As the Mother of the Bride I had, until I found out about this wonderful shop, the most demoralizing time trying to find a dress because of my big chest. Dress shops I thought had become a thing of the past even when you are spending that kind of money until I stepped into Affinity Bridal. The owner knew exactly what to fit first and then alter if needed. I was well taken care of and my dress was beautiful, altered in a timely matter and professionally done. After my experience Id say start there first. You wont be disappointed. Thank you Affinity Bridal for all you did. Its been a long time since I completely knocked my husbands socks off.

On my way there today I was curious to see how this would play out mostly because I’ve never worn a camouflage dress in my life much less a camouflage bridesmaids dress. Needless to say after getting fitted for the dress and seeing the dress I’ll wait with great anticipation the day I will be able to wear it. Miss. Wendy was good at her job her little store has been there for 30 years it seems. She made my experience a joy there instead of a chore. If you value your time as I do mine then you can appreciate that I was in and out of there this afternoon in 23 minutes. Cute accessories a huge selection of wedding dresses if that’s your thing. Small town feel with city looks. She has a really pretty Princess tiara selection but I think those are for the brides, besides I already have a tiara, mine comes with blue flames and 13 shades of auto darkening...💋🐈‍⬛👩🏻‍🏭😎💕🇺🇸

I had my experience in October 2017 - February 2018.I remember we had come here for my moms wedding dress, and the workers overheard me describing the type of dress I wanted for prom, and all of a sudden they pulled this teal/rainbow gown out and I was instantly in love. It had taken me a few months to pay off my prom dress, but the workers were so patient and helpful, the process was so easy. I would definitely come back if I was ever in search of a gown again.

Wendy and her ladies did a fantastic job and made my day the best it could ever be. Definitely recommend they are polite and friendly and very helpful. Came two weeks before my wedding and they knew just how to help me.

Bad customer service. One lady with red hair treated me very poorly. I wanted a dress for homecoming and I wanted it to be long due to being insecure about my legs. I explained to the lady why I wanted it to be a long dress. She asked if I was on the homecoming court, and I said no. She gave me a very rude look, and asked “Are you sure you want a long dress you will stick out like a sore thumb.” I politely and Patiently responded... “Yes a lot of my friends have long dresses.” Another issue was my mother asked if they had any dresses under $300, she laughed and rudely said no. Although the bad experience with one lady, there was a very polite kind lady. Her hair was brown. She was already stressed with other appointments but was very patient and extremely helpful.

Jourdan was my consultant and she was so nice and understanding. I had already found a dress well below my price point that I loved at another store and that didnt change her attitude towards the appointment at all! She still took the time to help me in each dress and genuinely seemed to want to help me make the decision that was best for me. Everyone else in the store was also very nice and it was an overall very welcoming atmosphere.I will say if your budget is below $1000 you will be very limited on dresses to try on. But I knew that going in so I was prepared to only try on a few dresses. It is an actual boutique so the prices (and quality!) reflect that. So if that is what youre looking for this place is awesome and I highly recommend! If my budget hadnt been so strict I would have probably found my dress here!

I got my wedding dress here, and the experience was wonderful! Huge selection of dresses in all styles and price ranges, Wendy was very knowledgeable and friendly, and the consultants were as well. I highly recommend!

I stopped in to see about getting the tuxedos for my wedding here, and the customer service was very good! They helped me pick out exactly what I wanted. Super helpful, would definitely come back.

The team at Affinity Bridals is willing to go above and beyond to make sure their customer is satisfied! Wendy is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to her seamstress work and is also connected with vendors across the US. She stayed late or opened early to accommodate both myself (the bride) and my entire bridal party (bridesmaids and groomsmen included). Out of my entire wedding, this dress has become the most stressful part of all, but Wendy has proven to be quite the professional Fairy Godmother and guided me through it all ❤️ Dresses can be pretty expensive, but they do have a wide array of styles and really make sure that youre only looking at dresses that are within that price range.

The selection here was amazing, being plus sized I am always nervous walking into a bridal shop and not being able to find many that will fit over my hips or chest. Not here. I was able to try on at least a dozen if not more dresses, it was great. Secondly the owner had a way of making a dress look like it fit you no matter what size it was. She had so many techniques, it was very impressive. I can tell she has been in the business a while, at the same time though she was quite pushy. I tried on several dresses and although some were obviously not the ones I sometimes I just wanted to stand there and admire myself in a long beautiful white dress that fit me like a glove but more then once she would say I can tell you dont like it so lets just take it off. I felt more like a dollar sign to them then someone they were trying to make happy. On that same note more then once I felt very pressured to pick a dress at their store vs another dress I liked at another store. They of course said they werent trying to pressure me but they made it rather obvious, but again they are trying to make money which I understand. I left with a rather sour taste in my mouth from this store which disappoints me but I think it was more of a personality clash then lack of customer service. I do complement the selection and ability to envision yourself in the dress though.

I was looking all over for bridesmaid dresses for my wedding, but couldn’t find a style which fit with my theme. We walked into Affinity Bridals and immediately knew that we could stop looking. The staff was ready to work with us. The material of the dresses was phenomenal. There were so many choices that all of my bridesmaids were able to find dresses that fit all of their different body types nicely. We are so happy that we found Affinity Bridals they made the process fun and effortless!

Prices and upcharges changing constantly, shop owner provides advice for bride without knowing the individual.Owner is pushy and does not listen to the person their assisting. She constantly mislead out bride to do new changes on dress, the dress was an extreme source of panic for our bride.This was almost the worst experience although she was a bit better than Davids bridal.

I was told they could order the dress I wanted with a corset back at the same price. I wasnt told that the company was going to charge $200 more if we ordered the dress with the corset back until I came in for my first fitting and the dress was there with a zipper back. Than the owner/clerk tells me the situation about the change in price and that she would do the alteration herself and it would be so much cheaper. I ended up having to pay $400 in alterations, because the dress was ordered in the wrong size to be changed to a corset back, it changed the way the front layed so much that they had to do more alterations to fix it. See the problem goes back to the part when the dress was originally ordered. My receipt had the description as a corset back, they knew they would have to eat the $200, then Im standing there the day before my wedding needing my dress and having to pay $400 to get it. At that point I had no choice. I should have sued them but I didnt think at that point I could as I wore the dress and I had already paid the money. Horrible experience and I was bullied by this lady. I would highly recommend avoiding this place and definitely do not trust them with your biggest day. This happened to me in 2008.

The ladys seemed nice but had a vibe that they didnt want to be there. Eve rug this ng was organized despite the construction. The dress ny fiance got for her position as a brides maid in a friends wedding was gorgeous. It was beautiful but was not fitted properly and was digging and hurting her during the actual wedding. Over all a decent experience but still needs some work.

They were so wonerful. They provided water and had fans in the fitting room and the viewing area to keep me cool while trying on several different dresses. All the ladies were so sweet. I loved my experience I had with them. I would give them 20 stars if I could.

This morning I rushed in because I needed a dress for my grandmothers funeral. Wendy and staff went above and beyond helping me find a dress on such short notice. I cannot thank them enough and highly recommend you visit them if youre in need of a dress or suit.

Paid for our tuxedos 7 months in advance and we were told we could only pick them up 3 days ahead of the wedding. The shirts didnt not fit and we didnt have time to get new shirts. The customer service was terrible. I would never recommend this to anyone. They may be cheap but you will be very unsatisfied and wish you spent more money. Dont waste your time and hard earned money on this place.

Affinity Bridal is the best kept bridal secret in the Greater Des Moines area! The owner Wendy and her staff were incredibly accommodating to dresses that didnt fit quite right. Wendy herself does the expert alterations right there in her shop. We got highly custom service and expertise at a one-stop friendly shop. Well worth the drives to Indianola from Des Moines.
