Friendly staff but selection isnt great. I was hoping/expecting to geek out over a trove of fun kitchen gadgets and unique finds, but there wasnt much. More linens and dated looking decor than I prefer to shop for.
My family and I were having a girls day shopping at Gilman village and decided to check out the Kitchen store. We were interested in several items, however the sales clerk was rude and condescending so we left. Why she targeted us we don’t know as we were initially excited to be there. Horrible customer service experience. We aborted that shop and decided to spend elsewhere. I would like to support local shops but this is one of the reasons Amazon does well!
The owner is incredibly friendly and they always have unique kitchen and gift offerings. I love the silicon lids / pot covers that they have. The kitchen gear is high quality and youll only need to buy it once if you buy from here.
This small shop is in Gilman village and has every accessory you would every need for your kitchen. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Shop could use more lighting but its a very quaint stop over.
The lady who owns this store is so sweet and attentive. I pick up my turkey roasting pan here every Thanksgiving. Five stars.
Rhonda is s friendly and knowledgeable. I had a list of items and she had exactly what I needed including a ricer that can double as a squeezer for hash brown potatoes. Highly recommend this friendly option over ordering online.
I love cooking and baking. They have great supplies and wonderful customer service..
I went by the store today as I had never experienced the Gilman Village scene. A few moments after I walked in I was asked Sir, Is there something I can help you find? I replied No, Im just browsing to which I received an awkward hmmm...Shortly thereafter I found a small $4 item that I was interested in getting for my son. (a budding gourmet) I snapped a pic to text to my wife to see if she agreed that our son would like it, to which I received a sharp SIR, you are NOT allowed to take photos in here!I told her I was just texting my wife to get her approval on the purchase and again You are NOT allowed to take photos and you need to erase that picture! Its copyright infringement! She claims. (taking a picture of a $4 spatula is not a copyright issue.)I erased the picture and told her politely that I would take my business elsewhere then. She seemed to think that was OK.But the take away is: the owner is rude, aggressive, and kinda weird. And the products were all pretty expensive.
The sales clerk here is so horrible! She was rude to four separate customers in a 15 minute span of time. Insults, bullying into purchases, chastising an elder, and classism. I used to work retail- I know it can be frustrating and customers can be horrible. But these people were all perfectly polite and friendly! Its a shame, because personally I am never coming back here. I love to support small, local business, but the absolute disrespect for fellow human beings is disgusting. I would be ashamed to have someone that rude working in my store.
Its beautiful little kichen shop but you would think especially during the holidays they would have boxes for those beautiful exspensive brakable items. If they did it would of been 5 star.
Been to this place twice and both times the owner at the front counter makes me crazy. Shes bossy and complains about people taking photos in her store to buy online.Im a food professional and Ill probably take my business elsewhere. Not enjoyable to shop there. Id rather go to sur la table or amazon.
Very knowledgeable owner, good prices
Pleasant, personable very helpful. If they dont have it, they will order it or help you find it!
Small, but well stocked.
