I rarely submit reviews, but in this case I must! Maguires service team is simply awesome. This week my family and I were visiting Ithaca from Philly when our Yukon had engine trouble. The technician assigned to our vehicle worked with a sense of urgency to diagnose and repair the problem, displayed excellent verbal communication and customer service. He got us on the road quickly and literally saved the day! If we lived in Ithaca there is no doubt wed be doing business with Maguire on a regular basis.

I went to a different dealership and received what I was hoping for. They advertise higher than normal trade in offers but dont deliver what is promised. The old bate and switch trick. Be aware!

I will never buy another car from Maguire. Sales people do not have a clue about anything. Managers dont care and will not help with a brand new car right from day 2 after purchase. Service is horrible. I had 2 re calls that Noone told me about until I went to a Toyota dealership in Ft Myers FL abd brought back the diagnosis which they did not believe. No attempt to be courteous or helpful and I could go on and on

I was not informed that you would be running two diagnostic test on my car for a sound from the steering wheel and a possible leak. I bought the extended warranty for this car and I guess I threw the money on the street. Thank you for taking such great care for your customer. Never again. I will find a dealer that is 41 miles away from you.

We took our Chevy Volt in more than two weeks ago for a repair related to the recent recalls. While our warranty will cover the repairs, they’ve had our car this whole time (it’s a safety issue), and have not given us a loaner vehicle. They also told us that they would not reimburse us for a rental car. We have to commute to work and have no other vehicle. Every time we call to ask about the progress, they tell us that there are no new updates, and that they are waiting on parts to arrive. I know that it can take time for parts to be shipped, and I know that the issues at Chevy corporate are not this particular dealership’s fault, but we have received no help or support in the past two weeks, and we have no transportation. They claim that they are “out of loaner vehicles” and that there is nothing they can do, even though the repairs are, again, a safety issue caused by the manufacturer.

The dealership is located at a very convenient location. Jim was a very friendly person. I was very glad throughout the entire dealership experience. I leased a 2020 bolt, which is a nice electric car. The best thing is that you can always go back to the dealership to get your electric car charged. They have a DC fast charger, and it is free for everyone!

Kyle, the sales manager, wasted our time after talking with him on the phone prior to arriving. We expressed interest in a particular vehicle and provided details of a trade in. Upon arrival, the vehicle was filthy, engine compartment area dirty, not detailed, and scratched all over (been on the lot over 80 days so not a new arrival either). He also dragged his feet in providing a trade in value, which he eventually low balled compared to KBB value, instant offers, and 2 other offers we already received. I recommend going else where for service. If needed, Ill post conversations, details, and receipts.

Called after multiple ads on radio. Was planning on trading in 2 cars for 2 new cars, but apparently the guy who answered the phone was too busy at 6pm on a Tuesday, as he told me. Good job on pushing away a large amount of business. It’s insane that it was a problem for him to deal with me. Guy should be disciplined and his manager should be as well.

Interested in purchasing a car from this dealership yesterday, but I live in Texas. I explained this to Amber, my salesperson, & told her I needed videos of the car when she called me at 8:30 am EDT. She said it was raining, but when it stopped she would send it to me. Checked the weather for Ithaca online & it wasnt forecast to rain at all that day or the days after, but ok. I called her again around 5 hours later because I hadnt received anything & she said she had been with another customer. While filling out the finance application online, I explained there were a few things in my credit history to note & she said her finance manager would look over them. Ultimately, she said she would let me know what the decision was & then never messaged me again. Poor customer service. Not sure if she was just lazy or has poor communication skills, but Im so glad I did not travel all the way to Ithaca for that treatment & I could just be disappointed for free right in Texas.

I had my car towed to the chevy dealership because I needed a new key made for it as mine was lost I was told it would take 4 days no more than six day due to weekend.Its now day 9 car still not done and have been told by service department that there is not eta on when the keys will even arrive to their location to be programed.

I have been buying cars for over 60 years and this buying experience was, hands down, the best I have ever had. Nick is a great representative of the Maguire dealership. He knows the Bolt EV inside and out. Nick is also very personable and knows how to provide the best customer service possiable. We made the deal via text and phone call. Very straight forward with pricing. No negotiation required to get the best deal anywhere I could find. Nick found an additional $750 for me in GM customer loyalty dollars after we had made the deal and we came there to close. Maguire Chevrolet in Ithaca, NY is a respond and moral business that I will certainly reccomend to anyone, any time. I cannot say as much for any other car dealer that I have had experience with.

I am an essential worker and was servicing elderly customers today when my Chevy started smoking at the right rear tire. Brian Vorhis at the repair desk not only got us a loaner on the spot, but also go the van in to see Chip, who diagnosed the problem and got us back into that van within a few hours. Very impressive. They seem to know what they are doing. I will not hesitate to patronize this store, and ask for this mechanic again.

My solstice had a bad AC compressor, a broken bumper, and the top had a tensioner whose plastic tensioner tab was broken. When I came in I also thought the transmission was bad and needed fixing, but they fixed the AC first and then figured out that was the cause of the problem and saved me a bunch of money. They also fixed the top for free. The new bumper looks great. I wish all dealerships were this good. Doug and Ed were both a pleasure to work with and walked me through my options and gave great advice.

Had a bumper replaced and painted and some repair work on my tailgate. Work was completed on time but when I went to pick up my vehicle I noticed major issues with the paint on both pieces. I was told to bring it back on Monday to be fixed. That Friday I called to find out the status on my vehicle only to be told they were behind and couldnt get my vehicle in for painting (had recieved no notice of delays prior to me calling), waited another week for repainting to get finished. Upon going to pick up my vehicle a second time the paint had been fixed on the tailgate but the bumper still had massive flaws (scratches, missing clear coat, particles in the paint ect). After having to leave my vehicle for a 3rd time the work was finallt completed.Maguires is capable of good work but poor supervision of work being let out the door makes me question if they will get any repeat buisness.

I came in for a NYS inspection and needed a few minor repairs to pass. There was a brief delay (less than a day) as we waited for the parts to come in.I appreciated the thorough analysis letting me know about things needed for my car, broken out between what was inspection arelated and what could be addressed later.The waiting area was clean with appropriate social distancing and plenty of hand sanitizer and complimentary masks (I had my own)It was a positive experience overall. Service is awesome!!!I took off a star for the labor cost per repair item. Charging 3xs the cost in labor for replacing a $5.23 plate light bulb, seemed a bit much!Definitely be prepared for the pinch of high labor costs.

Had service done on my truck. Brian from service charged me for a caliper core of $55.00 that he was going to send back. When I asked him about it he tried to double talk me. I ask for my core back, which was boxed up to be returned to the supplier. He still proceed to acted like this was my first day at a repair facility lol. I had to contact the general manager to get this taken care of. Watch your service bills. I do want to say that I have always had great service at the Volkswagen and Audi store

Chip was awesome. Did not treat me the way that many auto mechanics treat those of us who are NOT motor heads. He explained what a caliper was, why it was impacting my breaking performance, explained why my stable track sensor was coming on and off, what purpose THAT serves, and did not try to oversell the job. He finished a day earlier than we had thought he would, and the work seems to be as it is supposed to be (according to my motor head friend, Shawn) Price was exceptional!!!

Was impressed with service writer attempting to smooth out the initial confusion and I resolved issue by leaving car for the day. would have liked a Loaner but none available. probably a common problem.Worked out well a second time to replace exhaust pipe. Asked to keep exhaust pipe that was taken out but did not get it then decided din’t matter. Brian and Doug listened to my comments ordered parts got scheduling in place and the job done this time again in s timely fashion with minimum hassle.Next is for a switch and shifter replacement We will see how it goes then.

Took way too long for answers, weren’t willing to work with me on the price/value of trade in. Tried hiding extra money within the loan amount hoping I wouldn’t notice. Test drive had NO gas, almost ran out in the parking lot which is NOT good for a vehicle that sits in the lot. Got offered a better deal elsewhere yesterday, even after presenting proof of the better deal they were not willing to work with me at all. The whole experience was a complete scam.

Took truck in for very little noise in the back brakes. They said it was a warning noise for the back brake pads. Well my truck only has 25k miles on it and I havent even had to change the front pads yet which are normally the first to go. Well needless to say, they went ahead and put on brand new pads and rotors which I didnt need new rotors. I was not happy with this at all.

Im not one to post online but I have never had such a poor experience at a car dealership, let alone a Cadillac dealership. Id rather not give them one star but to post this, I was forced to. The most upsetting thing was that when I finally agreed to a deal, I provided them with an allowance certificate with an authorization and pin number, which was a nontransferable certificate, and I was told that it was already included in their advertised price. Nowhere online or in my extensive conversations with the salesmen, was it ever disclosed that their advertised price reflected Cadillac cash allowances. They had every opportunity to tell me that. In fact, when I initially was at the dealership, I spoke about the allowance certificate, and they never indicated that any rebates or allowances were already calculated into their online price. In addition, the salesmen told my sister, who was also interested in a new Cadillac, that she may not be eligible for the same allowance because she did not receive the certificate in the mail. Buyer Beware!! This place is really into deceptive pricing. Also, they really need to work on training their people to be more professional and knowledgeable about their products.Ive noticed that any negative reviews online get a response from the dealer to call them, but theres no point because Ive spoken with the manager at length. It does no good and just leads to further frustration.

Customer service is extremely important to me, upon wrapping things up I asked the representative if my tire pressure was checked. He was nice and said hed find out. Well the mechanic that serviced my vehicle, who was standing by the desk at the time, simply rolled his eyes upon being asked as if he did not want to be bothered by the question. So the representative, smiling, asked again and with an attitude the mechanic said, Yeah, yeah and walked away. Once I went to the vehicle to check, of course it wasnt checked. Extremely disappointed!

Service was ok, but when my drivers side window stopped working properly. Had to pay the full cost of the repair out of pocket even though I had just purchased the vehicle 3 months prior. Was told that one of the internal components was bent which means that the component was probably bent when I got the car but the symptoms didnt show up until I had had the car for a few months. Be sure to read the warranty sheet and if anything goes wrong with your car even the smallest thing bring it back and have them do a thorough look over it as soon as possible. Otherwise you may end up paying for the repairs yourself.

I was driving my Colorado in town when the engine warning light came on and a message said only limited engine use was available. I took my vehicle directly to the dealership and told them what happened. I was leaving the next day for vacation so they said leave the vehicle with them and they would order any parts if necessary. I came back from vacation and the truck was repaired and washed when I picked it 5 days later. This is the 3rd time it needed a new sensor.

These guys never speak down to me, and they dont try to sell me unneccessary services. When they do suggest services, they fully explain why theyre recommending them and patiently answer any questions I have, and they never try to scare me in to having them performed immediately.The prices are fair, the techs that have worked on my Cadillac have been competent, and the service advisors are knowledgeable and helpful. We had an appointment. The salesman was great but he couldnt overcome two problems. First, the new car was dirty inside and out. Since they knew we were coming, clean it? Second when we got the offer from the sales manager, he was trying to hide the bottom line, even after we requested bottom line up front, and just showed the monthly. After we complained, he showed us all the numbers. Had the car been clean and they had shown us the numbers first time we asked, we would have closed that day. Almost did. I wanted to close anyway but my wife was upset. Turns out she was right. Got a good deal elsewhere.

This was by far the best experience I have ever had in buying a car. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly (John Walters was the sales person). At no time did I feel like he was pushing to sell me a car. His attitude was much more of helping me to find what I was looking for. When I gave him a list of features I wanted, he didnt try to talk me into something more but instead went right to the vehicle that had those specific features. He was willing to show us others, but started with what I asked for. BTW, that is the car I eventually bought, too. When we realized that the financing I had prearranged would not cover the extended warranty, he and the sales manager (Kyle) were able to find financing at a rate that was even better than what I came in with.I was most impressed by the fact the the owners work AND home phone numbers were printed on the material I was given and is also on the doors of the establishment.If you are looking for a great experience in buying a car, this is the place to go.
