We purchased an adjustable split king frame (2 twin XL). After much research by my spouse we decided the basic model would do what we wanted/needed (raise/lower head, raise/lower foot). And got a good price on it! Then we decided to go with the Nectar mattress in a box. And got a really good deal on those! FYI we thought they would have a single pillow in with each twin mattress but they had 2 pillows in each mattress.We dealt with Richard Petty at the Montevallo Road store in Birmingham. He was great!! Answered our questions, offered suggestions, never pushing us to go with someone more expensive than we wanted.The delivery was done at the promised time (actually they were able to come a little earlier than first thought). They were in and out so fast with the delivery we were amazed. Delivered the sheets and mattress protectors we had ordered along with everything else.We have now slept on the mattress for a couple of weeks (didnt count the first few days as we were so exhausted from moving that we would have slept on broken glass and not felt anything). We are pleased with the support and comfort of the mattress and being able to raise the head has saved my spouses life because the snoring has almost stopped completely with being able to raise the head some.I would definitely recommend talking with Richard about new mattress and/or bed frames.

Imagine getting to play Goldilocks and pick out the mattress that’s “just right”, finding it is easily affordable, and then being driven home by Richard Petty himself.I’ll begin by destroying the teaser I just wrote; Richard Petty just happens to be the actual name of the sales representative who helped me. I don’t know if he ever drove a race car, but he brought this sale over the finish line just fine. The location of this true fairytale was not the bears’ cottage in the enchanted forest – it was Bedzzz Express on Montevallo Road. And it deserves not five, but a whole galaxy of stars in my book.First, the really bad part: I was recently hospitalized twice in a single month for degenerative back disease, deteriorated pelvis, sciatica, and severe osteoarthritis. I was told that I needed to get a firm mattress.It was more than a month before I was even able to get to the store by cab and walk in on my own. During that period, I called the Bedzzz Express on Montevallo Road and spoke with Richard Petty. I must have driven him nuts with all my questions, but he listened and answered patiently.By the time I could get to the store, he knew everything about my issues. He helped me find precisely the right mattress for my needs. He insisted that I take my time and try everything till I found what I felt would be most comfortable.So I tried them all, and found the perfect one – which happened to be the first one he had suggested. Mr. Petty knows his stuff.Mr. Petty also knew I was concerned about medical bills and that I was on Social Security. He knew I worried about putting this on a credit card, so he helped me arrange for 12 interest-free payments that will be much easier for me to handle, making this less a financial catastrophe than it might have been.Mr. Petty also knew I had been without a real bed for well over a month, while I slept on a sofa. This was a Saturday, and I was sleeping in my own bed -- very comfortably, I might add -- Monday night. And the delivery personnel were just fabulous – white glove treatment all the way.When I was ready to leave, I took out my phone to call a cab, explaining that I was still unable to drive. Mr. Petty offered to drive me home, and that was an unexpected kindness that I truly appreciate.KUDOS to Mr. Petty and to Bedzzz Express on Montevallo Road. I would add that everyone in the store and the delivery personnel as well were just exemplary. I give them my highest recommendation.

Exceptional knowledge of the various mfgr’s and spent all the time we needed to make a good decision on our new S & F mattress. Only complaint we have is wasted $110 pchs of mattress protective cover required to validate guarantees. It simply does not breath and thus can and does cause sweating. Don’t waste your money!

Richard was still fantastic, but the delivery associates broke part of my side light blinds while bringing the mattress into the house. After several promises that they will fix the issue, I am still left with no communication and a broken blind.What made this worse is when they took the mattress out of the plastic it was damaged and stained. David promised to have an new one delivered, but on the day of delivery, nothing. After speaking with the terse delivery manager, another Richard, I had another brought several days later.Sales upfront = great service. Backend service = fail.
