After going through 4 sets in 14 years, we were determined to learn just what goes into a long lasting, high quality piece of living room furniture.For a long lasting sofa/sectional, you should look for: 8 way hand tied springs, kiln dried hardwood frame, and cushions that are both replaceable (not sewn onto the sofa) and refillable (because any cushion material thats comfortable will eventually need to be replaced.) Solid construction is key to a long lasting sofa.We went to all of the major furniture stores in the area, spoke with countless sales reps, and left each time feeling dissatisfied. Often, a sales rep didnt know their product and couldnt tell me anything about its inner materials and construction. Reps at PB with 18 years of experience selling their furniture? Couldnt tell me a thing.Right off the bat, Mitch (owner of Leathers) greeted us and pummeled my senses with his New Yorkers personality. We told him we didnt think leather was our best choice, due to having two cats. He was quite abrasive with his insistance of how wrong we were. My eyebrows raised quite high, I tell you. But he begged me to hear him out, so we did.What we learned from Mitch was incredible, and he knew exactly what we needed. He was able to show us actual models of the interior construction of his sofas, went over each material and how/why its chosen, down to the manufacturer and where they source their materials.He was patient with us as we considered what we wanted, as I was personally quite picky and conflicted on color options.We eventually landed on a beautiful Campio Legacy Italian leather sectional. Our sectional is stunning and everything we wanted.Surprisingly, a cats claws dont really puncture thick, high quality leather, and the superficial scratches just rub out! We keep them clipped regularly, of course.Who knew.

I was overwhelmed when I first walked in because there are so many options. Find Mitch and Cynthia. They will help you filter through the selections. They are quick to grasp your style. The amount of time they spent selecting pieces, fabric, colors was unexpected and appreciated. They took the time to check pricing to make sure I was within my budget which meant a lot with 3 little ones at home. My littlest joined me on the trip, and they didn’t even flinch as he rearranged all the pricing on the furniture 🤦‍♀️

Staff was thoroughly engaged in making sure I would be happy with my purchase. Many styles to choose from, and then you can pick the upholstery and wood finish.

We purchased a leather couch, love seat and matching leather ottoman from Leathers five years ago and have had nothing but problems with the furniture. Fortunately, for the first several issues (i.e. flaw in the leather, sagging cushions that wouldn’t stay upright) that came up we bought the leather protection warranty and were able to get them resolved (which was NOT an easy process). Once the warranty was up, the stitching on the side of the couch started coming un-done and when we contacted Leathers about this they were no help in providing a solution since the warranty was up. In the last year or so all the paint on the leather has started peeling on the sofa and love seat and it looks awful. For what we spent on this furniture we have been SO dissatisfied with the quality and expected much more, not to mention expected the furniture’s life span to last longer than 4 years. I’ve had a couch from Costco that has held up significantly better than our stuff from Leathers.

Stopped in after last purchase 14 years ago. Found some chairs we liked but getting them to our new home is close to impossible. Customer service is non existent. Looks like the owner Mitch and his employees dont consider the needs of their customers. They were not able to return phone calls or set up time for pick up.Mitch didnt seem to care. Good thing I know a good amount of people in Sammamish and Issaquah. They will all be asking about the move.
