Too many items are gone past best before dates. I personally informed about few expired products sitting in racks, but when I visited few days later they are still sitting in a same place.Updates after 6 months: I still see expired products in racks. When I informed the employees I got a reply as we are under staffed. And we cant check everything . Be aware of these stuffs. Please watch for expiration date.

Good Indian Groceries shop, with Nice Indian Vegetarian food options.

Good variety, has little restaurant with authentic food we enjoyed. Most staff friendly and helpful except for one could use refresher. I bought very pretty and good quality dress. Might clean it up some but overall good. We will return.

Not at all a good experience with the service. Bought fruits and vegetables, outside looks good but inside damaged. Happened several times and management didn’t agree to exchange or refund. Waste of money and time. Other groceries are much better even if they are bit far to go. Health is more important than spending extra miles to get fresh produce.The only good is having chaat house inside. It’s not authentic but it is good.

Its very convenient for where I live and almost always has the things I need. My one complain is that their fruits are wax polished. I have to go all the way to Tom thumb (close to Taj) to get fruits. All in all..they have great prices and the presence of a chaat center inside makes it all the more attractive for a quick bite. The greens are not fresh!

Taj Grocers provides you with a great choice of Indian groceries required for everyday Indian cooking. I once complained about the roots that were on the shelf beyond their expiry date, management took the action in front of my eyes and removed every pack that was beyond the best to use date. Lately, I have become more critical, but havent come across the similar issue.

Nice place to find indian groceries and also to taste some Indian food. Prices are nominal and people are nice. U can find multiple Indian vegetables. Generally go there for weekly groceries.

Love this store. Fresh produce, clean isles and good food at Taj chaat! Plus ladies can get their eyebrows done inside the store while your there! very convenient!

As many of the customers already mentioned this store has many expiry dated items. Otherwise this store has some good variety of stuffs. And I like the fresh produce here, and go over the weekend to get some discounts.

Overall a decent place. As others have pointed out, check the expiration date of the items. Way less crowded than Patel Brothers or India Bazaar

Close to residential area. Has basic veggies, fruits and Indian groceries. Also has a small parlour for basic services and a small boutique for traditional Indian wears. There is also a mini restaurant kind of hang out where one can get food, coffee, chat items etc.

Good quality produce, better than the other Indian stores in the area. Well mannered customer service. I once had a complain, and they immediately took care of it. They also have free tea and biscuits.

Worst shopping experience: may be ran into bad employee, but when I wanted to return items, simply told us cant return since dont have password. When tried to confirm if this was store policy, simply walked out on us.Ultimately asked to show us the policy, then agreed to process returns !Never expected treatment like this in chain of grocery stores... Hope owners take care of this.

I wish I could give Taj negative 5 stars !!! I mean the customer service is always a glaring flaw at this store. Ive found one person out of a dozen or so employees that will show you any respect as a CUSTOMER. Forgive me for not pulling my punches but listen to me closely. Straight up, when I walk in the store its as if theyve never encountered a black man. Im sorry I had to put it out there for those interested in visiting our neighborhood grocer. Get with the times people welcome to 2018. Ill stick with Wa-Mart for now thanks but NO THANKS.

Forget about customer service, they feel as though they are doing favor to the customer. This store is in walkable distance to my apartment, I used to avoid it for its high prices but with the kind of experience I got yesterday from the lady at the counter, I would rather drive to India Bazar or Patel brothers or even Walmart as the other person suggested. Very insensitive to customers. Funny thing, of all the times I went to the store, I never got greeted by any of the staff members.

Taj Grocers is definitely an option for people in hurry. As it is usually less crowded, one is sure to get through the billing soon enough. But as they only have two counters, shopping at peak hour or during weekend is bound to take more time standing in the line for billing.

This place doesnt even deserve a star AT ALL! Customer Service is at an all time low.I went into the store just to purchase a few items, got to the cash register no hi or hello the young lady even took the money she owed me and placed it on the counter as if I have a disease. The thing that threw me over was that the gentleman before me got the best customer service and even got his money handed to him in his hand. Wow! Just put up a no blacks allowed sign if you dont want us in your store!

There are many other better Indian store available near by. Fresh produce is not very good but otherwise decent stock.

People at billing counter have some patience and knowledge on what you are offering to customers they are not buying anything for free.

Vegetables are fresh but some snacks were old stock and they didnt have manufacturing date and expiry date, so watch before buy snack items

I don’t have a good experience with Taj groceries. I bought vegetables for two times. They were rotten inside when I tried to use them next day. This happened for over 3 times and they didn’t even agreed to exchange.I prefer India Bazzar and Patel Brothers.

Groceries and vegetables are not bad but what I did not like was bhelpuri in chat house was made with NO peanuts instead it has chick peas. Come on I have never seen one bhelpuri with chick peas.

This store stinks. Worst part is that they keep so called “fresh chappati” but they are not fresh. I literally purchased the roti and while eating they were smelling. You will end up w/ stomach ache or food poising.Atleast don’t serve stinky food and call it as ‘fresh’. Avoid this place. Owner should read this and take an action.

For shopping grocery items its good but not for food items. If you donot know anything about indian snacks then you can give it good rating.Last time I ordered pani puri and mixed chaat. In pani puri masala I asked them to make it spicy, but they simply gave me cube boiled potatoes and chana, and about mixed chaat its waste money.

Taj is the best choice for all the Indian spices, rice & vegetable needs. Its not a huge place like Patels but definitely a clean place to shop for all your grocery needs.

On the expensive side compared to other Indian stores. I liked the chat counter in store, you can get to taste right North India.

Thawed frozen items. How can u set the temperature so low that ur frozen items thaw? Also they made a billing mistake where they charged me 79.99 instead of 7.99, I went back there and they acknowledged the mistake, took down my information but i never got my money back

I love it that they have spiritual books like Bhagavad Gita As It Is, Srimad Bhagavatam, and Sri Isopanisad. This store is very popular but they always have many people at the register so the lines go quickly.

Staff is always friendly but sometimes food articles with expired dates were not weeded out and we bought it (though when informed later they replaced it promptly)

Toomsuba Mississippi has the worst coverage actually they have no coverage no WiFi no satellite no nothing and its very very concerning being a truck driver truck drivers need down time and they need access to the internet and if you cant get it thats a problem its discouraging its stressful and makes it the next day harder

They only have selected products which is not even half the range of what Patel Bros carry. And the staff and billing counter suck. Seriously. And they dont even have MAGGI.I have been waiting in the line for over 25 mins and they even have the courtesy to apologize.Such a disappointment!

Think twice before buying something here. All the fruits and vegetables are waxed.. The freezer is purposefully kept low to save cheap bucks and everything inside is thawed, when i complained about the same, 4 girls stood like forced bar dancers without any response. Think of your health, your kids health before stepping in.

Most items are from India and at least half dollar more than others grocery.
