the last few weeks! These are trying times and I am so grateful to have this location as a resource. They are working so hard to ensure shelves are as stocked as possible so we can feed our families and I have been able to get most of the things I’ve needed when I’ve went in. Much love to you guys!
Cuz it has a long line bad
I placed an order yesterday for a birthday cake with a picture on it. We didnt have the picture with us so we were told by the associate at the bakery counter to bring in the picture by 11am the next day for them to print an edible one to put on the cake.(not to mention, this associate was rude, didnt seem to want to be bothered by us and didnt even want to take our order and had a very rude tone with us) Fast forward to this morning and we call the bakery to let them know that we are on the way with the picture. The woman who answered the phone was extremely rude, would not let me explain what was going on and even when she allowed me to speak, she was still super rude and stated that the cakes were already made and that there was no note on the order about a picture or even a name or number for the cake. We ended up going to the store and speaking with the manager, Aaron, who was super polite and helpful to us. When we went over to the bakery counter with Aaron the bakery associates were asking him what he was looking for in a rude manner and they refused to acknowledge anyone who was in the bakery/deli area, it was like the customers didnt exist, not to mention that we were following social distancing guidelines to the letter and we were extremely nice, not overbearing, and quick with any questions or orders we might have. (And this is everytime we come to this location, which is 4 or 5 times a week) Aaron kindly asked us to wait or shop around for 15 minutes while he fixed the cake and when we came back, the cake was on the counter on the edge where anyone could have taken it or moved it, or dropped it. (The associates rudely told us that it was there and then stared at us very angry like we were the problem) We took the cake paid for our items and left quickly, the other employees just seemed angry and we didnt want to deal with anymore anger, rudeness, or drama. Im really starting to consider not ever shopping at any Kroger store ever again as this is the third time we have been dealt with rudely for no reason at all.
Pretty nice store, but horribly long wait to check out.
Cashiers have repeatedly bagged my items with plastic after I say have my own reusable bag. Then they take the items out of the plastic bags and throw the plastic bags in the trash. I offered to recycle them. They decline. The cheese shop is my favorite. The ladies back there are outstanding. Overall one of my favorite stores but cant tolerate the waste.
I absolutely love this location!! The store is always clean and stocked with food. All The employees that I have spoken to are always courteous and helpful. I can always find everything that I need. They also have great Items for your home and I also purchased two cute dresses from there as well.☺
Always have a consistent and solid experience here. The place is well organized and everything is in logical places. The hot and ready food is always really good too. I would like to see an extra regular checkout lane during busy times. Either that or prevent people with 200 items from going to self checkout. I’ve had too many quick stops where I have 1 or 2 things but wait for 5-10 minutes because everyone at self checkout bought the store out. This isn’t really Kroger’s fault, but I wanted to vent. Fantastic place and highly recommend.
This place is always trashed and more often than not, all of their carts are in the parking lot. Poor management.
Went into Kroger because I wanted to get Starbucks coffeeGot in at 7:20pmWasted 10 minutes of my life & my lunch break waiting for someone to show up at the Starbucks area
Hire some freaking baggers! I feel like Im back at Cub foods bagging my own groceries every week.
Gordon from online pickup made a bad experience into a great one. We had issues with our pick up on Monday after waiting awhile they asked if we could come back the next day(no problem cause they were slammed) next day my husband came back and order was lost so he left. Frustrated, I called customer care which directed me to our local Kroger with Gordon. He more than accommodated by delivering our order with a gift card and he explained what happened to the order which helped me understand what happened and why it got lost. He seemed to be the only one there in pick up and seemed very busy while trying to help me out so I really appreciate.
30 minutes waiting to checkout? You need more cashiers!!!! Poor management!!!!
Awesome store with everything you need.
We really enjoy shopping at this Kroger. The store is bright, clean and well organized. They have a fantastic selection of natural and/or healthier options and seem to be adding more all the time. They have all of the standard departments but they just seem a little extra all the way around. This is one of few stores around that carry Boars Head meats and cheeses which are THE BEST! The Murrays cheese shop is awesome and the lady that is usually there really knows her stuff! If she gives you a suggestion, take it! You cant go wrong with her advice. The pizza in the prepared foods department is really good! Everyone in all of the departments is so nice and helpful. And with clothes, shoes, dishes, pots and pans, and everything else extra in this store it is mostly one stop shopping.
Kroger has come a long way, they now offer healthier selections, fresh bakery, fresh produce, a Starbucks and a pan-Asian cafe. Their deli Dept is still one of the best! The Marketplace has clothes and shoes.
Very organized and clean perfect!!
Worst place to shop. They constantly move products to different locations in the store so you waste your time searching for them. Seriously 2 separate locations for cheese, its cheese Kroger put it with the other cheese. Plus the shelves are almost always half empty, like the egg case was half empty and the dairy case was almost half empty. Tired of having to make 2 or 3 trips to the store just to get a weeks worth of groceries. Good bye Kroger, Im now a Meijer shopper.
Click List at this location typically takes fooooreeeever. Be prepared to wait a good 20-30 minutes before your order is out.
Since they moved across the street the have a TON of stuff now. Its almost too big, but they do a good job making you feel welcome still. Doesnt exactly feel like the grocery store that I grew up with but Im not that mad about it.
When they built the building they put two entrance doors in. Dont know why... Apparently it is too much for them... They wait until a bunch of customers park on that end of the building and enter to lock those doors. So now their customers get to walk in the heat or the dark to find their vehicles... Why bother having that door at all???And now with COVID 19 everyine is being corraled in the same door instead of spreading out.
Large, modern store with good and ample parking. Huge selection of products and produce. Offers many ORGANIC options. Fantastic bakery and Deli. Also a large cheese kiosk with many delicious and hard to find options. Want a freshly cooked, custom made deli pizza? Just visit the Deli. Its piping hot and ready to go.
Very clean and safe store. Theres always parking available when Ive went and Ive never waited in line at checkout. Im not sure if its the time of day Im going or what but I always leave satisfied.Keep an eye as youre walking in if its winter time because I was looking for a windshield wiper and a shovel and couldnt find any. I noticed them as I was walking out and had to swing back in to pay for a few more things after leaving.
The employees are so friendly and helpful. My favorite Kroger! Specials almost always in stock. Store is clean and organized. Great deli selections and fresh!
Whoa...this place is big as all get out. It has everything. For as busy as they were...I was able to get in and get out. It was great 1 stop shopping. I even got my brand of dog food there so it cut out an errand. The staff was super friendly and courteous.
Great for someone recovering from surgery. They are very nice and helpful. It is odd having someone shop for me. Good thing.....I did not buy a bunch of extra junk food I did not need or have on my list.
This is one of our main shopping locations. It has everything we need, and its well taken care of. Always clean and tidy. Things are never out of place or just tossed around. The staff is always helpful and friendly.
Very friendly atmosphere, employees greet you with a hi and a smile. Had to go the the customer service desk and it was a wonderful experience. My second time in there and clean and very inviting.
Very large grocery store. Great deli. They serve hot meals and have a dining area. Sushi bar. Floral. Clothing. Extensive beer/liquor selection. Extensive wine selection with on duty wine steward. Great meat/seafood dept. Large bakery. Helpful friendly staff. Competitive pricing. Highly recommend.
Witnessed the store manager publicly berate and degrade another employee in front of corporate visitors. Most unprofessional thing Ive ever witnessed. Absolutely a disgusting display and terrible managing. Especially considering the times we live in. Store manager should be demoted to cashier.
Terrible checkout service. On a Weekend morning there are Long lines at checkout and 5 closed self checkout terminals. Why are not all the self checkout terminals open very early on the weekends when most people shop?
We loved it ...first time there. We just moved here. Few things Id wished they had and didnt. Other than that Kroger MarketPlace on Thompson was Very clean and We Loved It!
Love the Kroger Marketplace on Thompson Rd. We live in GA and dont have a Marketplace close to us, so when we visit home, we love going in and looking around. Clearly it made an impression on my son, as he said to me, Why cant we have a fancy Kroger? But it isnt just the extra stuff that makes this Kroger better than the rest. Its some of the people. The lady at the seafood counter is the BEST! Beverly is so friendly and helpful. We love her and look forward to her being there whenever we shop her department.
Suprisingly, a great place for lunch. Door at east end of storefront takes you right in to a delightful food court. We bought chicken dinners w/2 sides & a roll, 2 large pizza slices, & 99-cent refillable soft drinks for $17. There are fresh-made Asian choices, a self-serve salad bar, plus a Starbucks adjoins the comfy, clean dining area. Fast friendly service, delicious food & great prices!
Pizza is GREAT. But but why sell whole pies if you dont have the proper box for it. By the time I got home my pizza was cold and flimsy
Very nice store, clean & well organized. The associates are very helpful. I was putting my groceries in my car & one of the young men collecting carts came over & helped me. Very considerate!!Will shop this Kroger more often.
Great selections, and awesome service. They had something on sale sand leery me order a large quantity so I didnt clean off their shelf. Love this place, get the app too, lots of great coupons you doing have to print.
Like the Kroger, have been faithfully grocery shopping here since moving here 7.5 years ago. Nice staff. Left off one star because i have difficulty getting the weekly freebie and the 2 and 3 day specials. Always sold out
Beautiful store. Well laid out and bright. Prices were as good as Kroger gets. Which in my mind are great.
I was there opening day AND again the second day! It was amazing. I am a retired city employee and grandmother of twelve. I find all the products fresh and satisfactory mostly, and all employees sweet and helpful. What more can I want? Great sales, managers specials? You got it!Only negative comment...water added to meat....yuck! But all the stores are doing that. Wish you wouldnt.
Marco in the pharmacy had mad people yelling at him and he handled it with politeness and very professional. The window was closed again (3rd time Ive come and it was closed). There is never enough help at this pharmacy. I miss Mindy as the Pharmacist. It ran smoothly then. The last 5-6 months this pharmacy has went to hell. Im not the only one seeing this. Ive used Kroger pharmacy for 30 years and this is the worst Ive seen it ran. Im talking about the one on Thompson Road and Emerson.Im signed up for automatic refill and that is never done anymore. Please fix this problem. I dont want to have to change.
I love this place!!! My daughters and I come here often.. They grab their kiddie carts and I my own, then we breeze through the isles collecting the goodies Mom sent us for!!!! While we are there we have to stop by and get are Starbucks hot chocolate (even though its summer ) its a kid thing! We also like to make our favorite pit stop at the cheese section because we are cheese freaks..... My middle child who almost four has picked the house favorite.... “no woman cheese I know the name throws you off but believe me its great!!!! During our shopping we like to make it over towards the kid department and say hi to Miss Bonnie she is great! I give only “4 🌟 not because they dont deserve “5, but rather every place can use some sort of improvement!!!! KEEP IT UP KROGER
First time ever posting a review like this. I felt compelled to post this because the staff here are amazing and so personable. Especially the pharmacy. Iv been to other Krogers and other pharmacies in general and I come out of my way to get my prescriptions filled here because they are that great!
Kroger is awesome. You are treated with respect. Seem like they have everything you can think of. My cousin was bragging about this place.
This store has so much to offer, its easy to get distracted by the choices. There are two different areas for clearance items, clothing, food items, bakery, deli, flowers, and even household items such as cookware and accessories. The aisles are clearly marked, which is helpful, since the store has been rearranged not too long ago. This store is very clean, has the largest amount of riding carts that Ive seen at any store in this area, and the employees are friendly, helpful, and courteous. The checkout lines are efficient and reasonably quick, even when there are a lot of customers. They will open up new lanes if the crowd of customers gets too much, so youre not stuck with long wait times to check out. The parking lot can fill up a bit, and it can be challenging to get a handicapped spot, but it cant really be helped. This is one of the best grocery stores that I have patronized.
Great, except that for the past three weeks I have not been able to buy Jacobs Cream Crackers. They are British crackers that I normally find in the world food asle. Please reorder as Im missing them. Thank you.
I just love this store! The customer service is amazing; they are always willing to help and make it right if they are out of stock. The meat department is great as well.
Was excited that the T Bone steaks were on sale last week and sent my wife to pick up some and when she came back most of the filet side of the T Bone was trimmed away. Very disappointed to say the leastIts the best part of a T Bone Steak. Just think that is a bit shady business practice Kroger. When you put something on sale, put the whole product on sale.
Love the people that work here. Great store just opened last November. Kudos to my new friend Honda in Produce, Crystal at customer service desk and the rest of the staff. Sincerely one happy Kroger customer and your neighbor.
The butchers are so nice and helpful. I really like the new business model. I have always been a Kroger shopper, the larger selection has saved time from going to other places for speciality items. The app has saved us money too.
I want!!!! I used to shop at the linwood store, because they were the only ones that carried Marie Calendar BLACKBERRY PIES!!!!Now they say they are no longer going to order those!! So.... I am searching other stores HOPING THEY MIGHT HAVE THEM!! NOPE!!! so if I could get your store to carry them I will be a loyal customer. I average spending 100.00 a week. PLEASE!!!!!!
They need some MAJOR help with stocking. I realize it is the day after the Super Bowl, but the shelves should have been stocked last night and instead were kind of bear.
The staff are super nice, James and Ronnie from ClickList especially. I love friendly and fresh time! You can talk the ears off every team member just tell them its friendly and fresh time! 😁
What a nice grocery store. Nothing in my area to compare with this. A sad commentary on Indys near east side. May have to relocate to this area just to shop here.
Lots of interesting items. Always have a good deal with their 10 for $10 sale. Friendly staff.
Love the new superstore. Im still learning my way around the store but I like the new choices and the quality of items available. Thank you for taking pride in our southeast side of the city.
This Kroger is awful! The produce department is poorly laid out and too small. Poor customer service. Click list is mediocre!
I absolutely will not be using Kroger Pharmacy again.
Alot of food needs restocked. Never seen Krogers shelves so empty of food. But it was a very nice day for grocery shopping. Not crowded at all today!
The best kroger in Indy. Their produce always looks fresh and organized. Their staff is friendly. I love the cheese counter especially.
Im new to the neighborhood. It was pretty busy on this Sunday evening & considering we just recently moved nearby I still have some getting used to of the store. But pretty nice Kroger!!
Love the store but the Deli staff is horrible. There have been many times when Im the only one standing outside the case waiting to be helped when there are multiple employees doing whatever (prepping?) and not one of them even looks up to acknowledge me. For this reason, I drive out of my way to go to the store that is farther down south on Emerson.
