Staff is very helpful and friendly. They will help you find the right bolts, screws, etc. even if you only need a couple and cost a total of 33 cents.Great place to go to get parts for projects etc. without having to go to big box store. Quick and easy in and out. Also sell the good name brand paints.

Checked the Ace website for an item and was told that a different Ace store (closer to my home, but not nearby) had it in stock. Drove there, but they had none.Went home, checked the Ace website, again, and was told this store had the item. Not wanting a repeat of what had happened, I called and this store, specifically asked them if they had what I needed (even providing their part number ), and was told they had two. Drove there -- none in stock and no offer to help get what I needed. No offer to check when more might come in, no offer to order one for me, no offer to check inventory at nearby stores. Nothing. Which was also my experience at the first Ace I had visited.The only helpful comment I did get was that the Ace website is always wrong about store inventory. Interestingly enough, that was virtually the same comment I got at the first Ace store.I had planned on buying two other items during my visits, but that didnt happen.

The young man who helped me find the right flashlight, replacement bulb was knowledgeable and explained that led bulbs could be used where my old bulb was. He also explained that the LED bulb would probably outlast the flashlight. Big help. I think his name is Evan. If thats wrong Im sorry . I will be back thanks to the helpful hardware man. 🙂

They dont return the Craftsman tools and honor the lifetime guarantee.However the Pellicci Ace hardware in Rosemount and the Apple Valley Ace hardware does return everything nice and easy! You just pick the closest thing possible and they make the even exchange.

Huge hardware store they will have what you need

Had a interesting experience here last week. Went to pay for my items, used an AMEX card, and was promptly hassled by the teenage checkout kid because it costs them a 3 percent commission every time someone uses a credit card. Dear small business owner, this is why you are failing. If you want to succeed, DO NOT train your staff in this manner! I had an option to go to Home Depot. None of the items I bought were unique to your store. I could have checked out - using my AMEX card - without being hassled.

This was my first visit to this store. My wife and I happened to be in this area, living about 45 minutes away, to purchase another product only available at this location. While there, we also sought out a specific paint color by Benjamin Moore. The color sample was unavailable. The kind employees offered to check out a swatch from their permanent fan deck but living so far away, this didnt make sense. Wed simply try another store location. As we purchased other items and left the store about 10 minutes later, the gentlemen who originally helped us rushed to catch us as we were leaving and offered to give us an entire fan deck of swatches from their previous collection, which included the swatch we needed. We truly appreciated this above and beyond service!

I do not recommend this business - Mask are required - no exceptions- (can not wear one medical reasons) - Customer/ Associate service ignored the problem, instead of helping find what I needed, I was escorted out of the store by (Jack) very rude employees. Talked to the GM - Mr. Niederkorn - his response was the same reaction - Could care less about customer service. Completed my selection / purchase else-ware without any issues.

I generally have very helpful people when I go in to this Ace. Today was an exception. I was just pointed to aisles even though I mentioned I had no idea what I was shopping for. The one person in particular was an older man named Jack. Seemed like he was too busy to answer my simple question. Too bad, Ace used to be my go-to place. Perhaps not anymore.

Was told I need a mask to shop there politely told the gal working I did not have one. She politely provided a mask than later charged me one dollar for it after I was done shopping and ready to check out. Seems like a scam... Will not be returning

This place is fantastic. I personally love great customer service, and that is exactly what I get every time I stop here. Gerry in particular made my last visit memorable. I came in for a small screwdriver to fix a watch I have. Instead of asking what kind of screwdriver I needed, Gerry asked what I was using it for. He hooked me up with a watch repair kit that I have used to fix a great deal of my watch collection. I appreciate him caring about the WHY of my purchase! Highly recommend this place.

Super friendly staff! Very helpful and resourceful. Its great to have an awesome little hardware store so close by and not have to run to a big box store for simple things. I love thier Meyers cleaning selection, bird feeders, canning supplies, as well as quick service for having keys made or grabbing a box of nails. Also, one of the best locations Ive come across for kids sleds in the late season.

You Never have to say the words ... there is never a clerk around, because they are always there to help you. Id give more than 5 stars if possible.

I’m sorry, not sure there is any, other than the guys with ATTITUDES, who refuse to help! What a shame! Who cares if it’s close! I’d rather travel to the moon than make the mistake of going to this place!

Tony was helpful, but I think this place is under mafia control or ownership, because he was scared to talk about the shovels.

The first time I went there I saw more employees than customers, but no one offered any help while I searching around the store. There was even one standing near me when I was looking for a matching nut to the bolt I brought in and he didnt even acknowledge me, let alone offer to help. The last item I needed was a couple feet of tubing that staff needed to cut. I walked to the back window counter where a few employees were talking to each other. They took turns glancing at me without otherwise acknowledging me before one finally came over. Then at checkout I had to point out an error as one of my items was scanned twice, but at least this worker was polite. I really wouldnt have thought anything about the experience in this store if only two people were working, but its the fact that about 6 employees in a small store were less help than a self-checkout and a pair of scissors would have been. Ive been to home depot about 100 times and never thought anything negative about their customer service.Edit: I went back to the store for a really good black friday deal and the staff member at the front counter (middle aged male, short dark hair) was very helpful and funny. Maybe I just had a unusual experiance the first time.

I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND renting from this store if you want your deposit back.. I thoroughly cleaned the steam cleaner I rented from here and when I brought it back they claimed it was disgusting and the wouldnt give me my deposit back. Worst part was the employee maybe glimpsed at the rental for 2 seconds at most when he claimed it wasnt clean.. they care more about money than having loyal customers.

I have to say Gerry or Geraldo thats works here is such an asset, along with all the staff, just incredibly helpful and more importantly kind and thoughtful on a personal level.Theyve always guided me right on what to buy at the lowest price for my needs, but on a personal level employees showed a lot of compassion after I had a back surgery, making sure I was ok and wishing me well.Never thought Id give a hardware store 5 stars not being a handy guy myself, but the staff is so welcoming, this is the only hardware store I go to anymore. A+++ staff and service!
