Pros:Quick response time. Honest man. Communicates affectively. Punctual and tidy/clean with chemicals and tools.Cons: Possibly oversells his skills. The job of varnishing my front door did not go as well as I had hoped especially since I sent a picture and made a separate appointment to evaluate the job so there would be no surprises. Once he started, he said job could not be done in the manner he first stated due to prior treatment and differing wood types. He offered another solution with acceptable results. As the job wrapped up, I felt he was in a big hurry and somewhat dismissive of my concerns, even though it was only mid afternoon into day 2. He did adjust his price but still paid $1,550 so it wasn’t chump change.

I have had furniture restored in the past by other people. They were a little cheaper in price BUT heres the thing. You GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR! Eric refinished a dresser for me. It is beautiful. I wont go to anyone else again. Im super happy with the entire project. Eric is honest and his work speeks for itself. No cut corners..... No mistakes..... It is perfect! I am very happy!!

Eric just recently refinished my kitchen table and bathroom wood vanity top. He was very professional, finished both projects in a very timely manner, and the finished product looks great!. The table and vanity look new again. I would recommend Eric and the quality of his work.

Eric Sweet is a very dedicated professional with many years experience in working with antiques, interior wood, furniture, frames, carvings and everything that has value.He repaired and restored my mothers desk chair that she used while director of the Teton County Library and later as the director of the Elko County Library. She gave the chair to me upon her retirement.No longer am I worried about using this chair for it is now structurally sound and beautifully restored. I would highly recommend JH Furniture Restoration.

Eric quoted me a price of 1400 to refinish a table top, estimating it was 3 days of work. When he finished it in 5 hours, he refused to adjust the price.
