I am a friend too. Like all other friends of the library. They are run by volunteers rising money for libraries. Donate your book to them. Best way to recycle your book. And shop there you might find something you like.

It is a very cozy library. The staff is friendly, the books are varied, and the DVDs are great. Our children often rent books and DVDs here. It is also good to take a private walk along the park. Unfortunately, the Internet is slow.

Great prices. Poorly organized. Sections marked but sporadic ordering within them. Found similar books (title, author, binding, edition) in multiple sections with different prices. Good for browsing, but not suitable if you are seeking a specific item. Inventory includes movies on DVDs, music CDs, books on tape [CDs].

Great small selection of books, friendly service, and the money goes to a good place. Its changed over the years and I wish they would have more craft books, but still worth checking out every now and then. Bring cash.

Ho
Review №18

This library does not have a great selection of books on CD - mostly series of those mystery books that are written by authors like Sue Grafton or Danielle Steele. I also wanted to inquire about the voters guides for the upcoming election and the front desk people sort of ignored me. I go because its on my way home from work but if you like audiobooks, go elsewhere

I volunteer here when I can. Everyone is so friendly! They have a HUGE selection of books!...textbooks, cookbooks, childrenss books classic Shakespere, sheet music, CDs, DVDs,... the goes on! Many are brand new, or in very good condition. Hundreds are sold for just $0.25, while others are only $1.00. Skip Barnes&Noble. Buy your books here! They are closed on Wednesdays, and take any and all donations (except magazines). If you want a tax write off, ask for a receipt!

Do you remember that old library you use to go to when you were a kid? This is the place. I didnt live in Irvine growing up, but I can appreciate going to an old library, kind of like the one in Ghostbusters. Something about the old dusty smell combine with older wooden furniture and near a Elementry school brings me back about 20 years :).. **but Jason how could that be? you only look 21. Thank you but looks can be deceiving. I promised I will stop talking to myself in this review...This library is perfect for children! There is a large area for children/ teenage books. The good thing is its far away from the adult tables/ study area. This library is pretty quiet. Except for the staff! I felt like the librarian was not near me, but I could hear him talking loudly on the phone or to a patron. Even though it was a work related call, he acted like he was in a cell phone in an area with low reception. This was annoying the crap out of me. If he would shut up, this place would be a perfect place to study. Not many people know about this library. There are a limited amount of tables but the wireless internet is suprising fast for such an old library. Compared to the Heritage Library the internet is the speed of Usain Bolt.Library good. Staff BOOOO. Highly recommended for kids and teenagers and people looking to travel back in time.
