Mrs Stephanie at the Alton Rd location in Birmingham was an excellent employee. She went above & beyond to make sure I received my package. My husbands prior experience with her was amazing as well. She acknowledged us as soon as we arrived & even went out her way to acknowledge our kids.
My trip to this FedEx shipping center was great. There was only one person in line ahead of me when I walked in, and there were two employees available to help. I gave one of them the ticket that was left on my door after I missed a package which required a signature. The employee promptly returned from the back with my package, verified my identity, and I was on my way! Both employees were very personable as well.
Very nice lady helped me inside. Always quick and easy when I go here and everyone is very knowledgeable.
Worst facility ever I’ve had to travel 20 miles from home to this facility on numerous occasions just because the driver always claims “no one was home” or “they missed us” during the delivery when in fact the a****** never knocks or looks for the house. Today I watched the driver ride past my house, called customer service to report the issue which they were no help even caught an attitude due to me calling to much, so I decided to go to the facility 1hour & 30 minutes before closing got there after me lengthy drive & doors were locked knocked on the door & the workers looked at me turned around & walked off.

I send pkgs all over the country with FedEx and never had a problem until this location! They claim my PKG has been on a truck for delivery for 8 days now!!! I cant get anyone to help me with any information! I sent 5 handmade quilts and they cannot be replaced! I just want to cry..... Ive never been treated so rudely in my life! I will NEVER use FedEx again because of this lousy location
Agree with many others. They have a history of issues delivering to our address that google maps brings me right too. I have waited over a week on packages in past. Waited today OUTSIDE working so that I could accept a package that needed a signature. They never came and I get texted that delivery was attempted?!?!? I check motion camera on front door to see if they came when I went in for restroom break, no one came! Last time that I will use them.
Fedex delivery to my address a cell phone . They leave the phone on the ground without knocking on the door. The phone was stolen. What company would leave a cell phone on a apartment complex on the ground without signing or knocking. Terrible service. Now I have to get a police report and go through the replacement process because of a incompetent company cannot deliver a simple cell phone.

Went there for a ground shipment, but was told they only deal with express .. I was sent next door to ground Warehouse 20 feet away, but the gate was locked and nobody around, go figure !
They were very friendly and helpful. Great place! Remember to go all the way to the top of the hill. Dont go right at the first sign for FedEx. The shipping center is at the end of the road.
I went to this facility because FedEx customer service directed to this so I could return package to a sender. I was told the would scan a label sent to my smart phone, print a label and than return the package to the sender. That did not happen. The employee was very polite but told me there is no way they could do that can of service.. I dont as told they do not have any way to print a label or scan my phone. The agent apologize and said she wished their customer service would stop sending people out there for the kind of service. I had to drive from Irondale all the way to downtown Birmingham on 20th Street North. I did manage to contact the customer service agent who originally sent me to Irondale and told she needs to stop sending peoples to Irondale do the service I needed. It was a long way from where I lived (Roebuck) and a very remote area. I was completely loss and couldnt even find my out of there without my GPS. I drove out a half tank of gas going from home to Irondale to Downtown Birmingham and back home again. So if you need to have labels printed from your smart phone and put on a package and sent back to a sender dont go to the Irondale FedEx. This facility was no built for that purpose.

All my packages that have ever been sent through FedEx have always had delivery issues. My husband waited a whole month for one package. Im currently waiting on a package thats been in my area for a week now. The website and customer service keep saying its on a truck for delivery but when I finally get transferred to the ground office he said its not even on a truck! Ive never shipped with FedEx and I wish companies I order from would stop using them, its ridiculous.

Missed the delivery man this afternoon but was able to come straight here after work and pick up my package. No issues and super nice staff.
Do not I repeat Do not use this carrier service! FedEx is terrible. I ordered a pool from Walmart tracked it all the way to this location, only to never get my delivery. Go to this location and they try to give me someone elses order. So I get the pool reordered again. And once again no delivery! I am fed up at this point! Who ever you are ordering from and they use them, dont waste your time, order from someone who dont use them!!!
FedEx is really slipping in my area. I sat in my living room till 7 pm last night waiting on a delivery I had to sign for. Around 8 pm I get a text saying attempted to deliver at 12:42 pm. No one knocked on my door no one left a door tag. I called support and asked that they just keep the package at the facility and I would pick it up since the driver lied about trying to deliver it, they said I could. This morning I get a text saying out for delivery! I called support and asked if it was correct I was told that the shipper doesnt allow the option to pick up from the facility and the package would be delivered today. Around 11 AM I get a text saying attempted to deliver. I have literally been sitting on the couch with the curtains and blinds open waiting. Not even a drive thru! I dont know what these drivers are up to but they really suck. Ive waisted two days on this package and still havent received it. I starting to hate FedEx!

This location constantly cannot seem to deliver. Third time in a row that hundreds of dollars of products have taken days of languishing at this facility to be delivered if at all. I can clearly see that products i ordered arrived at this facility and somehow yet manage to remain Out For Delivery for literally days on end. Do you guys pack stuff in a truck that sits in someones yard while the driver plays video games and gets high? You have one function as a business...deliver items to peoples homes and businesses. You obviously are having a difficult time even getting the basic part of your business model right. I want this facility investigated for its repeated mishandling of mine and others shipments. Fedex doesnt reimburse me for lost business due to its inability to deliver the raw goods i require to fill my customers orders. If i could give negative stars here i would.

Absolutely unacceptable. My wife ordered a package and after missing the first attempt which my wife and I neither knew was coming because the tracking was not updated. They said the package would be delivered on the next day. Nothing. So we checked the app to see where it was. And it only gave us the option to pick the package up from a local Walgreens. What a load of BS at this point. So we expected the item to be delivered the following day at the Walgreens, but called and the lady has said no fedex deliveries had ran. And that she didnt have our package. We are now 4 days behind on this. And cant connect to a single person over the phone to figure out where the hell our package has gone.FedEx is by far one of the most frustrating and useless courier companies in the US. And wed rather use USPS from this point forward.

Fedex drivers are liars. They stated they attempted a delivery when that was not the case. My business has been open all day and not a single fedex truck has pulled up to my business.
Incompetence at its finest. Apparently these morons dont own a calendar or Elmer Fudd coordinates logistics. According to their tracking it was suppose to deliver on the July 31st 2014 so I made arrangements to be home. Well of coarse it didnt. They decided to deliver a day late August 1st 2014 when no one was home to accept the package. Now its been taken back to the warehouse to sit the entire weekend because God forbid someone get their lazy butt up and be open so people can pick up a package that they cant deliver when they say they will. I need this package for my job out of town that Im leaving for early Monday morning (before they open). So even if I wanted to spend my time and gas going to pick up a package Ive already paid them to deliver, I cant. Now Ive got to go pay more for something because they cant deliver on time. This is the biggest group of incompetent a##holes on the planet. Ive seen smarter people lose the Special Olympics. The post office does a better job than these idiots. Moral of the story- use UPS or the post office youll have better results.

Picking up at this location was easy, and the lady working at the front was fantastic!
Stopped by to ship a package that contained lithium batteries. No one there had any clue how to properly handle it as far as the paperwork goes. The lady there called the dangerous goods department and they said I needed a form and a caution sticker for the box. None of which this place had on hand or had any clue what the form was. I should be able to walk into a main FedEx facility and get that handled. Ended up going down the road to a FedEx office and they had everything I needed and knew what to do.
Signage is poor for this to be a Huge courier service. I drove old 78 (Alton Road)all the way around to Hwy 11/Trussville and the gate were closed before 8:PMPlease get better signage to indicate your location. 1h 15 minutes is ridiculous to drive back woods at sunset.

They have been sending wrong packages to our address and I have to deliver it to the right address which is very annoying especially if this will happen 5 times in a row in less than a month. Can somebody fix that problem? Maybe change your delivery guy or something? Because I do not get paid to be your 4th carrier service. Customer services representative are so annoying! I had to give my information and tracking number, really? It’s not my package I don’t need to do all of that. Stayed home to make sure I was home to sign for an international package. I was watching while the driver pulled into our driveway and left without getting out of the truck or leaving a slip on the door. Then I check my tracking information to find that my package could not be delivered because I wasnt home?!? Both cars were here, our lights were on and my kids were playing outside. This is the height of laziness and there are too many other people who need a job to keep people like this employed. This is not the first time this has happened to us and it is beyond frustrating. Theres no recourse and now I have to take off another day. UPS is so much better, theres no comparison.
FDX Customer service reports it is open on Saturdays for drop-off of Express packages. Its not open at ALL on Saturdays. Get your act together FedEx and inform your call-center employees with correct and up-to-date information.
Delivery van came down my driveway turned around and left. Never put the van in park. Never saw me as I was walking out towards him. Watched him drive away and turn down a side street to deliver a package to a neighbor. Then I get a notice that they attempted to deliver but no one was home. Really? 2 cars parked outside with another in the open garage and all the lights on. Not to mention I WAS WALKING TOWARDS him. No call no horn honk nothing. Couldnt even put it in the oversized mailbox.

I guess they must have monkeys driving the trucks, throwing packages willy nilly, since I never received mine and was home all day and now my package cant be located. Filed a claim, they called three days later and asked me if I was ever able to locate it. Um, Maam? Excuse me? Is logic on vacation? Has common sense left the building? Isnt it your job to locate a misdelivered package? Fed Ex-The green ketchup of delivery services. GPS deficient. The worst. I am unable to can. Apparently, so are they.

Wanted to ship a $5,000 item from here after going to a fedEx on 20th in town. They told me to go here to repackage for the ins value. I get there Irondale mgr tell me I have to go to another FedEx Store where they have more packing supplies. Now I have to drive 30 minutes to special pack just to have it arrive at Irondale again?
Third time in a row Ive had to go to this specific fedex center to pick up a package that they kept on a local delivery truck for 12 hours then ended up never delivering. And, literally as I was writing this review, they hung up on me as I was trying to call to set up a pickup time. Hilariously bad. Stick with UPS/USPS/DHL. Or avoid the chumps that manage/operate this facility like the plague, at least.
Couldnt give me my package after I spoke with customer service and they told me Id be able to pick it up, so the lady at the front left a note not to load my package on the truck for delivery that I would be there in the morning to pick it up and they still loaded it anyway 😑

Aweful service! Package delivered to the wrong house, then it got worse from that point.
Driver came down my driveway, turned around and left. posted that package was left at front door. The only time the van stopped was to shift from drive to reverse and back to drive. I was standing at front door yelling and whistling, trying to get him to stop. end result was no package.
