The staff are super friendly and I love the flexibility in scheduling lessons; as a working dad I can go and jam later in the evening which fits right into my busy lifestyle! The classes are incredibly affordable and they offer a few alternative s to making up missed lessons which is great since youre already paying for it! Stay awesome guys!

My granddaughter really enjoys learning how to play her classical acoustic guitar with her instructor! She had her first virtual lesson and is very happy with her progression!

We have been so pleased with the talent and growth we have seen in our daughter (9 yo). Through both voice and piano lessons, her teachers are spectacular and so kind, caring and knowledgeable!

Both of our kids, six and nine, take lessons at Irmo Music Academy and love their teachers. During this time of isolation, it is wonderful to have place to go where we know well be safe and if we choose, we can even have virtual lessons of equally awesome instruction. The kids are enjoying learning drums and guitar.

The academy offers safe environment for students. Music instructors are friendly and knowledgeable. My daughter looks forward to her lesson every week. After only 6 months of studying there, her piano skills shows. I never get tired seeing her fingers run up and down on the piano keyboard making musics. Thanks to the Irmo Music Academy.

It’s been a great experience in a crazy time. My son looks forward to his lessons and is progressing well. I deeply appreciate the fact that a virtual option is available which has allowed our son to learn without us being worried about his safety and he’s comfortable in his own home. I highly recommend the Academy!

I love how much time the instructor spends explaining my daughter is working on! I love how we never have to pay any recital or activity fees, and I definitely love that they take such a priority in the safety of the students. Plus, being able to call and reach an actual human who knows who I am, is such a benefit when I have questions.

Can’t say enough when it comes to the outstanding instruction offered by Irmo Music Academy’s drum instructor Jason Summers. Last year my son Karl signed up for concert band at Chaplin Middle School as a percussionist with absolutely zero performing experience and note reading skills. With Jason’s assistance, Karl was able to perform with the utmost confidence and technical precision on bells as well as as all percussion instruments and now has taken his talents to Spring Hill High School where he performs with the drum ensemble! Karl’s drum kit playing has improved incredibly to the point where he would feel comfortable sitting in with Columbia’s best rock musicians I’m sure. Thank you Irmo Music Academy!

Finding a time for lessons that worked for us was very easy. The staff has been super helpful and always willing to answer questions. The ability to text with questions makes communication very easy. Our teacher is great - she connected with my son immediately, and was able to reach us at our levels easily.

Mark Valentino is an excellent guitar instructor! He is patient with my son, engages him to keep his interest, and knows when to relax the lesson if Noah is having a hard time. I would recommend Irmo Music Academy to everyone. The entire team at Irmo Music Academy feels like family. Everyone smiles and it feels more like visiting family than visiting a business.

Im sorry to say that I will not be returning my child to their school. The instructors are fantastic but the owner is very rude and unprofessional. He just thinks of you as a number. They were not able to provide agreed services due to unforeseen situation but still were requiring us to pay full lesson prices for services they could not provide. I understand the reason they cant provide those lessons at this point but they shouldnt continue to charge me until services return to normal.

My son absolutely enjoys his drum lessons. He raves about it every week to anyone he comes in contact with. He has learned so much in the short time he’s been enrolled. Highly recommend

Ms. Nikea is an awesome instructor. She always provides guidance and understanding, keeping me on track with the lesson plan. The staff is always friendly and responsive to any questions or needs that arise.

I’m super excited about the opening of this new school of music! I know the owner and he’s an awesome teacher, an excellent musician and runs a first class operation. His staff is awesome. In my opinion this is the only viable option for lessons in the area.
