Honestly, I dont think there is anyone better than her. Very efficient and makes clothing look fresh off the rack, with low prices as well. Will always bring my clothes to her first

I had a sequins bridesmaids dress with 3 layers that I needed hemmed. I procrastinated on getting it done and I brought it in on a Thursday and told them I needed it done by Wednesday of the next week. I was concerned that they would reject it due to the short amount of time, but Sally accepted it without blinking twice! It was done on time, the hem was perfect, and it was $45 in all. It seems other reviewers think thats a steep price, but it seemed appropriate to me considering the fantastic job done. Nice large dressing area, too. Very satisfied!

I had my wedding dress altered at Clothworks, and I couldnt recommend Sally enough. Her eye for detail was unmatched and I felt totally comfortable talking through possible alterations with her. My dress was completed in plenty of time and the pricing was reasonable. I got married in another state and many of my vendors werent based out of Iowa City, but Im so glad I had my dress tailored at Clothworks. It made my wedding preparations so much easier.

Sally did an incredible job on my wedding dress! There was very intricate lacing at the bottom and she was able to make it shorter a couple inches without anyone being able to tell at all. She also did a great job bringing in the gown around the waist & chest. The price was phenomenal too! I would highly recommend her to all brides!

Clothworks just SAVED the day. I am a Wedding Planner and a groomsmen showed up for photos with a huge rip in his pants. Sally did an outstanding job fitting my wedding dress for me! She was able to alter the dress to make me feel beautiful and confident on my wedding day. She has a great eye to figure out how to make it fit just right. She is extremely skilled at wedding gown alterations (and more!), and I would definitely recommend that anyone near Iowa City who needs clothing alterations to go see Sally at Clothworks!

Perfect alterations right here in Iowa City. The price point is a bit high for simple fixes (like a hem), but Sally is irreplaceable for trickier or more important wardrobe pieces. I appreciate that she texts with me to set up times for drop off or pick up—much easier than chasing phone calls.

Wish I could give more stars. If you want your alterations done perfectly, down to the tiniest detail, Clothworks is the right place and no one else comes close. I brought my wedding gown in and it needed a lot of work; its a sample gown so it had quite a few imperfections and needed to be totally re-sized to fit. Its also made of a pretty unforgiving material and with lace details that needed some repairs. When I tried it on for the final fitting, it was absolutely perfect - even better than I imagined it could be. It looks like a brand new dress. This seamstress has an amazing talent and shell make sure youre 100% happy with your dress/clothing before you take it home. And to top it off, her pricing is extremely fair given the high quality of her work. Incredible!

I found a vintage dress from the 50s I loved that should have been my size but fit really wrong in the arms and waist area. She did so much work to make it fit perfectly and I am in love with how it looks. Super affordable for all of the work too.

Wonderful experience with Clothworks. My wedding was this past fall and one of my bridesmaids recommended her. She helped get my dress & 3 bridesmaids dresses ready in a very short time. My bridesmaid dresses were delivered late and with defects but she worked with the bridal shop to get them ready within a week. She was able to get this done no problem and for the most important day of my life. She also added a bustle even though her and I didnt discuss it since I was scatter-brained and honestly didnt even know/think about a bustle at that point. I almost cried when she told me at my last fitting that she just put it in for me. It was something she knew I would need and I would have been so stressed if I didnt have it. Pricing was also reasonable. Highly recommended!

I visited this tailor twice: once to bring the waist in on a pair of 7 Jeans, and once to repair a rip in some Hugo Boss slacks.Both alterations were perfect, and the prices were very reasonable.Great tailor.
