Midway Vacuum & Janitorial Supply is located in the Desert Villa Plaza at 81656 US Highway 111, Indio, CA 92201. I dropped off a Dyson Cordless Vacuum, that had a battery charging issue, for them to take a look at. In just a few days I received a call it was fixed and ready for pickup. The showroom floor is filled with all kinds of cleaning machines and vacuums so it took awhile for the nice lady to find my device. Wow, a repair bill less then $10.00! That kind of honesty deserves 5 stars!

IT WAS AN ABSOLUTE PLEASURE DEALING WITH THESE PEOPLE ANDthey did great job fixing my vacuum. BECAUSE I liked them so much Icalled them about a brass Task Floor lamp that had broken (the stand part)and guess what!? THEY can fix that too. These re KEEPER vendors foryour vacuums and smaller appliances and LAMPS!! What a relief to findpeople we trust!!

I have 2 vacuum cleaners which are difficult to find parts for. Midway not only had the parts to make the repairs, but the vacuums work like they are new again. The price to repair them both also floored me, i have never met a more generous and honest couple.I will highly recommend Midway to anyone that has a repair need. Thank you both.

This business is a nightmare! We took our vacuum in for a minor repair and were told that they didnt have the part in, but it would be in the next day. We inquired what the total price was, and they gave us a range, telling us that the top of their range would be the absolute maximum cost. We left our vacuum with them, and they told us they would give us a call the next day when it is ready... a couple days go by and no word from Midway. So we give them a call and they inform us that the parts are going to be a couple more days and again they will give us a call when it is ready... a few more days go by and still no word from Midway... this repeats for nearly a few weeks straight! We keep calling to follow up with them, and not once do they ever call us. After a while we express to them our dissatisfaction, but they are cold and could clearly care less. They do not offer an apology, any kind words, a loaner vacuum, or anything at all. All they do is continue to tell us every single time we call that it will be ready in a couple days... finally one of the days we call (after theyve had our vacuum for almost 3 weeks) they tell us- oh ya, its ready now. So finally I head to Midway to pick up our vacuum. I go in to pay, and I am told by the owner, Floyd, that the total is 1 1/2 times what we were quoted as the maximum cost. I tried to explain to Floyd that we were quoted much less than this, and the very first thing he said to me is do you want me to take that new part out of your vacuum and you can take it how it was?. I stood there in shock for a moment, then tried one more time to explain to him that the lady very specifically told us what the total cost of this repair was going to be... Floyd only gets more infuriated, and tells us that that was the price for the parts and the labor is all on top of that. So I asked him if it is company policy to quote only parts cost to customers when they drop something off for a repair and request their total price. At this point Floyd got absolutely nasty, and I realized that trying to reason with him was pointless. As much as I wanted to have him take his part out and take the vacuum elsewhere, we had no vacuum at home now for nearly 3 weeks, so I decided to just pay him his ransom for our vacuum. After doing so I did request from him his business license number and questioned whether he was part of the BBB, because I had some concerns with his deceptive and unethical business practices. Floyd went crazy, telling me that he would not provide the information and screaming at me. At this point I pulled out my cell phone and began recording - asking Floyd again to provide his business license number. You wouldnt believe the instantaneous change! I mean seriously - this guy should win a Golden Globe! The second my recording began he was a new person. He provided his business license number to me and stopped yelling and being nasty. However, he still refused to answer my question about the BBB... nevertheless, I wrote down the information he did provide, and was on my way. We have used Midway many times in the past, and have never had a problem like this. However, we absolutely will never return to this business ever again. I would recommend that everyone avoid this company if possible. However, if you are forced to use them for whatever reason, please be sure you get your quote in writing before you leave your vacuum with them! You cannot trust their word, and they clearly have no problem taking advantage of people.
