Amazing food and made fresh to order. Lots of options and can customize for dietary restrictions. Great for vegetarians.
It was okay and had some good deals. The cashier and bagging staff were helpful and efficient.
A good stop for south indian groceries...
The good part of the store is You get almost everything that’s necessary for cooking. Make sure to check for expiry date, even after informing at cash counter they don’t take any action to take the expired products out.
Great Indian supermarket. Has a lot of variety and fresh vegetables and fruits. A lovely assortment of spices and rices. LOVE it.
A go to store for all the desi groceries...however, the produce section is always messy, especially the Corriander section. THEY SPRINKLE TOO MUCH WATER ON CORRIANDER AND, IT ROTS IN NO TIME AT HOME DESPITE USING ALL THE HACKS IN THE BOOK TO PRESERVE IT FOR LONG...
You get all the good stuff from India and Pakistan. Great deals as well.
Patel brothers is a great place for Indian grocery and vegetables shopping. You can select from a wide variety of vegetables and frozen food from here. And if you are craving for Indian munchies, they have a great collection of kurkure, chanachur and other munchies. The price is reasonable. Produces are fresh. Loved shopping here.
My baby call it the parrot store because of the logo. We love this one. Its clean stocked and fresh seafood for the low!!! I feel. A little guilty for leaving my old store.
No complaints about groceries but customer service (over counter checkout) worst ever seen. Rude employees, no appreciation at all. They need some training please.
Perfect place to shop for South Asian grocery
Looking forward for Indian specialty store in USA..this is a place to visit .. where u will get Everything u need to set up Indian cuisine from any state ..they have stocked up everything from north, east, South and east ..tamarind to kokum, gram flour to coconut, Rosogolla to kaju katli ..one stop for everything deshi in videsh 🌎🥰
Good, but price is no low, its the same as in other Indian stores. Sweets are like a dollar less compared to other Indian stores, otherwise everything else is priced in par with other stores only
It was good. Prices and collection are reasonable. It closes early.
My name is Charlotte. I sometimes go to Patel. I have not been there since covid 19. I went to purchase some some Red label tea. I did not see hand sanitizer. I have never had any problem going there before. They were two cashier that was very rude. I was using my credit card to pay for my purchases. They said, It did not work. So I use my second credit card and was told that it did not work. I did not w ant to argue. I use my debit. One of them left their station to see if my debit was legit. No social distance on her part. The whole matter was embarrassing. I have descendants that are from India. They did not act like that. Praying! C. Sowels
Strong gross smells here.
Just like any other grocery store but the plus is they are well organized and maintained. Their own made rotis are awesome
Not a bad store- almost always have items I look for. Even during covid lockdowns last year, they had everything you needed. It’s always crowded though no matter when you go there.
The lady on the front cashier is so rude. Customer service is really bad. She put the grocery on the bag and just throw in-front of me. Worst experience ever in Indian store.
I came 5 minute earlier but they didn’t let me go
Bought teenday several months ago cut them all rotten Bought again now same result
Love it friendly people
Excellent conditions of groceries and helpful manager ! I visit every Saturday for groceries and get everything I want in this store .Everything is well organised and clean.
Fresh vegetables alwaysStaff is really helpful to find productsSamosa are best till date I hadGreat variety of indo/pak and Nepalese products available In wide range
Display price and scan price are different.
They have not handsoap in the restroom 🚻 during this corona time very bad
I usually visit here for my grocery.Fresh vegetable with reliable price.Helpful employees and it’s very easy to shop here.👍
Noon on a friday. It was our first time here so we have a sample of the roast beef. The Roast beef is so juicy and paired with their lovely garlic mash potatoes. Their side salad wasnt all that great its just lettuce, tomato and chopped carrots. I also got the grilled chicken and my girlfriend got the grilled blackened chicken. They werent bad just on the dry side. The sides we both got were black eyed peas, cabbage, carrots, corn, green beans, and fresh greens. They were all alright not something to talk about. Last thing was the bread and butter, it was fluffy and soft and good! Overall it was alright and gets packed.
Speedy cashier service and reasonable prices
The quality of the food items is always good and its always easy to fine all the items and its clean nd properly organised....!!
The freshness of the vegetables is very badd, the onions had fungus and were rotten
Nice variery of rice and I like the fact they almost always have okra. Their coconuts look more natural then the big chain stores. The fresh chapatis are also good. Great place for Indian whole foods.
Good place to go. Lots of choices and good price as well. Helpful employees too. Kudos!
Please update your hours on holiday at least on the same day. It always says open (hours may differ) . Thats not helpful always have to come to closed store
They need to keep the area outside the store clean, there is always some trash laying around.
I came 2 minute earlier but they didn’t let me to go for shopping they told the has been closed it was unfair
You will find everything here. Just make sure you dont get overcharged for anything and always check your receipts after shopping. They charged me some extra dollars for some of the items. So better beware. Otherwise its a very nice place for Indian grocery.
I like shopping here!! Experience is goodThank you
Be warned! you may find Cockroaches, fungus in many items at Patel. And when you go and tell them they will argue and disapprove you.
Typical Indian grocery store. Can find everything at a affordable price. The low rating is for the attitude shown by the cashiers/checkout people. Most of the cashiers are angry and very rude. They will not even smile or greet. Just recently I went to stand in one of the counters. I didn’t notice that lane light was off. The lady angrily shouted lane is closed and threw the lane closed sign on to the carousel. I mean...come on, is that how you interact with your customer.Another time, lady scanned all the items, swiped the card and gave the receipt and turned her back towards me, looking the other way while leaning against the counter. Turning your back is showing disrespect. Is too much to ask to smile and acknowledge our existence. Dread going to this store to interact with the mean checkout personnel. Please change your attitude and learn to be pleasant to the customer. Goes a long way in valuing people.
If I could I would never give a single star..worst customer service, employees and manger are always in bad mood.. they response as if we are asking stuffs for free.. always get irritate to answer the questions..... every time I go very bad experience...area manger says one thing and manager says another thing and cashier never knows about anything for the same thing..I know time is crazy right now but I don’t think they need to be mad with customers... I understand the situation because I run the business too.. if you guys explain people will understand so no need to be rude with your customers...
Loved shopping here. Store was clean, all the products well organized. Vegetables were fresh. You will pretty much find everything you need here.
Great place!
I have been going to this Patel Brother store since a month. Went once a week.I am from Houston and came to Dallas because my daughter got diagnosed with cancer stage four and is in hospital.Bought a few Dal Makhani by Deep last week. When I opened the first box it was filled with fungus. I took a picture and took back the boxes to the store and the supervisor and staff was very rude and unhelpful. I am already in so much pain and their inhuman behavior was utterly disappointing. I did not go there to get money back but to let them know about it, and their attitude was very bad.If the product is not moving fast enough due to COVID they need to dispose off the old stalk and not try to make money out of it.I do not recommend this store to anyone who is looking for fresh healthy and good food.I did try to see if I could attach the picture so you all know that this is absolutely true.
Good selection and reasonable pricing.
You will find anything that you want from India . Home made pickles very delicious. Their samosas at the deli needs improvement. They have fresh chapati all kinds of vegetables & it’s fresh
Awesome place with kind and helpful Indian staff and customers. However, it seems most of the Mexican men working there who stock the shelves are usually unhelpful and very lazy. If you cant find something, they are unwilling to offer any real assistance. Just ask one if the Indian employees at the front register if you need help. Otherwise, it was my first time there, and overall a good experience.
Youd find most Indian groceries - vegetables, snacks, frozen items, spices and other cooking ingredients here. No fresh meat though. But if youre in the Dallas Fort Worth area and looking for Indian groceries save yourself some time and shop here. Their collection of items is much more comprehensive than any other store in this area.
Stale vegetables. May be because I shopped Sunday evening so it was an old stock. Not sure but nothing was fresh.
Has most of the Indian spices and food items. I think its important to check prices for ordinary grocery items with your local grocery store as some items are pricey!
You can get all indian and some nepali stuff here but make sure to check expiration dates. Also there are a lot of overpriced stuff. Other than that its nit too bad.
Nice place for Indian grocery. Close to other shopping places as well. Their prices are good comparatively and they carry almost everything you can think of or may be more than that. Good selection of fresh vegetables and snacks. Now they make fresh chapati, curries and snacks. Usually clean but crowded at times.
Did not find gas cookers. Staff needs more awareness. Some communications / language issues.
Always best customer support
Nice grocery shop to purchase Indian masala powder & pooja items. The stocks are fresh and has lot of options to chose from in a particular item. It has good quality mug/plastic buckets/cutlery items.
Best place for Indian and Pakistani groceries. Dont buy their yellow small mangoes, buy green and pink bigger mangoes
Its big and variety of items in groceries. Fresh chapatis are very good. Good service too. Strongly recommend it.
This place has everything we need. The location in Frisco and McKinney doesnt have some of the Nepali items, but this place has everything we need. Past and fresh products for everyone. Keeps of the great work !!
I love this store until the other day after they show discrimination towards my husband. My husband is a caucasian and I am an Indian. My husband went to patel brothers one of these days to help me out, unfortunately he didn’t have mask so he asked them, whether he can buy a mask from them. They said they don’t have it. So he had to use a cloth around his face. After he done shopping and coming out, he sow the same guy in the front giving mask for free to all Indians who are coming in while they say they don’t have mask.HOW RUDE IT IS? Discrimination in front of your eyes. It hurts me more than him, knowing our culture can be this rude.
Alot of expired item
Nice place but we could not find a person to talk to. We needed mortar and pestle but only found pestle on the shelves. So we wanted to ask if there was mortar too but could not find anyone to talk to. A lady simply said, not my department. Since I was visiting from Kansas City, maybe I was looking for the Midwest hospitality.
Competitive price. Great inventory. Clean and good service. Fresh vegetables.
This is last time I m coming to this location. Customer service is below zero and it’s not 1st time .. they need to hire good people give them better training.. I will never recommend anyone to come this location..
You find almost everything at Patels. Pricing is competitive too. Could get crowded during evening time
For many years I went to Patel Brothers in Jackson Heights, in NYC. I was pleased to find this Patel Brothers when I moved to Dallas. I have been to other Indian grocery stores here, and I like this one best so far. The prices are good, the products are good, the people are friendly. You DO have to check the best by dates - packaged food is sometimes still on the shelf past that date, which is why I gave them 4 instead of 5 stars. To be fair, I have that same problem in lots of grocery stores, from Tom Thumb to Jerrys to Patel Bros,
Its great place for all type of indian grocery, spices and other fmcg products.
I believe in time and punctuality. What happen was the google time says the store closes at 9:30 PM. As per i know they should take the last customer till 9:30 PM, but these people dont take seriously. I was there at 9:12PM and they said its already closed. I showed them the time in the google I hope they will learn to respect peoples time.
Everything used in an Indian home is available here. Spices, flavorful teas and good quality Indian frozen food (chapatis, curries, sweetdishes etc). Good staff to help. But it gets very crowded on weekends.
Poor customer care - Never ever buy from Patels, any of them. Had been here always when we visit Dallas, the workers doesnt even have a sense of customer care. They are very rude. The products that they sell under their own brand name are bad and outdated. One of the billing person(She) was so rude, she dumped some of the twigs out of the mint that was bought, saying it was more for a bunch and dropped it in the trash. Im not giving my money to them anymore!
The product has mold inside it. Went back to the store and Got a refund but that product not suppose to be there for sale
The best place to buy fresh Indian vegetables. Very reasonable prices. Spices and rice bags are of good quality. Lines are long over weekends but they have the fastest checkout cashiers without a doubt. They have similar store locations around Dfw.
Good Indian Grocery shop. Fresh Vegetables but need to have more brands to choose from than having only swad
I love that they have a variety of items to buy and their store is big as well.
I love going here. Awesome hair products. Their produce is always fresh.
All indian stuff is available!!! Whatever you name it they have it available!!! The vegetables section is always crowded though. But all in all they have fresh vegetables and all kind of Indian grocery available at a reasonable price. Sometimes, they also offers free tea to their customersRecommended 👍🏻
Good selection. Staff could work on being a bit more helpful.
Havent been there in years, but it was a favorite place to stop and explore. The employees were always so helpful.I wish they wouldnt have moved.
I went there looking for stainless steel tumblers. I found and bought several.
Good place to get veggies. The price point is awesome for fresh stuff. The place is a bit crowded but the selection is worth it. The parking situation can be a bit annoying but not too bad. From my interactions the staff was friendly and helpful.
Walking in and the place looks like trash! The cleanliness of the store is unimaginable! Store managers need to step and do their part!!
Have to be watchful of the expiry dates and the quality of food products sold here. Bought a 20lb bag of basmati rice which has a stale smell to it. Also other products like coffee powder etc are expired and still sold here. I lost the receipt and also live far from this store and couldn’t return them. Would never go back to this store again
You can get most of the necessary Indian grocery/snacks in this place.Quality of the items could have been better, but yes every Indian accepts it gladly and loves patel just for keeping the Indian sentiments alive. One request to the store manager/owner - if possible please take additional care about the stores hygiene and cleanliness
The best store in the area for Indian food necessities. They supply my addiction to Haldirams Panchratan and ParleG biscuits (cookies). Also lots of prepackaged Indian food, even the stuff you should cook yourself like Palak Paneer.
They have very good prices, especially on the samosas. The store, though as big as a super market still feels small and very local. The parking lot is clean and well lit. I did get the impression that not all the workers spoke English or could understand me, but it might have been a cultural thing.I liked that I could pay with my phone and the check was ready with 3 registers staff. I was in and out quickly. Will Feinstein so here again.5 stars if the employees communicated better.
Update the new hours. I asked the guy standing at door almost 10 times that if they are closed since I was confused because there were many customers inside. I even asked with the hand gestures. He just ignored me and didnt bothered to answer. There were atleast 25 cars which were just parking and more were coming in. Really disappointed.
Every cashier girl/ bagger looks miserable. They don’t greet the customer and hardly said thank you. Horrible experience!!!I love this store but Mr. Patel you should hire some joyful people.🙄🙄🙄
Very good store for Indian food supplies. Both fresh and grocery items.
Really like shopping for most of my Indian needs here. Sometimes they have sales. I recommend shopping during non busy hours bc evening its packed!
