Best smoke shop in Iowa City. The boys at this shop are funny, kind, and educated on whatever question you could possibly think of. My boyfriend and I went in for a rig and he got the BEST customer service I have ever seen in a store PERIOD. Don’t waste your money or time anywhere else.

I went into the store sometime last week for the first time after moving from Illinois. After being smacked in the face with a potent smell, I laughed it off and made a joke to the employee about it. After being shrugged off, the taller skinny guy hit a pen and pretty much blew it in my face before offering me a hit of it. *insert fire emoji* They will HOOK it UP

They always have anything I could ever need in stock and have great customer service. The morning guys are super cool and get to know regulars. I usually bother them with a million questions but they always know what they’re talking about and don’t seem to mind. Definitely my favorite shop in IC.

Great people working at this store, they were very patient with me, I needed a glass piece replacement and bought the wrong one not knowing, when I went back to the store they helped me find the right piece I needed and didn’t charge me, I would definitely recommend checking out Almost Paradise if you haven’t, keep up the good work guys.

Took my Vape Nail in looking for replacement electric one, the person had the orginal nail and could see it is femal connecter yet sold me male connection. When I got home to try it, realized it didnt fit.Contacted the store and wouldnt fix or own up to there mess up when the person working had the exact one in hand and obviously wasnt knowledgeable about what he was selling.Was told to contact owner but only could provie email and refused to provide contact phone number. Ive shopped this store many times over past year and after this experience, I will no longer go there.

Almost Paradise was a place I went often about a year ago. Since then they have hired new employees who do not take any time to get to know reoccurring customers. They are also extremely rude. The man I spoke with barely spoke up and was extremely rude to me and acted like I had no idea what I was talking about. 0/10 never going here again. Absolutely terrible customer service and extremely rude. I recommend going to Up in Smoke in Iowa City. Way better service.

Employees are rude! Not only are myself and friends rudely spoken to when we call in, I just walked in by myself (with my ID) and some guy next to me didn’t have his on him and the short, male worker yelled at both of us to get out and quit wasting his time and then used vulgar language directed at the other male. But 5 stars to the coralville location!

Christian and Lucas are so amazing. I went in there with tons of questions and the explained everything and even help me get set up. They never once made me feel dumb no matter how many questions I asked about different things. They have won me over!

Owners allow the block sidewalk to fill up with garbage left behind by customers. Very poor neighbors. Rather than sweep his sidewalk, owner later tracked down my work number called me to harangue me about my poor review of his business. Because of this I will complain to city.

Always a great visit! The staff is cool and knowledgeable. They stock all the Juul pod flavors and they are much cheaper than any where in town. They also have a good assortment of the Juul wraps. Almost Paradise is the best smoke shop in town. Hands down! Thanks for being awesome!!

I had never been in here before, but i will DEFINITELY be back. The guys were super nice! I got two things that wouldnt ring up and i felt so bad. I apologized and they both said no no truly thank you now we can get them fixed. So so nice. Great staff!

The employees are very knowledgable and are able to help me with any questions or concerns that I have about the products. Also, they have the best selection of products in town and have many different options for disposables and they let you try them out in the store to see if you like them. Ill definitely be coming back again!

Place is well organized and cleaned. They open disposables for you and let you test them in the store, if theyre bad in a way, they get you a new one. Justin is the employee I see the most and he is very knowledgable. Highly recommend this place.

I purchase 4-6 disposables at a time so My trips to the store are limited. I just got 2 grape blows and four other flavors. Both grapes are broken and when I went back in they told me too bad I have to open all my disposables in the store to get an exchange. I should not have to worry about the quality of a new product. This is a terrible policy and poor customer service.

Employees are a joke.They couldn’t hear me over the loud music in the store so they grab me the wrong coils. I leave the store not realizing and then when I come back and tell them they grabbed the wrong coils, instead of dealing with their error they argue with me until I leave. So if you do shop here and you clearly tell them what you need you still have to double check to make sure it’s right. In all the employees are children and will never have my service again.

Great smoke shop, they have all the necessitys you would expect. Personnel is always willing to help and give their opinion on products. I almost exclusively use Almost Paradise. Have Juuls and other smoking devices, tobacco pipes and water pipes, bubbles and incense. Fun stop to even look at the art.

Terrible customer service. I almost walked out of the store the employee was so rude. I asked for help and he got snippy with me and then when I asked for a recommendation he got mad saying “I don’t know dude they are all the same just pick one and get out”. If I were the owner of this store I would spend more time training your employees. Terrible experience and won’t be using them again.

Went in at 8pm 8/2/2015. Upon entering there were two employees, one being trained. Initially, the new employee came to assist me but was unable to answer a question so he called over the other employee. After I insisted that he come to me instead of shouting my questions at him over the store he said You better be buying something as he came over. I asked him about a discount because I received bad advice about their products from another employee. After several short, curt responses and no explanation, I changed the subject and asked him to sell me a bowl. Each question I had about the product was met with snark or unhelpful responses. Whats the price range? got answered with There are stickers on each. When I asked him to take them out of the glass case, he refused. When I asked for more helpful and professional service, he kicked me out, saying that my broken piece was dirty (it was just cleaned). Worst headshop experience ever, thanks to a punk with no customer service acumen. Will never buy anything from these guys again without contacting the owner.

Worst customer experience EVER!! rude, rude rude. I will NEVER go back or spend another penny here. Over priced anyway and the glass is cheap knock off. The cashier (skinny, white guy with a red sweatshirt)needs a good dose of act right .Hope the owner selects better staff as this place is trash because of the staff!

Sold me a charger that melted, broke the device it was charging, and almost set my apt on fire. When I went in and brought it to their attention was told “ yeah we’be gotten that complaint a lot “ with no other form or resolution. Not even just bad business, they are dangerous.

These guys sold me $125 of equipment that broke on the first use. I tried to bring it in an have it looked at and was kicked out of the door.
