Today was my first time coming to grass monkey.Right when I walked in, the receptionist was so sweet and even offered to laminate my med card.I go inside and it was the most beautiful dispensary I’ve been to by far, there were so many options. Declan helped educate me on the many edibles they had in stock, and I ended up leaving with 4 different bags. From the moment I walked in, to the moment I walked out I was helped, treated with kindness and respect, and the staff was patient, knowledgeable, kind, and incredibly helpful with all the questions I had. 10/10 would recommend and I will definitely be back! Thank you!!

Super nice location, have to say one of the most visually striking dispensaries that I’ve seen in the area. Beautiful display and interaction with the product such as jars featuring magnifying glasses and a plastic slide that allows the customer to smell the product. Not to mention the wonderful customer service!

The woman in reception was very nice and I was registered and entering the shop within a minute. Inside I was greeted by Zindaory. She was really nice and knew the products well. She suggested several pre-rolls based on effects I was looking for and was spot on. Especially the Slap and Tickle. I recommend it. Thanks Dory!

First time here! Originally from Mass so I love visiting Maine dispensaries. I loved inside it was so cute. Declan helped me pick out flower and edibles. I noticed after I left that I was allergic to these specific edibles and Declan and his associate (blonde hair from LA) let me swap it out no problem! Thank you again!!! Grass Monkey was the absolute best, talk about pop art meets modern punk grunge deco, featuring the most amazing banana sculpture tagged with graffiti in the state of Maine, reasonable prices, knowledgeable and flexible staff willing to go out of their way to help, and easily one of the nicest shop interiors I have seen in a shop for years!!!! And a special thanks to rose for taking good care of us today, excellent service 10/10 would recommend!!!

Great set up, great service from Declan! Very helpful with it being my first time there Declan was able to guide me through the store and product. Other staff member I unfortunately didn’t get her name but she was also very friendly! Definitely recommend checking them out if you haven’t already!

Stopped in while passing through Portland on the way home from my first road trip for more than a year. I only bought a couple of low-dose edibles, but Ariana was friendly and helpful. Didnt catch the name of the young man at the front desk, but he was welcoming and friendly also. Decent selection of products, comperable prices and rewards program, colorful and pleasant decor, clean bathroom. Ill be back when I pass through Portland again.

First time here, theres a crazy huge selection to choose from! maybe even the most in the Greater Portland area. Flower, dabs, carts, edibles, glass..Zindaory helped me choose from a couple strains I had a hard time deciding from and gave me 15% off. flower is GAS! paid $52 for a 1/4

I had to take them down three stars. I had always had a great experience there up until the last time. I went with a friend, I told her is was okay to tell them what she was looking for and why. It was sensitive information and I felt she could trust them. I was shocked that he didn’t seem to listen to her. He was trying to pressure her into some high priced items. As she walked away his voice got louder everybody turned around and looked. Not a fan, haven’t been back since.

This was our first time at Grass Monkey. We found it by accident and decided to go take a look around. We met Vanessa and she got us signed in, and went above and beyond asking us if we would like our cards laminated. She then joined us in the store and took us around and explained their color coding system. She was very helpful and knowledgeable about the products and which would be best in different situations. We will be back!

The best selection Ive found in South Portland so far, and the staff is very helpful with answering questions and making suggestions based on your needs. The inside is enjoyably decorated with lots of product information if you prefer reading to interacting with the staff. There is also a breezeway lobby, making it comfortable to wait while distancing appropriately.

First visit in here today! Very nice showroom. The weedtenders were great. The gentleman at the check in was very thorough and succinct with the introduction information about the store and the policies. I do feel safe here and the staff was great! Thank you for a great first experience at your dispensary! Love the DSDJ indica cartridge I bought. I felt the effects pretty quickly. I came in because I haven’t been able to find a cart that makes me feel like something is working. The weedtender offered great suggestions when I asked. I also checked out the flower, which is my preferred method of ingestion. Bought something called platinum garlic (indica hybrid). Grown by one of the associates of Grass Monkey. Can not wait to try this! Thanks again 😊 I would travel the 30 minutes to shop here again!

Visited Grass Monkey for the first time last week. Great facility, prices, product, and staff! My sales person was informative, courteous, and patient as I have never been there before and asked many questions. Product is absolutely top, top, top, notch! Very highly recommend! I was really looking forward to shopping at this loacation on June 29th Unfortunelty they were not accepting Mass temporary medical cards (only place in Maine) that wouldnt allow me to enter. Staff was pleasant to deal with and explained that Maine has strict rules with Temp cards. After visiting other locations which allowed me to enter & shop they told me that 2 weeks ago an announement was made stating they could accept temporary out of state medical cards and every medical dispensary in Portland said that they probably arent paying attention to there emails. Anyhow im looking forward to shopping here once my card comes in the mail i dropped $500 at Highly South Portland which has the best weed ive tried so far in Maine. I couldve easily spent my money here but they didnt want to ask if they can accept my temp card.

Very nice place and they have good products. Employees are Okay. But I personally would not shop here. They have good deals on tuesdays, but to me is not worth it if I ain’t getting what I want. They never try to work with you, they give you what they want, or what’s available. Definitely need better customer service!The girl working there, well one of them should do better.
