11-04-2021 two gentleman helped me and my kids and made them so happy. Great customer service, clean establishment and even my kids said the employee of the century works at our favorite store.

I had a great experience and a wonderful time being there. The gentleman that was working there was very kind and honest. When I left I forgot my GameStop card and he took the time to call me right back right away to let me know that I left it there. That was a great experience that I had at GameStop today and Im hoping to come back down to Iowa City a lot more on my travels

Associate greeted me right as I walked in and offered to help me. I explained that I wanted a high-clarity headset with no care for the price range and he was quick to point out their best stock. Check-out was quick and easy enough, even with the included time I took to set up an awards account. The associate was super helpful and definitely knowledgable. Will be back. 🚀

Gamestop primarily sells new and preowned video games, as well as video game systems and accessories. They also sell collectibles from Nintendo, video game franchises, pokemon, dragonball z etc. The preowned games are reasonably priced and the fact they sell preowned games is the main reason I frequent this establishment. They of course sell all the new video games that are released for the current gen systems as well as the last gen until companies stop making games for last gen. Gamestop does have a membership rewards program that is definitely worth the membership fee if you frequently buy video games. Im not sure how much the membership fee is because I do personally have it but the membership does give you a $5 coupon every month to use in store or online. Also, members get a 10% percent discount on top of the lower price of any preowned video games or accessories. You also get a 12 month subscription to Game Informer magazine which is Gamestops video game magazine with detailed stories on upcoming video games and reviews of most games releasing the same month the issue is released. If you still buy physical copies of video games, then you can stop in and trade in your games for cash or store credit. If you get the store credit you get more than if you just want straight up cash. If you are a Gamestop Rewards member you get extra cash or credit for being a member. This is the only thing I have a small problem with when it comes to any Gamestop store. Not just this one. Unless you play the game as soon as it comes out and take it back within a few weeks, maybe a couple of months, you likely wont get much back in terms of cash or credit. There are a few exceptions, such as the AAA video games or every week/month Gamestop does offer a good price back on a select few games they may need in stock at the store. They give you a few bucks back and then sell it for a much higher premium. I know its a retail store and they need to make a profit but I think they could give players back just a little more. Otherwise the staff at Gamestops, especially this one in Iowa City, are very knowledgable when it comes to video games and accessories. They are also courteous and friendly. They have no problem talking to you about their video game experiences and listening to your experiences as well! I highly recommend this establishment!

Taylor has some of the worst customer service Ive ever seen in my life. Ive spent hundreds of dollars in this store and have always been nice to him but I finally had enough. I understand life happens and we cannot be happy all the time, but dont treat the customer like they are wasting your time. Very disappointed as all the other employees have always been helpful and friendly. I will no longer be going to this location which is a shame.

Always has good prices on used games. Employees are always helpful and if the store doesnt have what we are looking for, they help me order it. I have the Gamestop pro-membership and it gives me really good discounts.

Employees are much friendlier then experiences at other stores and always find a way to get the answer were looking for.

They never answer the business phone! Better to go in than to waste time for 5 minutes trying contact them with unlimited phone rings! So upsetting!

This store literally saved my life. I was locked out of my car,wearing my man dukes mind you, and ended up waiting inside for approximately 3 hours as to avoid the frigid temperature. The employees were very kind and understanding, one even offering me part of his sandwich. Admittedly, no purchase was made that day but this act of pure kindness is a true testament to the GameStop employees at this location.

The worlds worst customer service and manager Taylor Swanson. He was insanely rude to a pregnant woman who was trying to assist him. I could not be more disgusted with that guy. Wish I could give a negative rating. Store number 7531 wish I had video taped the rudeness. TERRIBLE STORE!!!!
