The only reason I gave it three stars was because there is so much merchandise in the store laid out so closely together, that it was hard maneuvering my mother on her small manual wheelchair through the aisles.

Went in to exchange something I bought in an Idaho Big 5. They had my size and I was in and out in 10 minutes. 👍 superior customer service.

Super helpful and knowledgeable staff. Helped me select and purchase a table tennis table, and then helped me lift it on to the roof of my car and provided twine and tools to allow me to tie it down. I saw the same person that helped me go into huge details with another customer on fishing supplies, and the. also provide advice on hunting equipment. I would definitely recommend going here if you need some help choosing an item or getting started with a new sport.

I just stopped by to get some new shoes and Ben the assistant manager who was filling in from the Santa Ana store was the nicest most helpful person Ive ever dealt with. There were a few customers who were trying to return some shoes that unfortunately would have to be ordered as they didnt have them in stock. When Ben said, just be sure not to wear the shoes in the meantime. the woman at the counter freaked out and became extremely rude and angry. Despite this Ben remained calm and polite throughout the Interaction. Once he had finished helping them order the shoes and giving the same warning, the womans husband there now being much more understanding. He was then able to help me with my shoes. It was some of the best customer service Ive ever seen and he should definitely get a raise or promotion soon Because damn hes good at his job.

The Big 5 Sporting Goods store on Alton at Culver boulevard is packed with outdoor amenities. Plenty of parking in front of the store. The products they sell cover all types of sports. Great affordable shoe selections for kids, women and mean. The service staff are all helpful to assist with finding the right gear.

Cody and Stephanie were very friendly and polite, answered all of our questions. I dont think Ive had better customer service experience than this, they make me want to come back. Recommended items that were either better for the price or highly from others. Overall I am very happy with my purchase of work shoes that I needed.

I love big 5. I get the sunday advertiser and go in there and just buy random stuff. A canopy, a pocket knife a tank top and a tent. My kids tell me I have a problem and should seek help. But lets be honest, big 5 is the best store for random sh** there is!

Had a pleasant experience. Walked in, staff was friendly and helpful right from the start. Found exactly what I was looking for with their help.

Needed some knee compression and after shopping around remembered seeing some at Big 5. And sure enough they had what I needed. Unfortunately they only had up to large and I needed extra large... so I had to settle for something that wasnt my first choice to get a proper fit. Good job overall, staff was friendly and offered assistance

I called them at 9pm (closing time) with a simple question about a specific item. It was answered promptly and with full competency unlike the other 4 sporting goods stores I called before hand. I was not put on hold for 10 minutes to be hung up on and believe it or not, they were happy to help. I will be in tomorrow to buy the item. Solid customer service. This is the way businesses should operate. Take notes Dana Point.

Good place for most sporting goods. I really like the 10$ discount on purchasing for 30$. Im give 4/5 for the only reason that i could not find usb chargeable bicycle lights (They only had battery powered ones).

There are always deals in this store. Good place for bargain athletic shoes. They have a good selection of tennis clothes and gear. This is the cheapest place to buy Dunlop tennis balls. They ask for a photo ID when using a credit card, which I like.

I am happy to have been able to find such a shop. It is like the sporting heaven for sports lovers like me. Come visit and you wont regret.

Best place to get quality sporting goods

Went to buy bird shot, I was expecting to do the background. The manager who could do the background was not there until much later. Couldnt complete my purchase. Wont go back, better to go somewhere where the managers are always available.

For such a small store they carry a very wide range of stuff, from camping/fishing to racquetball to baseball to swimming to weightlifting. But the selections are shallow and generally mediocre at best. For example, they carry several different weightlifting belts, but not a single one is regulation. Their clothing is a handful of popular brands (UA, Adidas, etc.) plus semi-generic (Russell), but the styles are meh, sizes limited and prices high for nothing special. Clothing you can often find for less by walking a few doors down to Marshalls. They have good prices on shoes. Always download the coupon before going in. The manager doesnt cut you any slack on that, even if youre a regular.

Today I had the worst experience ever in Big 5, as I was looking for camp stuff, and I asked for help, a blonde guy was rude and careless, and the girl on the cashier was wrong with the price and she treated me in a way as if I am the one who made the mistake.. It was so obvious that they are racist against Muslims.. Last time to buy anything from this place.
