Sarah was super friendly and helpful in picking out some LVP flooring and tile for our bathroom remodel.

They did a very good job on my floors and steps. They cleaned up and the owner came by to check on the work. They also had the best price in the area.

All I needed was some reasonably priced carpet and not a lot of hassle. I tried a big box store. It took a week to get the estimate and then several more weeks to get scheduled. Their earliest installation date was over a month away. Trying to talk to anyone was very difficult. I randomly called Lake Murray Floor Covering, got Clay on the phone right away, explained what I needed. He measured for the estimate the very next morning and had it installed by the following week. Super professional, kept me informed along the way, and so easy to work with. I would call them again!

Has issues with insurance company and they were very helpful and patient throughout that process. Bill brought samples to our home and explained which ones would work and would not work. That decision was spot on. The installation crew was phenomenal, this job ended up being more complex and they made the adjustments. More than pleased and Lake Murray Flooring will definitely be my go to for any future flooring needs.

Absolutely horrible. We ordered our flooring from them and they took 1/2 payment up from. Long story made short, they delivered wrong floor... took months and came back with completely different floor again! At this pint we are months late and delayed other workers for kitchen Reno. I asked for our money back and he will not take it back. Compulsive liar and makes every excuse! Buyer beware!

My experience with Lake Murray Floor Covering was very positive. They were able to get my job scheduled within one week of the contract, and they showed up early and knocked the job out in about 3 hours. They removed damaged carpet from one room, transplanted carpet from another room into the first (installing new padding also), then installed new carpet and padding in the room they took the transplant carpet out of. And all this was done by three guys. As a certified home inspector, I am very skeptical of contractors and such. Lake Murray Floor Covering impressed me. First company to do so, in three years. They arent cheap, but they do great work in my experience. I would recommend them for sure.

Great experience! Recently purchased a new home and had all flooring redone and new kitchen backsplash installed by LMFC. Prices were great, customer service was great, installation was great and completed job looks awesome. I could not be happier! Service guy is pretty awesome too!

No help at all!!! The guy did not know what he had in stock as far as stair treads or he just didnt want to be bothered. I will never go there again!

DO NOT GO TO LAKE MURRAY FLOORING. These people are rude and have zero customer service skills. The owner Bill Green is rude and unprofessional. He obviously trains his staff the same way. Bill and one of his other staff members had to come out to my home and measure twice. Even after measuring twice and not showing up at least three different times they still over ordered 15 boxes of Flooring. How is this even possible for someone who does Flooring for a living? They will say they are going to call you and they never do. You have to keep after them like they are two year olds. I finally had to find another installer because they never showed up and then when I called I would get told they are just swamped. Fact is the installer was on vacation and he probably didnt care about his job because of how unprofessional the business is ran. After someone else installed my Flooring my stairs needed carpeting. After over a month Bill finally sends someone out to install the carpet on my steps. The guy he sent was over 70 years old and wasnt strong enough to install the carpet so he had to go back to Lake Murray Flooring and get another remnant which was easier for him to install. Between his smoke breaks and resting periods it took him ALL DAY just to carpet 13 steps. He left the old carpet he couldnt install behind. A few days later Bill Green starts calling and texting me to pay the installer and pay him more than double what he quoted me. I told him to have his installer pick up the carpet he couldnt install and I would pay him exactly what we agreed on. Well Bill became very upset and started sending me nasty texts telling me to GO F#$K MYSELF. I am shocked this place has been in business as long as it has. Be warned your carpet will smell like cigarettes because they all smoke in the warehouse where the carpet is stored. So if you want to go somewhere to get ripped off, treated rudely, and get put off all the time this is the place for you.It seems you like to twist everything around to sound like you were doing me a favor. Here are the facts:Bill and Rob both came to my house and measured. These measurements were used so I could order the flooring from my family member. The measurements were incorrect (FACT). Lake Murray Flooring was going to do the install of the floor (FACT). We were left hanging several times and had to call and were finally told it would be a month before the flooring could be installed (FACT). I also ordered over $400 worth of flooring thresholds from Lake Murray Flooring (Fact). As for the remnant issue, the 70 year old installer said a waterfall install would look terrible and he said he still was NOT strong enough to install the remnant (FACT). He cut the remnant up and left it in my driveway while he went back to the store to pick up the other remnant. When he returned I asked him why he didnt take the cut up remnant back and he said you can just talk to Bill about it he will probably just let you keep it. I informed him it didnt matter to me and I could try and put it on my patio (FACT). I never said I would purchase a cut up piece of carpet. The fact is the installer didnt feel like loading the remnant up in his truck and returning it to the store (FACT). After being put off several times about the flooring install Bill and Rob said they would install the carpet on my stairs for $100 for the install (labor) and whatever the remnant costs ($65.00). So the total should have been $165.00. (FACT). The installer said he worked for Bill Green and never asked for any payment. I received a bill in the mail from Lake Murray Flooring for $189.00 which was not really legible. It was more than what I was quoted but I paid the bill anyway.

I emailed several flooring companies in the area about buying a small piece of vinyl floor for a repair in my home. Ben from Lake Murray Floor was the only one that responded, and he did so very quickly. It wasnt long before my order came in and I was able to get my kitchen floor back to normal. Nothing but a good experience.

If theres a way to rate zero star, shall do that. Very bad customer service. Really regret using them ignoring other reviews here. The guy over the phone is really rude and he claimed that he represents his boss so I believe that the boss should be the same, not caring if their customers are satisfied. No wonder their employees left so often. Actually its not what they said. Its the way they said it. Another bad business everyone should avoid. you dont follow me, you are not comprehending... Thats what they said over the phone. I can t believe people can be so rude, sounds like customers are retarded. Yes, I am stupid enough to use them.

I am thrilled with Lake Murray Floor Covering. They were very helpful and professional. I had grossly unlevel floors in my living room and entry. They came yesterday pounded, shimmed, sanded, skim-coated and finally I had level floors. Once my floor was level they installed my beautiful luxury vinyl plank floor. I am so grateful after dealing with Lumber Liquidators who were unable to install their LVP. They left me with an unfinished floor and no answers. When I went to Lake Murray Floor Covering I was sure I would have to get carpet, but Steve said that I could get LVP. He told me that they had the best installers and they do! Thank you Lake Murray Floor Coverings. You are the best!

Writing this review is painful, but needed to let people know.So I am a pastor of a small church in the Northeast part of Columbia. I sent some bids out to replace some carpet in the church and Lake Murray Floor Company won. They did a good job and as soon as they finished the first section I went immediately and paid for it. While I was there I asked if they would be able to do bathrooms. Of course they said yes and I was able to start talking about setting up something because I needed something done for my house.Fast forward to when Bill, the president, came by and took all the measurements. It was here that I told him everything I wanted done. I specifically said I wanted to change out my shower fixtures as well and his response was that he would take care of it. He said “I will take care of everything.”The quote was written up with a lot of stuff on there and as I was going over it in the store with my wife and I said I need everything taken care of from start to finish. My wife heard me say it. I paid for almost half of it and told them I was going to Lowes to pick up a fixture. Later on I called and was confirming everything and the lady on the phone informed me that they didn’t do plumbing, implying they weren’t going to do the shower. I said, well Bill told me he would take care of it. She put me on hold and reached out to Bill and apparently he said they would take of it because she came back on told me that he would.Now the subcontractor shows up and begins doing demo on my shower and when I showed up with the shower fixture he said he would charge me 300 dollars. I told him that Lake Murray Floor Covering told me they would take care of it. He called the store and spoke with someone and they told him to go ahead and do it, that it would be taken care of, so he did it. 2 weeks later when he finished, (it was a small job but the materials that were ordered were messed up so it took so long) the subcontractor asked for his check for not only the 300 dollars but also putting the toilet back in. Also b/c of the work he had to do I had to buy trim b/c he tore up my trim.After the job finished (it wasn’t bad, no caulking or painting for the trim that was replaced is my only complaint), I reached out the Lake Murray about adjusting the cost with providing receipts for what I had to pay and pictures on how it was left. I called 4 different times and each time I was told someone would get back in touch with me about adjusting my bill. Only one timed did someone call me back and it was here that I was provided an email to send the proof of receipts and pictures. Finally, after a month I called again and Bill Greene, the president calls me back and leaves a message on my phone saying basically the bill is correct and he doesn’t know what I’m talking about.I reached out to him on his cell phone 2 different times after this and he failed to call me back. Moreover, I am supposed to receive a discount b/c I am a chaplain at Lexington Medical Center and he said he wouldn’t give this to me. To be fair though, the refusal came before I signed the contract at the beginning of the process.Frustrating, and to be honest, if it was put in the original quote I would have been ok with it. I am just bothered by the fact that the price changed because of poor communication on their part. I say that b/c the subcontractor told me that this happens all the time and it has started to make him look bad.If you decide you want to go with Lake Murray floor covering, just make sure you get everything clarified and written down. What would change my rating would simply be to subtract my receipts from the original quote.And let me share a clear dichotomy, concerning the business work with the church, I am and our parishioners are pleased with the work, the speed and communication done. It was the residential side that I ran into this problem.Lord bless

Poor communication sums up our experience. I would NOT recommend Lake Murray Floor Coverings services to my friends or family. Prices were slightly higher than surrounding businesses; however, I thought the service, sales, and experience would be better if we paid more. I was wrong.The subcontracted installer was professional and did a good job.

The employees are very professional and make sure the job is done right. I look forward to using Lake Murray Floor Covering in the future.
