The employees were awesome, had me in and out in minutes. But the size of the trailer I rented was not the size they side, the dont include the gate in the description. So the 12 x 6 foot trailer is 12 by 57 inches between the gate, not 72 inches.

The vehicle was cleanThe drive train was sufficient for a van with a 149,000 miles on it.The front end suspension was in terrible condition. It changed lanes without me moving the wheel. I felt like I was in boat bouncing up and down.

Quick and easy experience from making the reservation to picking up and returning. Customer service is good. They also had a ton of moving supplies which was very helpful. Will definitely use this company in the future. 👍

TLDR: bad customer service. Dont ever use after hours service they will try to scam you for extra miles and fuel. And leave you stuck there. The price advertised is NOT transparent. Overall cost for smallest truck, lowest time frame, miles was $70-(plus gas) NOT $19.99. the pricing only goes up from there if you need a bigger truck, more miles, more time, or more gas. I wouldnt use again and wouldnt recommend.....We used the after hours check in. The fuel and milage did not match up, so someone was trying to rip us off. The problem with this is there was no one available to help us. We waited on hold or more than an hour to be told to call another number so we did. Then waiting on hold with that one for about 30 mins..and it was THE SAME center we were directed to. They transfered the call, we waited again only to once again be at the same center. The app was telling us we couldnt leave bc we couldnt manually change the milage and there was no way to dispute it. But customer service already had us as dispatched even though we never left the lot. I did not want the charge so we were just left there waiting being transfered around to the same call center over and over. Finally we talked to someone who told us to call in the morning and wrote in the notes we never left and that we shouldnt be charged at all. So we called in the morning and they did refund us. We still needed the truck so we booked one then but it made it so difficult to do it that way and overall it was just a horrible experience and we probably would never use uhaul again. We were stuck basically at the lot for a couple hours at least. My recommendation would be to never never use the after hours services and in general I would not recommend uhaul unless in a bind. I also dont believe their pricing is transparent it says 19.99 for the truck but then they rent in 4 hour blocks and it doesnt change the price if you need less time. The issue if find with this is its not actually 20 bucks, I think it cost us about $70 and that was the least amount of time (4hours), the smallest truck, and we only went about 30 miles- but we paid for 50 (and were never refunded the difference btw) so really the cheapest you will get is 70 and thats without the insurance. Oh and the price of gas, which to have them refill was like an extra $5. (We didnt use that much) I understand refilling the gas, but I thought thats what the milage fee was for..anyways theres a lot of extra costs and fees besides the $19.99 the advertise, just so everyone knows- we didnt before. Sorry so long, just very disappointed

Check-in was ok. Clerk not engaging just took information needed to process my rental. Check out process was much better than check in. Richard was outstanding and engaging. If I hadnt been serviced by him, I would have given 2 stars.

Highly disappointed!! I was given a 3:30 pm appointment to install a hitch. This was the only location that had the correct hitch for my car so I made the 40 minute drive. Drove all the way to the location and the employee who installs hitches do not even work past 3pm. I am not sure how I was given an appointment knowing that no one would even be available to do the installation. Since this was the only location with the part, I had to buy it and get it installed at a different location. They claimed they tried to call me at 7am the next day but when I asked what number they gave the completly wrong number. Also not sure how because I gave my number when I made the appointment.

Go somewhere else for hitch install. I made an appointment for 9 am to have a hitch installed, when we dropped off the truck we were told the tech doesnt even get in untill 11 and our appointment was for drop off only. What is the point of scheduling a drop off? If I make an appointment it is for the time I expect to be taken care of. And then told our scheduled pick up time was around 4. So my entire day is wasted and all other errands postponed. I spoke to other hitch places who told me that the install is listed as a 1.5 hr job. But uhaul needs the car all day. When I spoke to the manager/owner and explained I had other appointments that were contingent on getting my hitch done this morning all she would do was throw in a $25 ball for my troubles and their inability to communicate. Labor rates should have been credited as far as I am concerned.To add to the debacle, I drive 40 minutes away to pick up my new trailer just to find d out that the light dont work because they installed a jury-rigged harness instead of using the kit for the tow package that was already installed on my car. This harness they I stalled is draped over my engine hanging loose u deer my car as well as in the back. Can be snagged on road debris at any time.

This place is extremely friendly and extremely fast. Ive never waited more then 5 to 10 mins there. Highly recommend.

I would not recommend this place to anyone customer service is poor, I went in had a reservation stood in line for 10/15 minutes and the guy behind the counter called someone else before me, when I got ready to go the same guy brought the vehicle to the front door and while he was going to help someone else pointed at the vehicle I was renting mind you he never did a walk around with me to tell me the dos and dont of the vehicle. When I left the place and went to get my items out of storage one of the movers put the lock on the back of the truck and oh did I forget to mention the guy never gave me a key for the lock I had to wait for roadside assistance for 2 hours in the meantime my movers left it was dark and raining by this time so I had to find someone else to help me move my items into my house. I called customer service because by this time the vehicle was going to be late and I thought I should have been some kind of consideration for the lock situation. I was told the manager of that location would call me that was Monday night and no one called Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday keep in mind I called back Wednesday and still no one called. They charged me more than what they told me and the manager of that location still has not contacted me BEWARE OF THIS LOCATION. I WILL NEVER RENT FROM UHAUL AGAIN NOR WILL I RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE (MICHIGAN AND MIDDLEBELT)

Father in law made a reservation for a truck for 10am waited 35 mins in line before even receiving the equipment for pickup very ridiculous! line or not shouldnt have 1 employee working at the front desk.

Used them years ago, had a great experience will be using them again soon.
