These guys do a great job at hooking up subs and amps! Bought a pioneer 1200 watt and hooked it up never worked but I called and a gentleman answered the phone and I went back to the store he replace my fuse and boom! Problem solved!!! I tuned my Gains and it sounds great you guys rock!!!! 5 stars all day highly recommend

I went to HiWay HiFi February 24th to purchase a dash cam front/rear system and have it installed. What a great group of people. Took time to explain the system after installing. I had a remote car starter installed in my Mercedes Benz. They did a very good job. I was able to pick which transmitter I wanted and they gladly programmed it to my car. Before going to this business, my car had the original, factory installed AM/FM/Cassette system with speakers that crackled. Treated my (project) car and its issues better than the last 3 mechanics! Came in to install high powered auxiliary lights which they made custom brackets for and executed a super clean install- left with my main headlights properly aimed, exterior pieces addressed and overall happy with the price and time it took.Its when they solve the few nagging issues here and there you know youve encountered people who care about the work they do and your satisfaction.

Terrible terrible place, 100% would not recommend! I went to get a remote start put in and was told to come at 1 and it would be done by 3. Well, it wasn’t done until 5. 4 HOURS of sitting waiting with no explanation of why it was taking so long. When I asked the older gentleman at the front desk how much longer, he was VERY rude. I got quoted over the phone one price and they tried to charge me $30 more than that quote, AND they disconnected all of my Sirius XM radio and broke the Aux cord so I had to buy a new one and hook it all back up. Very unprofessional and poorly run business, do not go here if you want good work, efficient work done!!!!

These guys are great very friendly, and honest. I walked in with no idea what I’m looking at when it comes to audio equipment and when I inquired about certain equipment they could have easily sold it to me just to clear there inventory like most businesses would have done knowing I wouldn’t have liked it, but not these guys I explained what I was looking for out of my car audio and they steered me into the right direction that was both affordable and of great quality. They are very knowledgeable, and professional and there work is very clean! And not to mention they are very flexible, I called last minute for install and they put me in same day with out hesitation or a complaint. Definitely a top tier business. Brian and Lee are class A gentleman. This shop (And Ive been to MANY audio stores, home and car) is absolutely top notch. Honest and kind salespeople is what you will find here; selling a wide range of audio and video equipment for home and car. I dont do car audio, but I am a well vested home audiophile and they sell excellent products here. Great prices, great service, and a friendly atmosphere. Hiway Hifi gets a 5/5 from me.

They had what I needed which was a deck kit for my Vibe. The salesman was quick and courteous.

I once tryed to install my own car radio. I got to the point of surrender n went to ask what I was doing wrong. The guy came out n finished the install for me for FREE.

I called in a few hours before I arrived (its a far drive for me to the location). I was given a quote of ~$150 for putting in a new radio into my car. When I arrived they doubled the quote price and would not honor the previous quote. I would not have driven to the location if they had told me the information upfront.

Top-notch experience. Ive very glad this store exists in Ithaca. They installed an audio system in our car with quality gear. I really appreciated the initial consultation, i.e. sitting with me in our old car and then the new car we just bought in order to gain an understanding of how we tend to use the stereo (music type, eq, volume) etc. This then led to a hassle-free, quick turnaround installation that was completed in a professional manner. All cables hidden neatly out of sight, custom box for the head unit in the glove-box, everything secure and neatly tucked away. I also checked prices on all the parts we ordered to crossreference with Crutchfield and other sites. All of their prices were comparable or lower, on all parts (amp, components, sub, etc). Recommended!

Experienced, skilled people! I thought the customer service at HiWay HiFi was excellent. I got both a realistic quote and immediate attention. My issue is that I am very sensitive to Bluetooth and my Honda 2015 CRV did not have a plug in wire option, only Bluetooth, and I dont have an IPhone that does work. IPod was supposed to work. There is even an icon for it on the console, but it did not. So, I consulted with Lee about what options I might have for installing a device in which I could plug my Samsung Note 3 and listen to my Audible books. I waited a week or so for an appointment and the installation was done in record time. The device is built in to what was a clear spot near the cup holders, connects to the radio, and then they added a switch to a dummy spot on the left side of the car a foot or so from the dashboard so I can listen to the radio without interference if Id like. The job was done in record time a bit under the estimate. Not only does the device work like a charm, but it also allows me to talk on my phone over the radio, much clearer than Bluetooth, something even HiWay HiFi didnt think would happen.

These days it is so hard to find businesses that truly focus on customer service, quality and integrity (my number 1 criteria). They (Chases father and others) have obviously been doing this for years but I only recently became aware of them. Chase is very knowledgeable on car audio. He gave me a single quote upfront that was very competitive (and eliminated the need for negotiating). Chase either handled all the questions and special requests personally or had me interact directly with the installers in the shop (who also demonstrated professionalism and expertise.). HiWay HiFi also has one of the best mobile soundboards and listening rooms in the area (and I live an hour away). I spent several hours on and off listening to my own music on a wide range of speakers, amps and head units. I was not pushed or pressured to hurry up or go towards any particular brand. I was somewhat surprised and very pleased at how close the listening experience was between the final installed system and my car. A previous experience with a mobile audio purchase at another shop did not offer this listening experience before installation and I was not as fortunate with the final sound. My only disappointment was in the receivers analog FM radio performance but Chase and the HiWay HiFi team effectively addressed this with an amplified antenna solution. I dont usually take the opportunity to provide reviews but I was SO VERY pleased with a shop like this that treated me like a real customer, offered a nice mix of product and levels, offered the quality sound room, and then followed through with every request. This is my newly discovered and favorite HiFi shop in the area.
