Amazing recreated Austrian park and home! Loved the umpteenth century church and the park grounds but the piec dresistance is the CHOCOLATE! Best Ive ever tasted and theyve won many awards. The servers are in authentic Austrian dress and it adds to the atmosphere. Ive lived in Europe and visited Austria many times and it was as good as!! Highly recommended taking the children to see how chocolates are made.
What a charming place! This was one of our stops on our tour with Customized Tours, and we had such a nice time here. The shop and surrounding grounds are so beautiful, it almost makes you feel like youre in a small European town.Their chocolates are such treats! We were visiting from out of town, so we ended up buying some souvenirs for home. Their chocolate truffles were so delightful, and were perfectly smooth and had just the perfect amount of sweetness.Would return!
Cozy and sweet. My husband loves dark chocolate candys, my son always gets non dairy ice cream, and milk chocolate for me. So good
Havent been here since I was a child. Was so excited to come visit and get my favorite 🍬🍭 candies I never forgot. I was saddened that the candy I came from Texas to get was no longer available. I loved the themed outfits but was unable to get a photo bc the manager sent her on break. We felt a little rushed after our sales lady left. But, the candy is exceptional...all $300 worth! Mom swept the shelf of all the pecan rolls. Dont worry, they have more.
Such a fun experience for the family. It was a lot of fun letting the kids get to do their own thing and be in control of their chocolate making experience. The tour was good as well and was very interesting to walk through and see Julius Boehms home.
I would give Boehms Candies 6 stars, if I could. They still produce confections in the old Bavarian way. You are nearly overwhelmed by the sculptures and the garden or the window tour and you havent even entered the building! The chocolates and other confections are amazing in their presentation and the knowledge of the staff, dressed in the kind of clothes originally worn by confectioners. Regular or sugar free, soft and gooey or made to withstand hot summer weather. They even offer ice packs to get them home intact. Just go there!
Definitely one of the cutest chocolate shops in the area. With a lot of variety in chocolate from different locations and hand made ones. I would suggest this stop, even the exterior facade of the building is something else. They have a very adorable garden outside.Oh. And their chocolate is fantastic!
Thank you blippi for making an episode about this authentic chocolate factory. It’s an amazing place, I will definitely come back again.
Bohems is an unexpected treasure! Its a candy manufacturer, but the grounds are set up like a Swiss chalet. Hearing the story of the founder is fascinating. The tour is brief and kind of interesting. It gives you the basics of how Boehms makes candies. Informative, but nothing earth-shattering. There are samples though, which are worth taking the tour for! The candy shop is great, and the staff are friendly. Definitely worth a stop if youre in the area.
This is a must stop place if you are in the area! The staff is friendly and helpful, the chocolates are sweet and dear (unpretentious), the environment is lovely. Youll feel like youre on a mini-Euro holiday as you browse the salted caramel chocolates, the special-sourced dark chocolates and the fun candies and gifts. They even have 50 cent postcards here if you want to share your experience the old fashioned way. I love this shop!
The BEST chocolate / chocolatier place in the greater Seattle area. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the old Bavarian style property is fun to wander through. The store has just about anything a person could want when it comes to sweets, and they even make some killer ice cream!** fyi** some of the best stocking stuffers can be found here**
Great little treasure right in the middle of Issaquah. Theres a park, small church and wonderful handmade chocolates, plus dog treats. Absolutely a must see
Great little stop during our excursion from Seattle. Wonderful chocolate but dont forget to explore the grounds.
This is my wifes favorite naughty food store, because its all sugar laden. We were driving by anyway, so we stopped for her. Then I found the sugar free section... Would you believe sugar free turtles, peanut clusters, etc? I was amazed at how good they were! Highly recommend, and they have a website and will ship to you!
Absolutely gorgeous hidden gem! So much history and amazing chocolate!
Any trip to Issaquah isnt complete without a side trip to Boehms. Covid protocols have canceled my go to Assorted Brokens, but no problem, those dark chocolate caramels were wonderful!
We went there because of the blippi box if you cant guess, we have children lol. The shop was pretty small, but a great selection. We didnt know what half of it was. But everything we got we all thoroughly enjoyed. The outdoor garden is great to sit with your kids so they can eat and you can clean them up before getting in the car.
What can you say about the kid in the candy shop??? SO many different kinds of chocolates to choose from! Theres something for everyone here. Worth the drive to get such good chocolate!
Fun local history, hand made delicious confections and a variety of gift items. Usually has a flower stand out front for people who want flowers and chocolates during summer.
My childhood memories of Boehms Chocolates go back to 1967 (?)..I grew by Greenlake and boehms was 1 1/2 blocks away on 65th and Ravenna. Its not mention in its history..(I think this was the 1st store!). My mother would give us $2 and wed get a white bag of chocolates. Ive been to the Issaquah store over the years, the Greenlake store hold childhood memories and the start of liking exquisite Chocolates from around the World.
Absolutely wonderful place to visit if you want really good quality chocolate. Very unique place and very wonderful and friendly people. I highly recommend stopping by and checking out all the wonderful chocolates that they have. A very unique shop indeed.
The best chocolates, and such a great selection. The shop itself is so cute!
This place is a definite favorite for passing by, I hardly get to go, so when I do, its always really fun and cool! Id definitely recommend it!
Wonderfully themed to an alpine sweet shop, its best to go if you really like quality chocolate. A nice small private park and some areas where you can observe the chocolate-making process. If you dont like chocolate, youre probably here because youre with someone who is. There are non-chocolate items, but they are relatively few and mostly items that would be in chocolate (ex. Caramel).
Very cute little chocolate shop and their candy is fantastic! Our favorite YouTube star Blippi came here so it was a must for us haha
This place is such a gem of nostalgia. I dont know of anywhere in the USA that you can buy chocolates made in a Austrian, chalet replica. The chocolates are done in the European tradition. They even have 2, of the only 200, people who hand dip chocolate working for them. They offer some wonderfully unusual chocolates, such as balsamic vinegar truffles and hibiscus infused chocolate. You can also tour the former home of the founder as well as the facility or 5$ a person. So worth coming to Issaquah.
Had the feeling of visiting a quaint little shop in Switzerland. Love it.👍❤️
So many chocolates to choose from. The marzipan is my absolute favorite! We took the tour and it was quite delightful. The grounds are beautiful and landscaped. You can sit by a fountain in the shade and enjoy your chocolate in the garden. Water fountains spread out so you dont get to parched after enjoying your goodies. :-)
Well decorated store inside and out. There are windows where you can watch the candies being made. Its a delightful place.
This place is amazing as always. They are covid conscious. Masks are required, they limit the number of people in the store and they have one entrance and separate exit. Fantastic selection and delicious treats!
Was told mask 0 tolerance policy for infant I am sure a piece of cloth is going to protect from the worlds deadliest virus. Let alone anyone put a mask on a child needs their head examined
Candy was delicious and the staff was very helpful. A cool little candy shop. Be sure to wear your mask!
Great small little candy shop. It smells so great when you enter.
Best chocolate in Washington! Loved chocolate covered cherries and mints
OMG, this place was on or tour and we were so fortunate to get the tour. Every see a 30# chocolate dolphin? We did. But the highlight was a few free sample chocolates. Just enough to make you want more from their awesome shop. I told the wife to just ask for two of each but she kept me in check but we still walked out with about 30 pieces of the most delicious dark chocolate we ever had. They do have the standard milk chocolate thats very tasty but why bother when you can get the dark. Were back in Texas now and only have a few of those best of the best chocolate covered raisins left. Do you ship to Texas? Please, please!
Great place to take the kids especially if they love Blippi
My dog & I love to share the dippedI get the nuts & he loves the ice cream
A local treasure. The staff at the store are quite helpful. The candy tastes awesome. You can get your traditional chocolate flavors or go for more exotic combinations. They do a great job of keeping plenty of space for customers in their small shop.
Great chocolate! Amazing experience!
Been going here since I was a kid. Fabulous chocolate 🍫
Best chocolate ever! And my gosh! The chocolate covered coffee beans are to die for!

Really good chocolate candies! They have a wide variety of regular and more sophisticated flavors. And they have my favorite, which is sea foam (or honeycomb), dark chocolate candy. Yum! 😋
A must stop! Known all around the area for quality and selection of candies. Especially known for their chocolate, there is plenty to choose from in either dark or milk chocolate, and sizes range from individual sample size all the way up to one pounds chunks! Buy one kind or various sizes of sample packs. Cashew and Almond Clusters, Turtles, Salted Caramels, each in your choice of dark or milk chacolate..., just to name a few choices - Mmmm...mmm!
Great chocolate and many types.
When you walk inside prepare to get hit with the smell of chocolate ! its a bit pricy but delicious, and Im always happy to pay a little more for local, handcrafted goods.
Chocolate smells amazing while shopping.
I really enjoyed visiting Boehms Candies! It is a Bavarian theme factory with tours available. Dont miss out on the cute side and back yard. In the back, they have a chappel, statues, a water fountain and the cutest building for a restroom. The side yard has a nice little garden area along with dog statues next to the retail store. The staff is friendly and helpful. Pricing is comparable to other Chocolate factories and their sweets are amazing! They have boxes of chocolate like what Macys has for their frangos BUT I think Boehms chocolates are better than the frangos!!!
Hand-made chocolates and fresh cut flowers fir Mothers Day!
The best chocolate on the west coast. Fun pieces. Chocolate alligator, football. Interesting heritage and grounds.
They get rid of a lot of good candy. Sence the covid 19 happen they will get more stars when they get more to choose from very limited. They got 5 stars from me before this stuff happened. 2 things they showed they had but when I ordered them they didnt have them very unhappy yesterday
Yuum! I always get the milk chocolate lemon creme. Ive been stopping here for 30 years going over Snoqualmie pass.
Top quality chocolates from a local icon! Much better than many of the more commercial brands. The truffles and sea salt caramels are especially tasty.
They still have the best chocolates and candy! Curbside pickup for online orders or you can go inside. One-way traffic pattern and social distancing. Lots of help finding what youre looking for.
Funky throw back to the past, when candy was a real treatThe 72% with cocoa nibs was tasty.
The most delicious dark chocolate Ive ever had.
Shipped a box to Michigan. Kid loved eating the treats along with Blippi! Delicious chocolates!
Best chocolates anywhere .
This unforgettable aroma of cocoa beans every time you visit this magical chocolate house 😋 🍫
Good drinks, good people, outdoor seating, good food, and pull tabs. What more could you want
Love Boehms!! Wonderful items and fantastic service.
Yum...best chocolate 🍫😋😍
As usual, everything is very delicious. I recommend it highly.
Delicious premium chocolates! A little on the pricey side but not your everyday treat!
Absolutely beautiful store. The chocolate is of course a tad more expensive than youll find in the candy aisle at your local grocer, but thats the price of quality. Great place to find a sweet gift for your loved ones.
Awesome little shop. Grew up on their chocolate. So good. The Mount Rainier fudge is a local favorite. I stop by every time I visit home.
The customer service was superb, the whole environment was enchanting... a chocolate lovers paradise 5 stars, do recommend.
This place will make any angry or sad child to smile and be happy. Ice cream is delicious and and they have a huge variety of candies.
Proper old-school highway stopoff. Lovely chocolates.
Fun place to visit with amazing chocolates. How can you not give this 5 stars! Enjoy
The best chocolate in Washington!
Super sweet employees.. gotta have a mask though. No exceptions. Which is totally fine.
Rum truffles...yummy!
Best chocolate in the pnw
Delicious fresh candy. Love the beauty of the place in Issaquah.
I will forever have a deep love for Boehms. Visually enchanting for all ages and the chocolate is the best Ive had this side of the Atlantic. The staff are so kind and make my day every time that I visit. They also have lovely grounds for walking around and an informative window tour. Cant wait until they open for classes again!
Been going here since I was a child. Every time we would take family trips across state we would stop and Ive made it a tradition for my kids and myself as well (: love them!
