What a great wine store, with very knowledgeable staff.

Prices and case discounts are outstanding. No customer rest rooms is unacceptable.

This place has one of the best selections of wine and booze in the area. They have a better selection of those hard-to-find liquors and wines.

Haven’t encounter incompetence like this in a second. Long story short they tried to charge me for bottles and then said my card was declined. I was confused because on my end it didn’t say declined yet as a transaction would but manager Joe said it was declined and I had to use a different card only to still get those charges, surprise! When calling their manager (who happened to be on register for when the transaction occurred the day before) Joe he proceeds to tell me how the charges are a hold and they’ll go away soon. Huh?! That’s not how a declined transaction goes. So I call my bank and long story short they’re like yeah that’s not how that works the store charged you for the bottles. P.S make sure you cover your debit pin because Joe was looking at mine as I tried it. 0/10 (mostly cause of Joe overall the store and selection are fine.)

Great selection of wines and spirits. The staff is very helpful, the store is clean, recently-renovated and well-organized, and the prices are fair. Social distancing and hygiene are great. Love this place!

Impressive collection of wines and liquors. Customer service is outstanding. Last week I accidentally left a bottle of scotch (a pricey one too!) in my cart outside the door. I assumed I would never see it again. I emailed the store anyway. Jay from Customer Service wrote back immediatley: they had found the bottle and saved it in a safe spot for me to come and pick it up. And I did. Great store and great people!

Wide selection but lack of common sense policies. Ever since being purchased by the Wegmans family this store has adopted the same idiotic ID policies that Wegmans uses. Have had my drivers license examined with more scrutiny that ever before. Definitely not worth giving your business to a place that assumes all customers are dishonest.

This store is a one stop wine and spirits store. The varieties of wines and liquors are voluminous. I found a fantastic vodka called Copper Plate bottled in Louisville, KY, and when I get back to New Jersey, I am going to request it at our local liquor store. There is a gentleman in this store who is very helpful in many ways, and his guidance to the vodka was a home run hit. Yes, this is the wine and spirits store to go to when you are in Ithaca NY.

There is a very helpful guy by the name Joe. he is super helpful and always professional always polite and hes always got a smile on his face and hes always willing to help you. when I go in the first thing I do is see Joe and say hey Joe what do you know? Good guy good place good service!!!!

Great selection, good layout and reasonable prices with some outstanding local and global wines.

Northside is a big place with a lot of inventory. If they are out of something on the shelf, they may have it in the back. The employees are very nice and there is always someone to help. Their wine department is huge and there are a few very knowledgeable wine people to answer questions and help find what you want. I think their prices are a little high, unless you find something on sale, so I didnt give them the last star. This is not a discount liquor store; if you want a store that probably has what you want, this is the place.

5 star but staff at register should sound like they on they lag there.

They have a tremendous variety of items to choose from. From all over, different varieties from different localities. You will surely be able to find what you are looking for.

If you are looking for alcohol in Ithaca this is your place. They have a vast selection of wines and often have tastings to help you select what you may like. Im a whisky (or whiskey) fan and Scott is your guy! Very knowledgeable and helpful with the many options they have in stock. Whether its Scotch, Kentucky bourbon or Irish Scott can guide you to what are your tastes.

Northside has always been the best liquor store in Ithaca. Great Finger Lakes wine selection. 20- percent off a case if you sign up. Wine and other libations tastings regularly. The sign on door clearly states to have youre ID if you are under 30.

Got my husband a huge bottle of Jack Daniels from here he loved it.

Northside is a large retail spot that has a superior selection of wines and liquor in Ithaca and surrounding areas. Im not sure what level of expertise their staff might have because Im more the type to do my own research and just go in to buy things. But, Ive always found the staff to be pleasant, quick, and helpful if I need finding anything.

Probably Ithacas premiere wine and liquor store. Went in to buy some Hpnotiq, which the staff was very friendly in showing me to. Their selection is huge, and the only potential downside is that some of their stuff is a little pricey. The Hpnotiq, for instance, was several dollars more than at Johnson City Liquors and Wine. Its such a nice place that thats not enough to detract from the 5-star rating, which I rarely give.

Ithacas best as usual. They carry ICONIC for Americas Oldest winery, so good. And, my standard Hawaii fare of Freixnet & Menages Tois Midnight blend. Plenty more for every occasion and a very dedicated staff who really knows their wines.Pretty amazing 👌 & will help u find the right bottle and inform of tastings.I even got a Bad Arse Rose bumper sticker! Yes, the best.

Northside is now largely expanded in size and what seems like selection. Also seem to be more tastings happening in the store than in the past. They have expanded hours, free parking and a wheelchair accessible entrance.

Always out of things. Get told it will be restocked on certain days and show up again to be told that someone must not have ordered it. Been 3 trips there now and still out of what Im looking for. Wouldnt be so bad if it wasnt an hr. drive to get there for nothing. And even worse when you call and get told they have it and get there and they dont

Will never go back here. I went in at 10:30 am on a Thursday to buy my mom some wine for her birthday. Felt completely discriminated against because I look young (Im 23). The cashier was training someone else and she made me sign a notebook to check my signature and write my birth date, saying its store policy for anyone under 30. She verbally said she was checking my height (she looks about 54 ). She then blatantly told me to make eye contact with her so she could check the color of my eyes. The two people in front of me did not have to do any of this. I felt like I was being used as a guinea pig for training purposes and it was embarrassing to be put under this much scrutiny. I would recommend anyone under 30 (or who looks young in general) to go somewhere else.

Lost the Plot. Used to be the best place with attentive staff, etc. Recently Ive had a series of negative service experiences, including lost orders, hassles, and a general loss of customer focus. Lots of better local places, and web orders are easier. Seems likely that the change of ownership a few years ago is taking its toll.
