Our family “go to” for all our DIY projects. They even have the pet supplies and bird seed for our critters.We remodeled two homes and Menards was our main supplier. 11% rebate makes it even better.

Im not a big fan of big box stores yet Menards seems to always fill my needs with friendly service and fair prices. The in store experience is as good as their online stores. I try to stay local mom pop when I can but at times make an exception for here.

Like most Menards, pretty good selection and nice staff. Layout is like no other Menards I have ever been in. It took 30 minutes to find for things. Seriously guys...at least put some of the concrete tools with the concrete...it doesnt all have to be with the screwdrivers.

My daughter is employed through a Menards in South West MI. They issued her merchandise certificates. So this past Saturday she spoke with a supervisor at her location and asked if she could allow me to use them at the Ionia branch. Her supervisor told her it would be fine to do so because the certificates are considered same as cash. I went thru picked up the items needed. I go through check out, they rung everything up.Tell me my total then decided I couldnt use the certificates because they were not issued in my name. Despite my daughters supervisor telling her it wasnt a problem. They then went on to tell me that it might be possible to use them if my daughter gets her general manager to contact the the general manager at the Ionia branch, but they arent sure about that. So it comes down to me driving 2 hours down to pick my daughter up. Driving 2 hours back to place the order thru Ionia then driving 2 hours back to drop her off and drive another 2 hours home. Needless to say my interaction with the Ionia branch is beyond stressful and left me more than unhappy with their services. I offered to contact my daughter to work it all out on the spot and was turned away!!😠😠😠

I was very disappointed with the way I was treated when I asked an employee in the paint department for assistance. I was told if I pulled up my mask higher he would answer my question. I asked the question again giving him an opportunity to see his mistake and he just repeated the same statement. I am in retail sales myself and I would never consider treating a customer the way I was treated. I told him I was wearing a mask as the sign mandated and that any higher made it difficult to breathe. He said again that I wasn’t following the rules and until I did he would not assist me. I left and will never go back to Menards again even when the pandemic is over. The arrogance of the management at Menards that allows the employees to treat customers with disrespect will catch up with them at some point.

I would leave Menards 4 stars because they are a great store for a lot of things, but the fact that they enforced masks so religiously for so long was incredibly annoying! Also they dont carry any of the good power tool brands.

Incredibly rude employees on a major mask police power trip (Im talking about you, paint guy). You cant even lower your mask to catch your breath without someone radio calling for backup and being approached as if you committed a crime. Just awful.

Menards has about the most worthless yard people that I’ve ever dealt with. Slow unhelpful disorganized with absolutely no respect for the people in the construction industry like myself. If it wasn’t for the simple fact that any other hardware store like Home Depot or Lowe’sIs about 45 minutes to an hour away and never come back to Menards ever again

If you know what you are doing when it comes to DIY you may find this location useful and convenient. However, if you seek assistance from trained personnel with helpful customer service this Menards is short on that. My review is a complitation of three visits. All three were the same in experience. Employees sometimes intentionally try to avoid interacting with me for a question, some cake when called upon but were very rude, and others were confused and carried no knowledge on simple DIY projects and materials. I recommend trying a different location until they improve in these areas.

Spend a ridiculous amount for delivery. The window for delivery was for between 7am and 12pm. After getting no delivery, and NO PHONE CALLS, we decided to call. Not only were they rude and condescending, they explain that their truck would not start, and that the delivery was loaded by 11:45, but there are other deliveries first. So, we got left with no delivery time, and the installation of said delivery items had to be postponed. This is unacceptable. A simple call is all that was necessary. Calling to ask where our items are should never be an inconvenience, and as customers we should not be treated this way. It is apparent they DO NOT VALUE any customers, only if they get paid after they put in their minimal efforts. Definitely will never recommend their services to anyone, and hope that this is a rare occurrence because no one deserves to be treated poorly as a customer.

Had exact puppy food i needed for new tibetian mastiff puppy. No body else carried it. Im surprised a hardware store had extly what I needed. And a very nice lady in light area helped me find the bulb I needed for my new house.

Usually no one to help. If there is, not knowledgeable. Called ahead about lumber, said they had in store. Drove 35 Miles, didnt have it. Quite upsetting.

Went in looking for a 12 - 1.5 bolt, thought I found it, asked someone for help, found out it was wrong, and he helped me find the right one. Great place.

I am unbelievably angry with this store. The lack of care and customer service is amazing. Placed a special order in early February. One 16ft handrail. After weeks of waiting for any update on shipping I looked into it. Menards response is for me to call the people making the hand rail.....in Canada. They gave me a shipment date of 15 March that it is leaving and when I called again later that week they confirmed it shipped on the 15th. Both customer service reps said average is 5-7 days once it’s ships to getting to the Menards distribution hub then to the store. That next week I attempted to get more information by going In and speaking to an employee in back by the lumber yard. She called a manager, Ali, who said she would call and get me an update. I never heard from her to this date. I finally received a call on April 1st from Mike stating the special order arrived at the store broken and they were placing a reorder. Called today on April 2nd and Mike informed me it would more than likely be the same lead time as the first order, an additional almost 2 months. I informed him to just cancel and i get a “ok I’ll do that” and just a simple “sorry” like no big deal. I only chose to go to this store because I didn’t want to have to drive to Lansing or Grand Rapids for my needs. Now after this I will. It’s a junk store with terrible management and even worse customer service. There are many great employees there but everything else added in makes this store a hard pass for me. I knew better than to trust this store, even spent multiple thousands on materials and tools and it burned me bad on this project. Thankfully their store is stocked full of pizzas and other groceries, they clearly don’t care about home improvement. Go shop at the smaller hardware store near down town or make the drive anywhere else but Ionia Menards. Very disappointed.

People came up when i was looking for things, and asked if i needed help with something. Explained things to me when i asked questions. All were friendly, and very helpful.

Mask nazis! My sister is deaf & she has to read lips to communicate. I had my mask lowered to talk to her & was told to put it up or leave. When I explained why I had it lowered they said they didnt care. Put it on right or leave. Went right to check out. Had to lower it again to tell her what was going on & got in a huge argument at checkout. Was a nightmare! Wont go back until mask mandate is over! We will go to stores where we can make our own choices like the grown adults & FREE AMERICANS that we are!!!!

The store was very clean and well stocked it seemed as i was there with a friend shopping for light fixtures I realized what a true task interior decor really is and the only thing I can rightfully complain about is that there were employees everywhere some in groups chatting and not once even as I wandered lost looking for a certain paint I never did find not one of them asked if I needed help finding something or offered any assistance which to me struck me as Rude and Odd even

Menards is our familys favorite store. We ordered a number of items today for curbside pickup. The gate keeper was super nice & pickup quick. It was service with a smile.

Wouldnt let me in bc I dont feed their face mask reality.

I was discriminated because I have a medical condition. I spoke to the manager and told him that the lady at the front told me that I would be allowed to shop unless I was wearing a face mask, he told me that they had every right to refuse me service because it’s a private business. I respectfully responded that that’s not really the case, because if a private business provides a public accommodation they are discriminating against me for not letting me shop just like everyone else. He told me that he was sorry I “felt” this way, as if it was an opinion which is not! It clearly stated in the USA law that there’s laws in place to protect people like me, that have disabilities, and no business (whether private or public) can ever break these laws. It’s called the Americans Disability Act, and every business in the United States of America has to follow these laws. I refused to give my money to a business who breaks the law, I left and went to Home Depot and Walmart to do the rest of my shopping since they respect medical exemptions.

Sick of the mask ordeal. We all know they dont do any thing. Its just become a political, virtue signaling, tool.

I placed a large order online...I expected that my order would be bundled and ready for me to pick up...instead it was a two hour wait to be inline in the lumbar yard...what then is the advantage of paying ahead of time?

Man I love Menards but you couldnt pay them to help you.In general I dont seek out help, but if I need it I really need it. I was in there today looking for an odd item and I walked past three people that looked at me and put their head down. I decided I would go to the local hardware guys for it. Ill be back, but I just got ticked today.

Disgusted with their delivery service.We ordered a kitchen cabinet and were told it would be delivered between noon and 8pm on a Monday. They called that day and said, it wouldnt be delivered because it didnt fit in the truck, but they would deliver on Friday between the hours of 4:30-8:30. THEY NEVER SHOWED UP. Dont order anything from Menards.

Great directions on where I could find what I was looking for. The cashier was very nice and I adore that characteristic very much. A great selection of portable air conditioning units was available in the store.

Just saved 20% on an item I almost purchased at Walmart. 9% less for regular price and then 11% rebate..I also got another 11% rebate..so could say 31%. I like that they do not jack up prices to cover rebates. I also find the people in the Ionia store to be friendly and very willing to help, just can not be afraid to ask them. Walked me across the store to the item. I did not give 5 stars because the store organization can be very confusing and lumber quality is always hit or miss.

Completely ridiculous and unprofessional. Discriminates against those who medically cant wear a mask and refuses to allow them to make a purchase. You have completely lost my business after 15+ years and 10s of thousands of dollars in purchases.

They are always very helpful. All you have to do is ask someone and they Will either tell you where to find it or take you there. They even have groceries.

Was kind of a cluster of disarray. Tried to buy some 2x4s, was sent outside after buying. Went outside, was told they were inside. Inside said they were empty. Back outside to be told they would have to restock inside from outside and that was going to take a while. Ended up taking cheaper 2x4s instead. Had to then go and refund the difference.

The employees were rude an my daughter asked for a mask she was told they have none! Yet you have to have a mask on in their store!!

Staff though busy are helpful. I appreciate the adult decision to enforce mask use.

I have always dreaded going into this location. I was pleasantly surprised to see all employees wearing masks & masks required by everyone to enter the store. I even asked an employee where an item was located & was shown its location. (Thats a first). Employees were very helpful & friendly. Ill be back.

This should be a zero. They have lost my business entirely by the security officer posted at the doors enforcing masks, and not allowing anyone under 16 in the store. Absolutely over stepping. This was not my first or only issue, but it is icing on the cake!

I have been spending $20-$30 thousand dollars per year with this company for years only to be aggressively approached by two different employees demanding that I wear a mask and given ultimatums. NO MORE!Ill be shopping local with stores that dont warship at the alter of fake news and hysteria.

Took my time shopping looking at a lot of different planned home repairs and renovations. I like the verity of merchandise offered and the prices are not to bad on a lot of things,but after about an hr of looking I felt and noticed them watching me as if I was going to take something without paying. didnt like the environment the employees presented a little rude and offensive. The thing is I could see there actions justified if I did not have a cart full of materials for my home and didnt spend the $500 I did. Come on guys the whole world aint that bad lets try to have a little more faith there menards.
