White Farms Ice Cream in Ipswich has been around for over 50 years and is a place I frequented as a kid. Now, whenever I travel back to this area it is a Must stop for great ice cream. They have over 50 flavors of home-made ice cream both hard and soft serve. Any variation of chocolate is my choice, especially the Chocolate Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup while my wife likes the Almond Joy. Prices are fair and the quantity is large. They are easily identified by the cow on the roof. Plenty of tables for seating and an outdoor tent for shade from the summer sun. Mini golf is also available.

My friends ice cream looked tasty, although it melted quickly on a 73° day. Unfortunately my family couldnt try anything. Online, the posts showed soft serve and slush options, neither of which did they actually have available when we were there. When I inquired about the safety precautions for my child with a life-threatening peanut allergy, the server told me she couldnt help us - they had no options for that. So disappointing. We left and went down the street to another place that was much more helpful.

First of all, White Farms has maple walnut ice cream which my sister loves. She said it was wonderful. The black raspberry frozen yogurt was creamy and delicious. The young lady that waited on us was very nice.😊

I feel disloyal to my home state of Maine, but this is the best ice cream Ive had, period. If you are anywhere near White Farms and the temperature is anywhere above freezing, get yourself a cone of their homemade. Its probably good below freezing too.

Located just up the road from the Clam Box of Ipswich, White Farms is a classic New England ice cream stand with a cow on the roof that has been serving up scoops for over a half-century. Fans of brain freezes are in luck, as White Farms serves up hefty scoops of light, airy ice cream that can be eaten in much greater quantities than its heavy, butter-fat laden counterparts.

Extremely disappointed. This place used to be great, but this year something changed. The ice cream is terribly flavored now and not anywhere near as good as it used to be. Noticed a lot less fillings too, so they probably did something to cut back on costs. Its a lower quality ice cream now.Too bad...we wont be going back here for ice cream anymore. Weve tried twice this season and all my family members noticed the difference each time. Shame.

Bay circuit trail is right behind this icecream shop its a total of 5 mile to the farm and back though the woods good time. Ice cream is home made had the yogurt peppermint patty big chucks of dark chocolate very good!

When I was younger this was my favorite place but I dont know if it is new owners or what after the golf was put in the ice scream took the back seat. Everytime we go we have frozen spots in the ice scream or crystals. The flavor taste old like it melted and refreeze.Staff is always friendly and sweet. Hope they can get better freezers for their ice scream.

Mini-golf needs so much love and attention... There was trash and dirt everywhere! Masks, bottles, you name it... The last hole wasnt working, and nobody told us that. There where no numbers to mark the holes, either. I cant believe they charged us $8 a person to play!

A bit of upkeep outdoors wouldnt hurt. Broken benches and overgrown weeds. Good kids work there however. No complaints there. Also, decent ice cream. Dont plan to get soft serve. It is closed for cleaning, perpetually. This place used to be cared for, a few years back, but over the past two or three, it looks like its been forgotten.

Not sure what their ice cream is like but mini golf was terrible. no water in streams or water features (just dirty water and frogs), mud on greens and in holes, bushes growing over into course and flag poles in each hole that left painful fiberglass residue in both me and my childrens hands. Couldnt even play last hole as the cow was all broken and we were instructed not to even try. Course had potential if taken care if but I was very disappointed.

My husband and I loved this little place! The staff was very nice, and the ice cream was very yummy! We found a picnic table by some nice trees and enjoyed the outdoors while we sat and ate our treats. I would love to stop by again the next time we are in town!

Nice little mini golf place. There were a couple of water features that needed fixing to complete the course but otherwise it was great. The course is short, but it is a little tricky with a lot of curves that fool you. While we didn’t get ice cream we saw the huge list of flavors and prices were comparable to other ice cream shops around us, maybe some items a little cheaper.Tip: If you’re planning to go soon they have not set up the mini golf as separate, so to play you need to go ask at the ice cream store.

This is a place that we have to visit whenever we are in the Ipswich area. Great ice cream. Only one word of advice: if you normally order a small or a kiddie size, ask for the half kiddie. It is plenty big enough!

Dangerous place!!Asked them multiple times if ice-cream had egg as my daughter has egg allergies. We had their fudge vanilla ice-cream, which definitely had eggs. My daughter got sick and had to be urgently treated. An old lady was at the counter, who served us and even after asking so many times did not bother to check and did not care. Tried to call them on their phone to talk to manager and nobody picks up and goes directly into voicemail.Beware, the place is mismanaged and poorly run. STAY AWAY!!!!

It was so hard to decide between all the amazing flavors, but the ice cream scooper recommended her favorite (caramel cow) and I LOVED it. I also got reverse chocolate chip and it was incredible. The only difficulties are that it is cash only (though there is an ATM) and that it isnt close to anything.

Mediocre ice cream, horrible service. Took forever to fill our order, partly because the kid scooping our ice cream kept stopping to pick up her cell phone to text someone. All the kids working back there seemed to be spending as much time on their phones as they spent actually working.Pee before you go. We started a round of mini golf. Halfway through, my eight year old had to use the facilities. No problem I thought, there are public bathrooms here. Wrong, theyre closed. Out of order? Nope, just closed at a certain time even though the business is open for several more hours. I asked the clerk if she could just pop open the doors, my kid was about to burst. No. Can I speak to you manager? No, there no manager here. Well who is in charge? So she goes and gets another teenager. Can you let my kid in to use the bathroom? No. I want my money back, since we couldnt finish our round of mini golf. No.And dont let the name fool you, its not a farm.

I was going to give it one star but my son says the softserve is OK.Dont get the coffee ice cream!The sizes are small and you pay a ton of money. I would suggest go buying a half a gallon of Eddys ice cream and avoiding this place but thats just my opinion.
