Helpful, considerate, very knowledgeable staff. They always have what I need at a reasonable price. Bought a grill here 12 years ago and it still works perfectly, is in excellent condition. (So I didnt have to throw a cheaper one that stopped working into the landfill and buy another one). Bought Furnace filters, dog toys, garden supplies, plants (and got expert advice on a problem in our garden), plumbing stuff, gifts for friends and relatives, and more. Excellent quality. People who care. Its such a pleasure to shop there and dont have to walk miles from department to department.

This place is great. A man sitting near the plumbing area who knows what he’s talking about, ready to work through your project with you. None of this “I’ll call and ask someone to meet you by plumbing” and 15 minutes later there’s nobody. And Agway isn’t more expensive for what I bought anyway - everything to set up a sump pump. Friendly, aware, ready with what most people want around the home and garden.

Limited on what they carry. I bet its something you werent looking for though. Great selection of cat and dog food and lots of toys.. Its NOT Lowes...but your there because its close or you have a horse..

I have been going to this Agway for decades. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Good prices for high quality goods.Today I picked up an order that I placed on line. This was the first time that I used their website to place an order for pickup. Everything was ready and they helped load it into my car. There are two entrances to the store, so of course I went to the wrong one first. If you are picking up, you should go to the Fulton Street entrance.

I am SO angry I could scream! Because I am a disabled senior I make sure to call on the phone prior to any traveling because it is such a big deal for me. On a Saturday morning as soon as they opened I called and told the saleslady that I am looking for David Austin CLIMBING roses that are in stock. Her response was YES and she said they have SEVERAL VARIETIES in stock. Based on this my husband and I proceeded to take a 2 hour drive (1 hour each way) to purchase 4 David Austin climbing rose plants for your newly landscaped yard. Upon arrival I asked the sales lady to direct me to them and she did ONLY TO FIND OUT THERE WERE 2 varieties, neither the color I was looking for. Very upset and angry that we drove 2 hours on an 87degree Saturday thus wasting hours!!! VERY UNEDUCATED sales rep...they should know what you carry! One star is too many!

I went there for propane and this young gentleman grabbed my tank filled it and loaded it back into my truck. What a great worker and very polite!

I needed some advice about finishing an antique cabinet. Staff in the paint section were friendly and worked together, notnonly to make suggestions (oil, poly, wax) but to help me try some wax in a small section of a drawer that I brought it. I felt like they were almost as interested in the success of my project as my father and I.

Well from shopping here, working here, to becoming friends with folks from here is great. This is the best mom and pops store you can go to. Owner Andy has the best price on things but also the best product. Friendly faces but wont take no disrespect, luis, nicco, alex, tom, bob, and good o mother nature stephanie. Be respectable at all time folks are busy. If you didnt know veggie and fruits are great starters from here during spring and summer months. Well enjoy ya self.

This is a great local resource. They have all the farm and garden sorts of things, plumbing, electrical, hardware, and home goods. The selection is excellent and the staff are knowledgeable. In the spring time they have really nice fruit trees, berries, and all sorts of other plants. I always go here before hitting up the big boxes and almost never need to go elsewhere to find something.

Ive been a resident of Ithaca for over 40 years and and the Ithaca Agway has always been one of those valued high quality local icons. The product line and customer service is simply outstanding. It is so nice to go to a store with questions and actually have them answered by local experts! Ithaca Agway carries such an amazing variety of products for every season. They are a very popular store so it is not surprising that some people find that the items they are looking for sell out. Ive never had a problem, always found exactly what I needed. It bears mentioning they also sell a lot of locally produced goods too. Ive met the owner and I was impressed with his sincerity in helping local farmers to sell their products in his stores.In my opinion Ithaca Agway is the hometown farm, garden, and hardware store that give that very clear differentiation to the big box supply warehouses. Professional local experts / locally produced goods / name brand products / and enormous variety. Simply cant be beat!

Ive been coming to Agway since we moved to Ithaca 20 years ago. I almost always find someone to help me quickly. They are very knowledgeable about hope repairs. If I have questions about how to do a certain task, they always provide helpful solutions. Ive even gone in there wanting to buy a product only to be told how I could accomplish the task with what I already had (in that case, wooden matchsticks!).

Store is set up in a way that employees are not always sure what department things should be in. Younger staff is nice,older staff will tell you what you need even( when I dont know what that means-quote said by older employee when I asked for a specific item.) he than told me that I needed something lower rated even though he didnt have any experience with what I was using and that is not good when it comes to electric! !!!!!!

Traveled back in time to when hardware stores had customer service and knowledgeable staff. Ithaca Away has quality items at competitive prices and its locally owned.

In brief: disappointing customer service.I like supporting smaller or local businesses when possible. Ive had positive experiences here in the past, but today was a different story. My wife and I arrived at 3:50pm unaware the store closed at 4. We were looking at mulch in the parking lot and standing near a sales associate whom never mentioned the close time. It was 3:58 when we tried to walk inside to make our purchase. We knew what we wanted, it was all ready to go outside, and were willing to pay cash and leave. Rather than simply telling us they close at 4 (and allowing us to check out quickly), two workers told us rudely that they close at 4 every Saturday and said the registers were already shut down. (We could see inside that the last couple of customers were still checking out.) Its disappointing that their response lost them our business to Lowes both today and for all future projects.

Quality local business. Home and farm supply / hardware store. They have almost every thing you need in a convenient down town location with friendly knowledgeable staff who can actually help find things or contribute knowledge.

This is a wonderful locally owned spot for all sorts of things for the house and yard. Consider it a small box store!

Great small town hardware store. Staff has been around a long time, not like the big boxes. So they know what theyre doing and know their products and applications very well. Its a real small town store, and thats worth a lot more to me than saving a few bucks.

By far the worst customer service experience Ive endured. I came in yesterday inquiring on tulip bulbs they claim that nobody sells them until fall. I went to another store and sure enough they have them available. Apparently this employee did not want to deal with me or at least try to assist me in what I was looking for. I would not recommend them to anybody.

Call ahead if youre looking for something because at any given moment Cornell could swoop in and buy them out of something!In general, their selection isnt great - but its okay. Prices are fairly reasonable and the staff are friendly.Their hours are terrible - they close at 6pm outside of summer and 4pm on Sundays. If you need something, dont wait to go in - call and get down to the store asap!

Every time I go to Agway, I find the staff wonderfully helpful.Whether shopping garden/planting, home repair, pet supplies, new tools or tool repair - whatever - I always find someone knowledgeable and helpful to guide me to a wise an reasonably priced solution.

I bought some stuff from this Ithaca Agway, as directed by my contractor to avail myself with supplies to complete a project. It was for the repair of a patio and to fix two stairs to the yard level. I must tell you that the repair of the patio went OK, but the stairs were off by a mile. I had a 3 stair, the one closest to the patio, an 8 stair in the middle and a 10 one to the yard level. WOW!! and not in a good way..I went back to Agway totally distraught, I spoke to a gentleman named Louis, who had sold me the 1st set of supplies, that I had been told to get for this project. I tried to contact the 1st contractor, who had created this bubo, he had multiple excuses, as to why he could not come back to fix this problem. I was at my wits end. Ithaca Agways Stonemason, Louis assisted me in finding, a reputable mason, who completed the job at a reasonable price, in 1/2 a day. I am overjoyed. Ithaca Agway is not just a Hardware store. It is a place where building problems, and I think other hardware can be solved. Go Ithaca Agway!!
