Super nice! Great, interesting tour and a very cute gourd farm. The art is really cute and well-made and the artist is passionate about it. A great way to spend a few hours to relax.
What a fun place! You can have a short visit just to buy some gourds or gourds art, walk in the gourds tunnel, make a tiny gourds necklace or have a workshop. The owner is a wonderful, open, funny and welcoming lady, who is very artistic. The studio is amazing, cozy and full with beautiful gourds. We enjoyed our visit very much and will be back!Dont forget to take a walk in the Eco Village later.
Graham is knowlageable and sweet as can be. The labor of love and creativity she has on display here are second to none.If you are in Ithaca you MUST stop in!
Such a beautiful collection of handcrafted art. A must see!!
Oh my so glad I visited here! Owner is a great artist and helped me out sharing her techniques...bought some gourds she grew on the property... lovely place!
A hidden gem. What a lovely place to visit. Graham made the visit special with her enthusiasm and knowledge. The hiking trails are beautiful but this stop made our trip memorable.
Very interesting
So fun! I came here to make a nightlight, and Graham was so friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful! The art she makes is beautiful, and the gourds make for a surprisingly robust medium! This was fun little adventure, and Id recommend it to anybody looking for something unusual and unique!
The make your own gourd art package is a wonderful way to spend part of an afternoon that begins with some Gourd Education, continues with power tool usage, and ends with a fantastic memento. Great artist, great person, great experience through and through.
This is a must-see destination if you like art, are interested in sustainability, and just want to visit a cool place. Located add Ecco Village in Ithaca this is a gallery and workplace of an amazing artist who Fashions pieces from gourds that have been dried. The building itself is very impressive and fashioned from beautiful wood. The gourds are grown on site which makes the whole experience.
Loved working with Graham! Enthusiastic about her garden & talented artist. Will definitely go back & recommend to check out her shop & take a class.
Love this place! Came with a group of family members and had a blast making gourd clocks! Graham is a fantastic teacher--encouraging and enthusiastic!
What a gifted and kind artisan who was both generous with her fabulous work but also with her time showing us around and talking about her craft. I bought a beautiful lamp and bowl... and a few other things that were made by others in her community. I cant say enough positive things about Gourdlandia. It was the highlight of my visit to Ithaca.
Graham and Otto are friendly and so knowledgable. We made mini gourd necklaces and a beautiful gourd nightlight. Beautiful items for sale.
Graham and Otto are amazing artists. They love what they do and love to see people learn skills too. They have an amazing shop of gourd art and lamps which was a delight to see. Graham also displays and sells artwork by other resident artists in the Ecovillage.
Visited yesterday at the recommendation of an Eco Village resident. It was a truly amazing time with Graham- who showed us-and described- her whole process from gourd growing, to weathering, to washing, to making whatever the shape of the gourd strikes in her imagination. Even the shop is a work of art built for her by her husband. The gourd vines look like early squash plants/vines right now but in a month will be hanging like it shows in the picture on the the shops Website. They will be harvested for design and finishing NEXT year, while the ones that were weathered from last years harvest will be used to produce new art. She does workshops and I intend to go back for one. What ever you conjure up in your mind as gourd art will fall far short of the finished beauty of this gift from the earth.
We had a great time at the nightlight making workshop! This is truly a unique experience and a must-do while in Ithaca.
Amazing. Have to pick up a gourd from here. Great energy.
Very cool! Lovedit! Small but the owner was so friendly and willing to share.
I look forward to seeing the documentary. I met Ms. Ottoson at the Lockwood Lavender Fest - bought a beautifully crafted lamp. I was impressed with both her talent and her niceness!
What an interesting place. I picked up a gift for my wife.
Graham Ottoson is the wonderful artist behind Gourdlandia. I had the privilege of shooting a mini documentary about her and her work titled The Gourd Lady. It can be found on Vimeo. Check out her work, it is simply stunning.
Turns out there are a lot of things you can do with gourds. Great place!
Graham and Otto are the best! Exceeded expectations in every way.
Nice small shop with art from local artists.
Amazing! A must see!
Very cool place with awesome gourd art.
Owned by the nicest couple ever!
So much fun!
