Ive been listening to their podcast for a while now and really enjoy it. I called them on the phone to order some products and they were very helpful and spent a lot of time with me getting an order ready. What a great shop! Where to start? First, the location isnt too bad. If you live in Flowood its easy to swing by on the way home. Very convenient. Second, the selection is great. Good size humidor with a middle island. Whatever your taste, theyll have a stick for you! Third, the seating is pretty good. It can get crowded sometimes, but isnt that just a sign of a good shop?!!! Lastly, the staff is great. Very friendly and chatty. Overall, this shop is a must if you are in the area.

Top notch selection of cigars, pipe tobacco, pipes, and accessories. The staff at the country squire is one of a kind: Friendly, super helpful and very knowledgeable! Also a laid-back atmosphere for relaxing and hanging out with friends. They do have a small beer selection. Prices are good & very fair!!

My husband and I have shopped in store several times and we absolutely love the atmosphere and friendly staff. They are always super helpful and polite. Theyre online services are also efficient and easy to use! I placed an order and it got to my home within 2 days. I love the fact that they weigh everything out by hand and really care about their customers. Great work guys!

The single best small tobacco blender in the states. Everything they have is wonderful. They are limited on English blends but if you enjoy aromatics this is the place to go. Also if you are local to Mississippi or tennessee actual visit the physical location.

After only one online order I am confident enough in these folks to give a five star rating; and will gladly be buying from them again. Their website layout is a little different but still easy to shop on and the tobaccos I ordered arrived quickly. After trying four of their house blends Ive already went and picked out a dozen more flavors that Ill be ordering 1oz each of to sample in the near future. The four flavors I ordered recently will be reviewed belowAt 32 Im still a fairly young cat in pipe smoking years, but with over 60 tobaccos in my collection I think its safe to say Ive been around the block a time or two and hope you can be confident in my appraisals below.Tobacco review:Saratoga: This cherry-cased tobacco is nice and sweet with none of the harshness youll find in an OTC cherry blend. The flavor is smooth and fruity, lasts through the whole bowl and becomes a little bit spicy (pleasantly) at the bottom third. I usually shy away from cased aromatics and lean towards top-flavored (top noted) blends. But these people know how to handle the process without going crazy with the humectants! I had no gurgle, no goop and zero bite; even in my Paykoc churchwarden in which *everything* gurgles. It *is* sweet, but not syrupy sweet like many cased aros. Even though I dont generally like cherry tobacco I *will* be ordering more of this. It is similar in flavor to Gatlin-Burliers Cherokee Cherry which is another great cherry tobacco among the few that I recommend.Hunting Creek: This interesting blend has the sweetness of an American aromatic, the body and flavor of a Danish aromatic and the pleasing spiciness of a medium-strength English-Balkan. If you are a strict aro smoker dont let the L-word disconcert you. The latakia rides along gently in the background and balances the blend out perfectly; you likely wont even notice it directly. The moisture level was perfect and it burns to good ash with no dottle. I will also be ordering more of this one.Indian Outlaw: Smooth, fairly sweet without being overly so. Mild enough to smoke all day, but also fairly satisfying. This one also reminds me of a Danish-American hybrid. Again, the moisture was perfect and it burns and smokes great. Another that Ill be getting more of.Parsons Blend: This one I dont quite get. The flavoring is very, very mild and I barely notice the fruit essence. Flavor wise it appears to be more in the realm of lightly top-noted rather than cased. Its also not very sweet to me and doesnt have a satisfying amount of body to make up for the lack of flavoring. However, it must be noted that I am a bit of a man of extremes. If something is flavored I like the flavoring to be strong and have a heavy presence. If you like mildly sweet and delicately flavored aromatics, this one is for you. Try it out. Again, the quality, moisture and burn characteristics were all great, I just wasnt thrilled with the flavor of this one.Overall, if youre looking for a place to try out some bulk blends, thus far I cant recommend this place enough. I live within day-trip distance of Jackson and will hopefully be taking a ride up there soon; which Im looking forward to. Since this Pandemic started a lot of my local shops shut down. I missed the tobacco shop/tobacconist experience and called the Country Squire. Sampled 9 1oz blends from an online order. All superb. And a personalized note from the proprietor. My wife and I will make a pilgrimage to the store soon from Homestead, Florida. So far, the black & tan and delta honeydew are our favorites.

This is a Shop you MUST visit if you are passing through Jackson, MS. Also if you live near Jackson and you have not made the Squire your regular Cigar/Pipe Shop..your cheating yourself. The Country Squire has been my go to pipe shop for several years. From the moment you walk in the door, to interacting with staff, to sitting down with familiar faces and strangers to enjoy some good ole Toby, you just feel like you are home. The Owner (JD) treats every customer like they are #1..no matter how much $$ is spent or if you just come to relax. There is no pipe shop in the entire state of Mississippi (at least) that treats Pipes with as much respect and enthusiasm. At the Country Squire Pipes are not just some after-thought..like most other Cigar shops. The Country Squire is uniquely wonderful. The atmosphere is clean yet rustic, the inventory is well organized and includes an impressive variety, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. So if you love pipes and/or cigars or are just curious to dabble, consider stopping in to experience it for yourselves. You will be sure to find products you love, but more than that you will experience a camaraderie that no other Cigar/Pipe shop is even close to tapping in to. Keep it up JD!

Super Knowledgeable staff are always willing to help. They always have a great selection. They even have a place to smoke and try new blends or just hang out for a few minutes. Without a doubt this is one of the best places to purchase pipe tobacco or cigars. And it’s in the good part of town.

This place is an absolute dream for the discriminating pipe and cigar lover, as its motto suggests. The store, however, definitely doesnt discriminate against anything but tobacco. They make everyone at the store feel welcome! After you buy your pipe tobacco or cigar, youll find it incredibly hard to resist the urge to sit and chat with the interesting characters that are ever present in the shop. The owner, Jon David, is incredibly knowledgeable about cigars, and especially so about pipes and pipe tobacco. Unlike many tobacco shops, who simply relabel bulk blends as their own, the Squire sells custom blends only available from them. If you cant make it to the store, you can even place an order online and have it shipped to you! If you smoke a pipe or love cigars and ever find yourself in Jackson, Mississippi, you owe it to yourself to visit this gem of a store.

Ive not stepped foot through the door of the Country Squire, but I have ordered from them online and I can tell you that the online piping community is lucky to have these folks as a resource. The word knowledgeable doesnt even begin to describe the depth of commitment J.D. and his staff have to their craft. And closing out my order with a personal note of thanks was a nice touch. I have always appreciated great customer service but have never received this level of attention in the online retail world. Not to mention their proprietary recipe blends are unique and tasty, and cannot be gotten anywhere else. I will be coming back for more!

The place is extremely welcoming and comfortable and the tobacconist is helpful and friendly. I am not a social person at all, to the point that I am a hermit, but I was made to feel comfortable. It was nothing like I expected. I have tried 2 of the four house blends I bought and I am getting more of those two for sure.

Several house blends and house pipes that I’m quite a fan of also.If you’re a pipe or cigar person, you need to become acquainted with TCS. They’re the only quality tobacconists in the county as far as I have found. Nothing like the garbage head shops that try to pass for real tobacconists.Will definitey be returning and making use of the lounge area in the near future.Very much a fan of The Country Squire and a big thank you to all the staff there.

Nice store BUT prices on cigars are about 25% above other shops. $29.99 for a four pack on my normal cigars and I get them at my shop in Hoover, AL or Bham for $24.99.
