Excellent service! Found a nail in the tire of my Tesla Model S after I got home from work. It was after 6 pm, but they were still open and happy to get me in for a fix right away. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. 10/10, would recommend.

My representatives were Tiffany and Stewart.Tiffany was very knowledgeable about the tires I specifically needed for my type of driving.Stewart made sure everything was taken care of professionally and timely. This location is convenient to me in Irmo close to the Post Office and is much better personnel since the change in ownership. Highly recommended and I don’t say that often.

From the time I got my car towed to them to the time I went and picked my car up I felt like family. They strive to make sure they give the best service as possible! Call and was qoeted a price of $84 and some change to buy a new tire and have it mounted.after job was completed went inside. To pay my bill.so i go in and its a different manager and he tells me to pay 105 and change.so i say hey i was told the previous price and he said the other guythe hell with getting i work to hard for my money gave me the wrong price.so heres my thought on mavis.if you dont mind paying a differant price then your told the first time then they are your guys.

I was turned away from 2 shops this afternoon for a tire patch and Mavis was able to fit me in right before they closed. They actually also found a safety issue regarding my tires and I was able to get 2 brand new tires at a great price. They were fast, efficient, and professional, and I was out of there in less time it took me to travel to the first 2 places. Had a flat today on a Sunday and Mavis in Irmo was actually open. I had not been there since it was sold several years ago and was pleasantly surprised. I couldn’t find a nail or screw but they filled it with air and dunked it in a tank and immediately found an unseen puncture. Came back right before closing and got it for no charge. The people were extremely friendly and helpful and I truly expected to pay and expected to pay $35. Based on my experience today and their great attitude I would highly recommend them.

Kenny and the Mavis crew were very honest by telling me that I didnt actually need the alignment that I thought Id need after upper control arm replacement. They did an alignment check and said it wasnt needed so I didnt get that extra charge. The staff was very friendly, responsive, and accomodating. Will use this location in the future for needed repairs. I had 4 shocks, 1 tire sensor, 2 upper control arms, and a wheele balancing and rotation completed at a very fair price.

I cannot say enough nice things about THIS location. I had a horrible experience with the Lexington location and Kenny the mgr at the irmo location jumped in and saved not only the day, my car but also a customer. I only dealt with Kenny and Nate but they’re customer service skills are extraordinary. I will tell everyone I know to here for their auto needs, they will take GREAT care of you!!

Nathan spoke with my father on Sunday morning in regards to my SUV tires needed to be replaced. He was able to get my vehicle in that afternoon! It was done the following morning, way earlier than I had expected. Anthony was very sweet and personable while I was there and answered all of my questions. Andrew is absolutely hilarious and made sure to help us through the process of payment. I couldn’t ask for a better team of people to work on my car! I’ll definitely be back!

I took my car to Mavis to get my front right axle looked at. It was found that not only was my front right axle bad but my left was also. I was promised repairs on both only to find out that they couldnt work on my left bc it was seized. After getting my car back so that I could take it to another shop to get repaired, I noticed loud metal on metal noises coming from both front tires along with my car pulling violently to the left when I drive. I was extremely upset and returned to have this problem fixed that was undoubtedly caused by the lack of professionalism and absolute carelessness of the mechanics when test driving my vehicle. After returning a second time, I instructed techs not to drive my car and only fix the problem. Instead of letting me know that the repairs had been completed, I received an anxious phone call from the manager, Kenny, instructing me to come in to the shop.....never a good sign, especially when Im already completely unsatisfied with the so called work Ive already had to pay for. Upon returning, I was told that 2 different people had driven my car completely ignoring what I had told them. I was infuriated. All the while theses noises only got worse. After coming back into the shop for a multiple occasion, I was told the tools were not present to fix the problem caused by the careless mechanics. Again, I had been told to bring my car in to have a repair that the shop could not do. Iam beyond completely unsatisfied. MAVIS NEEDS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR NEGLIGENCE. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY ANOTHER GRAND FOR SOMEBODYS CARELSEE MISTAKES. MAKE THIS RIGHT!!!!!!!

Called and told them I had a flat on my 2021 f150, and needed a repair, was told to bring it in and that they werent busy. Got there 20 minutes later and was told they were booked for the morning. I told them that I just called and they said it must have rolled over and been booked by their call center. They saw my information in the computer, but still stated they were too busy to accommodate me. Wasted my time going there even after I called to verify that they could help me. In my opinion this is no way to do business.

Great customer service! Was a last minute walk in on a Friday and they were able to get the tire fixed! Burly man with the fantastic beard and purse is fantastic! They will be my go to for now on!

They took their time with my vehicle to make sure every single one of my tires were fine, they remained professional even when a customers wife and father threatened to harm them, they didn’t take advantage of my lack of knowledge on vehicles and I recommend everyone to them for this! The last mechanical shop I went to tried to get me to put brake oil in my engine! The staff here is remarkable, sweet, caring and I appreciate them with every cell in me! Andrew and team, thank you! Complete gentlemen, even the men who worked in my tires! Their staff is awesome!

I was in the lobby and witnessed an man who appeared to be a service manager demean and completely disrespect the young woman at the service desk. It was beyond inappropriate behavior and more than that it was in extremely poor taste from any person in a position of power. I was uncomfortable to have witnessed such behavior at Mavis and as a customer of 3 years I have never seen something so unprofessional in the workplace. I later came back to apologize to the young woman after the service manager had left the lobby and urged her to report this to her supervisors i pray she does. Men who abuse their power over women in any setting need to be addressed.

These guys y’all THEEEESEE GUYS! I can not thank them enough for helping me when I popped my tire. They even stayed 20 min after close to help, all I can say is this is where you should go to get your tire needs taken care of cause they are great!

Giving 4 stars simply because they were open and accepted non-appointment walk ins when I needed them on 4 separate occasions over the last 1.5 years. Warning- on each of the 4 occasions I waited 2-3 hrs. 1) 4 new tires, 2)patch 3)nothing wrong just pressure light sensor needed reset 4) patch. I learned by the last time to begged them from the start not to do anything or check anything other than my tires. They are understandably trying to increase profit from each customer’s visit but I found this practice to be overwhelmingly annoying when they come out to discuss issues that you didn’t come in for and not have a clue when you ask about the issue you did come in for after you’ve been sitting 2 hrs or more. If only whey knew how much I’d paid to just be out of there... However that last visit was still 3 hrs. I was apologized to and I don’t know the full scenario of each of those occasion’s staffing deficiencies etc. -maybe I just got unlucky each time. I hope to have better luck somewhere else in the future. My recommendation to them is to spend less time talking to the customer about non immediate issues that weren’t brought up before the keys were passed over and more time explaining the situation/resolution of the problem that was discussed -because I always seemed to have to ask - “so was it a nail?” or “what did they find?”

The gentlemen at Mavis take excellent care of me, and my 2018 Kia Soul. Despite having a Road Hazard warranty on my tires through the dealership where I bought my Soul new, I would rather go to Mavis, and be treated well, and get in and out within an hour or two rather than wasting an entire day at the dealership waiting. Kudos to the gentlemen at Irmo Mavis, thank you for being the best choice in the area!

Went here a couple days ago to get 4 replacement tires and I had the most amazing experience. Atmosphere was real relaxed and they kept chairs spaced out for social distancing as well. The staff was polite and Andrew really broke everything down for me. T recommend looking for him everyone you come in. Real down to earth place!!

The worst place you can shop tire

I came to have my tires looked at. The tire pressure light came on. The man at the desk said they’ll look at my brakes and wipers. Excuse me? You’re a tire place and I asked you to check my tire. You’re not even interested in tire related questions. I came here because of a friend recommended it to me.But I won’t be back.They don’t even have name tags here. Just a shirt that says Mavis. How do I even know who I’m speaking with? You have my address phone number and name and I don’t even know your name...Oh and update 30 minutes later the same rude man at the desk starts playing loud music on his phone . Not headphones but speakerphone just out loud like there isn’t a customer in here. Disrespectful. Doesn’t listen. I’m confused. What kind of customer service is this

The manager on duty this morning needs to reevaluate his customer service skills. My husband came in this morning, Sept 21, 2020, to have two tires repaired (one that got a nail in it and was only a month old with road hazard, and another which was the spare which we found the other location didnt patch properly). We purchased four new tires with road hazard at another Mavis (Hardscrabble) about a month ago. After explaining the situation, the manager got defensive, and stated they would never patch a tire incorrectly. Well yes they may not, but a sister store did. My husband was even willing to pay to have the spare fixed properly. After taking his truck back for the tires, the manager then comes back and tells my husband that he needs all new shocks/struts. My husband told him we wouldnt be doing that right now, mainly because my husband had jobs lined up for the day and just came for the tires. Once again, the truck was just at a sister store a month ago, wouldnt that have been found?! Well of course, once my husband told him he wouldnt be doing the work today (mind you, couldve came back another day), he once again got an attitude explaining they do more than just tires and didnt have time for this basically. My husband asked him a few questions, plus he is a talker, and the more he talked the more irritated he seemed. Well after the tires were fixed, the manager comes back in with the keys and attitude stated, I just took care of it. My husband thanked him and asked him for record (as it is a work vehicle), which the manager reluctantly gave him. Funny enough, the receipt states we requested to have the truck checked for brakes, shocks, batteries...which we did not. After all of this, we will not be back or refer anyone. We have been going here for five years, before Mavis took over, and we have seen the customer service decline but we stuck with it mainly due to the techs, well not anymore. In these days and times, customer service is everything, along with supporting businesses. Goodbye Mavis.

I just had my first experience with Mavis Tires & Brakes about a month ago and I will never go anywhere else for my repair needs. I came to the manager, Andrew, as a complete hot mess needing several things done to my vehicle which included four new tires. I was half expecting the price to rival just buying a new vehicle all together. However, I was pleasantly surprised. When all was said and done, I was driving out of there with four brand new tires, all of the services I needed at a bargain price AND for a split second, felt like I was actually adulting successfully for once! Andrew definitely took care of me and went out of his way to make sure I was a very satisfied customer. I highly recommend!! Especially if you are someone who needs to get their life together such as myself and just needs someone who can at least figure out their vehicle issues. Just let Mavis take the wheel yall!

I would not recommend them at all. Took my car here to get my tire fixed because I paid for the tire extended warranty. They said they couldn’t repair it so I would have to get another tire. The extended warranty only covered $10 of the new tire cost. They also told me my brakes and rotors needed to be replaced bc they were warped. My total was over $600 and I said absolutely not and took it to Dustin Crapps at Crapps Tire Service. He then told me my brakes needed to be replaced and a new tire, my rotors looked fine and my total was only $262. Do not go here they will tell you anything to get money out of you.
