Staff is friendly. They are in the same position alot of other bussinesses are in, OUT OF STOCK!! Also prices have gone up alot. But overall, it was a good experience.

Received great help in locating items. However, even though the app for myself and others in line had problems the cashier did not offer a paper coupon that gave one of my items 50% off.

Love this place but why did I just get charged 89 cents for a carry out bag charge? I didnt buy a bag from them or even have my own bag, I just threw the few little things in back of stroller and carried the laundry bag I bought? I dont get why I would be charged that so Ill definitely be calling them!!!! Hmmm....

Can find any craft items you may need -beads, yarn,fabric, baking, how-to books, paints etc...

The store lately has been very unorganized and there are a lot of items out of stock. I understand the current situation, but also know that people are not doing their jobs. There was a certain yarn that I was looking for. Online said they had 9 . I head over to the store, but do not see the item in its place... My son looks up on the top shelves and sees the yarn there. It wasnt even worked down. When I asked employee to get it for me she seemed super aggravated. The entire store is just a mess .. It is very frustrating..

I dont hated this place. I get most of my crafts stuff from them.

Not many employees working and those that were didnt really seem to care that much. Used to work for the company and it seems the standards have really gone downhill.

I dont know what it is with Joanne stores lately, every one I go in its impossible to find an employee to help with anything and they always have 1 person working the register and long lines. It doesnt matter which location I go to, all the same. This was one of the worst though. Let me add that the shelves were so bare it looked like they were going out of business

I went to this store recently searching for velcro and a glue gun. The glue gun aisle had two huge trolley-like carts in the way. I had to push them ahead in order to get to the item that I wanted. What sort of place/staff leaves carts in customers way? Next, I asked assistance for velcro, and a very seemingly agitated employee told me which aisle it was in. She was not with a customer and was just one aisle over, I do not see why she could not walk me to the spot and assisted me promptly. I waited at the checkout counter for approximate 20 minutes, granted there were other customers ahead of me. When it was my turn this same employee came flying up and created a scene saying that she need to measure the velcro. Seriously? She knew that I was there for velccro because I asked her; she was right next to the cutting table approx, one aisle over and not once did she suggest that she had to measure? She intentionally waited for more than 20 minutes until it was my turn to cash out to interrupt the process? Please go to Horseheads/Elmira for friendly, professional customer service and a neatly organized store. I was very disappointed with the staffs action as well as the clutter within the store.

What a great store! Their staff is always friendly and knowledgeable, the selection of fabric is diverse, up to style, and reasonably priced. My potato pancake business has been using their table clothes and vinyl for more than 30 years. We will continue to frequent Joannes for another 30!

Visited this store in Ithaca for the first time and will not be going back. I could not believe my eyes. Not only were the bolts of fabric on the walls extremely messy but the whole store was a complete disaster as if whomever runs this store doesnt care at all! The fabric cutting area had papers and just a bunch of junk all over the counter near the cash register. The aisles had jumbled messes of stuff piled up everywhere, and when I say everywhere I literally mean everywhere. They certainly do not know how to display things in a nice way either. The ladies that worked there kept asking me if they could help me find something, it must have been because of the bewildered look on my face. The bathroom was gross and the toilet paper holder was wide open with toilet paper stacked on top of it.No, I do not work for another JoAnn Fabrics store but I constantly shop at the one in Horseheads NY and that store has definitely got there act together totally unlike the Ithaca store.

Love, love, love this store! I love the fact that Jo Anns carries a variety of various kits where everything is included to make that particular item. It makes shopping and doing so much easier and convenient. Store also has many items for all different sorts of crafts. Great sales too! Keep it up Jo Anns!!!

They were very helpful very friendly they just didnt have what I was looking for.

I was in this store on 11/21 at 5:43 pm (checkout). I realized the next day that my debit card was double charged. I tried calling this store three times during business hours and the phone just rang and rang. I never got an answer. I called the “800” number...corporate HQ? I gave the woman all my info and two days later I have yet to be reimbursed. The $31.50 was a lot for making my grandkids tote bags, but $63. is outrageous. A simple reimbursement should not take this long. AND if I only got one receipt, why did this error even happen? Unhappy ☹️ for sure.

Went to this store a few weeks ago on my way home from work to buy some yarn for my girlfriend. She needed a specific kind and color, and all i was sent to the store with was a piece of the yarn to try and match the colors together to find the correct one. After a good 20 minutes of looking i was on my way out the door with what i thought was the correct yarn when a young woman approached me to ask if i needed help with anything. I almost said no, but i explained my situation and immediately the young woman explained i did not have the correct yarn and took me to the correct kind in a matter of seconds. I was extremely impressed by her knowledge of the store and the product.

Thanks to the awesome employees for working through the pandemic! Being able to get craft supplies to keep myself occupied has been a huge help to my morale.

I am not a happy camper. Why does Joanns send out really nice coupons than put most of the store items on sale so the coupons are just about worthless? I could not find one item that I needed or wanted to use my coupons for that was available for purchase with a coupon. Not happy.

I always find something here, for a project that I havent even started yet. No shortage of ideas will come to you here, if you are a craft-loving person.

I needed a zipper slider replacement and they had a few options to choose from. This one does not require additional tools beyond the special tool provided. No need to sew on a whole new zipper. Very friendly staff.

Typical Joann Fabrics store. Plenty of parking, easy in and out. Offers fabrics and patterns, all sewing notions and supplies along with yarn, crafts, etc. Coupons on line and repeat customer program.

I was handed half the order that I had made online and informed by the male employee that the order had been cancelled and I would have to wait until the store reopened to get a refund. He was rude and condescending when I called back to make other arrangements. Not a good experience.

Staff are nice..other then that overpriced and even if you are willing to pay the inflated prices they dont have what you need.

I needed to get supplies for Quilted wall hangings and the prices were just right. They had this great sale on the things I needed so I was very happy!

The fabric selection is always good for random sewing projects. The customer service is also exceptionally good and problem solving what you need to do random projects.

Only looked, didnt buy there.

Great new store! I was there yesterday (April 27, 2013) and the clerks were all very friendly and helpful. I purchased something that I had noticed was on sale online but NOT in the store. A gal looked it up on the computer and verified it and I got it for the online sale price! Only thing is, even though the shopping carts are not all that big, the aisles are NOT wide enough to pass another cart! Seems like poor planning. Other than that, it was a very good experience.

I was looking for fabric for pillows and curtains. It was crowded in there with restocking for Christmas, boxes and racks in the aisles. 2 of the employees working on this acted like I and other customers were in their way. One younger one was really quite rude and said to the other that she couldnt get anything done because of the people. Did she mean buying customers ? Some fabric was marked down but really nothing I was looking for. Fabric is so over priced for the quality. Ended up getting fabric from Cortland Walmart and a great price. I did buy a few things from the Autumn markdowns.

Just went in. They had few customers late Saturday night. I found what I needed and exited. They are a little duller than Michaels and the late Hobby Lobby, but focus on textiles, knitting, etc.
