Great coffee and an excellent place to lounge or WFH. I recommend one of their pour overs - you’ll have to wait a few minutes, but it’s worth it!

Over all just NOT a positive experience. I ordered 2 muffins and received 2 donuts, the pour over was $4 for only 2/3rds of a small cup of coffee.I asked for a white hot chocolate with lavender & I must have been speaking a different language because I just got a regular hot chocolate... on top of all of this, not one employee was wearing a mask. I really wanted to like this place because it’s a 3 min walk from my house but needless to say I will not be going back.

We drove almost 40 minutes to check out this coffee shop. My husband thought 7/Eleven’s coffee was better tasting than Sago’s coffee. He dumped his full cup even tho I told him to exchange it for something else. This experience left him uptight. My latte with whole milk was okay—not worth the time to return. The display of baked goods needs upgrading. The place is nicely designed/clean looking/a little sterile. Customer service was just service.

The service was great. The ambiance was very nice. The coffee...uh...not good. It tasted like it had some strange chemical in it. I am not trying to bash the place, I loved everything but the coffee. But its a coffee shop.

LOVED this place. First off, the place is big and beautiful. Large space inside with a great outdoor space adjacent to it. Their menu is great- I had a cold brew (YUM) with avocado toast. Literally the best avocado toast I’ve ever had (and I’m not exaggerating it was scrumptious). The people were great, and can’t wait to go back!

Great atmosphere. They have a business room I think you can rent. But the interior is nice and modern, clean and comfortable. The coffee was great. I got a vanilla latte but I could tell the espresso was sweet enough to drink without the flavor. Just so well done. Kind staff that allows you to breathe free. Highly recommended.

First time at Sago Coffee this weekend. The aesthetic is very clean and modern. I like that there are many spots to lounge and study. The customer service was great and the cold brew was also very good. Definitely a great new coffee shop addition to Jax Beach.

I love this atmosphere of this coffee shop definitely great for remote working. I had a tea and a veggie wrap both were pretty good, id definitely revisit. I think the hard metal chairs at some of the tables does make it a little uncomfortable for people sitting chatting, when the couches or work space is not available.

Would you pay $7+$1 tip for half of a small cup of coffee?? Plus it took 20 mins after ordering to receive it. I forgot why I said I’d never come back so I decided to give it a try again. Big mistake. Don’t waste your time & money.

The coffee was pretty good but I had to wait quite a while for my coffee and food. So many of customers were using their laptop to work or having a meeting and didnt seem to be leaving so I had to settle in an very uncomfortable seating option ): if I was one of them I would find this place energetic and hip, but honestly I would have liked my experience rather relaxing.

Great flavors. The cold brew no cream or sugar was on point for a humid 80+ degree day. The entire family enjoyed the mini outside cabana like seating too. Thats in addition to the friendly service we received from the Sago Crew. Thank you.

I’ve visited about 4 times now. While the atmosphere and staff are awesome, each time the coffee has been just ok. We had the Burundi drip a few months ago, which tasted burnt when we got it (very bitter) and then yesterday ordered an Ethiopian pour over, which tasted like an average dark coffee (note: an Ethiopian should not taste average or dark). This place is nice, especially if you need to get a just a regular coffee and work, but they need to change either how they roast their grounds, where they get it from, or who is doing the pour overs. Something in the process is not going right. Please make it better :) Thanks!

Its a great spot to meet, have meetings, grab food and enjoy the ambiance. Its definitely a space you feel comfortable sitting in for some time and not rushing through your day if you dont need to.

Very disappointed! We know, that coffee is closing at 5pm, thats why we set up meeting with friends (new customers) at 4.20pm. At cashier, system asked for tip. I did, 20%. Than all coffee was in to go cups.. He told me, that they closing at 5pm, all coffee going to go... Wondering, if you comminng to the restaurant, if they serving to go too before closing?

Love Sago! Super friendly staff, lots of seating & outlets, adorable decor & presentation of food/coffee. All their stuff is delicious (but do be prepared to pay for it)!

Since moving here from NYC this winter, we had been grieving the loss of good (legit) coffee. Then someone told us about Sago, to the uninitiated NYers may be perceived as masochists, desiring nothing more than be charged amply for the smallest of cups of artisanally brewed coffee that take a seemingly absurd and unreasonable amount of time to produce. But this is how it’s done! This is the real $#@%. To all my people out there, I see you cruising up and down A1A with your NY and NJ plates, if you’re looking for your Blue Bottle or your La Colombe down here, this is it guys.

We have always really liked the coffee and food at Sago. However, we went today and only one of the employees was wearing a mask. We know masks arent required by the state anymore, but the pandemic is still going on and if you are making and breathing over peoples foods and drinks, you should still be wearing a mask like most other businesses still require. The fact that they dont seem to care about their customers well-being is extremely dissapointing.

This is exactly what youre looking for when searching for a great coffee spot. Great vibe, airy atmosphere and well executed coffee come to mind. Will be coming back here again!

The atmosphere was enthralling. It was well-kept, well-organized, and the architecture was stunning. If you go to this store, you will not be disappointed because it is wonderful and affordable. Ill return!

I ordered an Ethiopian pour over. The coffee was brewed well and tasted great. However, they said the wrong name when serving my drink and a different customer took it. This customer later returned the drink when she realized it wasnt hers. Mine was eventually served in a to-go cup rather than their nice pour over carafe which was disappointing after waiting for about 15-20 minutes. I would give them higher stars if I was served my drink properly and quicker. At least the coffee tasted good, though.

Its hard to find good coffee in Jax and this is one of the only places that is up to par. While the coffee is great, the speed at which it is served is abysmal. Going here regularly, it has happened more often than not that I have had to wait 15 min for my coffee.Sadly in the past weeks Ive also witnessed too many people entering the premises without masks and no staff bothering to tell them to wear a mask. We are still in midst of a pandemic and this lack of care on health and safety is upsetting.

After a thirty minute wait for a ham and cheese croissant and bagel, we were told they were out of ham and cheese so we got a bagel. The bagel was almost as good as a Lender’s bagel from the grocery store. We split our one small container of cream cheese and the one napkin they gabe us in the box. The batch coffee was strong but lacked character. The design of the store is nice but not comfortable seating. They have a long way to go to be acceptable. We would have been much better off with the free breakfast at the hotel. I’m glad I grabbed a muffin for the road at the hotel.

Full stop amazing coffee, and thats coming from an Oregonian. Go to Starbucks if youre in a hurry, quality takes time. (or a $30k+ espresso machine)

A great working atmosphere with a Seattle vibe. I have been surprised there are not more places in Jax like this but at least now there is. Coffee is pretty comparable to others. Just every time I come here the order taker is extremely impersonal like they have better things to do than be the customers only point of contact. Ill be coming back often but my least enjoyable part is communicating with the cashiers.

Being here a few times I can say it has such a nice vibe to the place, a great place to study, read, hang, chill, and drink coffee that you get here. I only tried 2 drinks here but can say for sure that they are really good.

Coffee isnt special, rude staff, long line. Worst is the line is right down the middle of the shop so you just awkwardly wait for your turn to finally order as people sip coffee around you, kinda like a hipster zoo.

Beautiful environment, lots of indoor and outdoor space, desk work worthy, and the espresso is well dialed-in! My wife got a vanilla oat milk iced latte with half the vanilla and it’s the best latte we have had in a while! Definitely worth putting on your list of places to try!

Their oatmilk lattes are incredible! Love the open-air concept too! Being so close to the beach gives it such a breezy and relaxed atmosphere.

Since leaving seattle, good coffee is a challenge in Jax. Two places gets the award: coffee grind downtown Jax & this place! Reason for the one star is they are pathetically slow. I have been here four times in the last week averaging 12-20 minutes for one beverage!!!

Yummy coffee options with unique lattes...and they have oat milk too! The avocado toast on croissant was tasty.

I wish I could give you 20 stars! You are the best place at the beach. 100% wonderful customer service. Really good drinks. I like that they have maintained a comfortable environment and safe seating during Covid. Its apparent that they value their customers comfort, while being responsible. The music is never intrusive and on one or two occasions the request to turn it down just a little and was done immediately. Thank you for being a great place to come and relax!

Coffee is delish, great atmosphere, friendly staff, but pastries and supporting snacks were pretty dried out or rubbery on multiple visits, so I recommend just skipping that part.

They were really rude. My friend and I brought in other coffees from a different place and they told us that we had to buy something. And we were being disrespectful by bringing in other coffee and they told us that if we don’t buy anything that we had to leave. This was my first time coming into this shop and this is how they treat the new comers. There were other tables that people could’ve taken and we were in the back and he walked over to us saying that people don’t have anywhere to sit.

Great location and ambiance. It has an industrial vibe to it! I had the drip coffee..unfortunately it tasted very sour . As they are new I’m sure they’re figuring out the kinks so I’ll prob give this place another shot.

Wonderful design and layout. Their seasonal cinnamon vanilla latte is fall in a cup (great for people who don’t like pumpkin spice!) Always has a crowd of regulars. Easy parking!

Beautiful, airy location with varied sitting areas right on our street! Met the super friendly owner on a previous visit and sampled a delicious piece of mint dark chocolate. The only minus was one rather sullen employee who did not want to make my latte with slightly less coffee in it ..(being late in the evening, I wanted my usual coffee fix but with a tad more milk so I wouldn’t be too wired for bedtime).. The back and forth with him for a full minute was rather comical, but also a bit annoying.

Great staff, that makes great coffee. Love the environment, and I walk out with a smile every time. Everyone seems to work very hard and genuinely care for their customers.

We got the avocado toast, it was seasoned batter thany any weve had anywhere else. Stay and relax or grab your coffee and browse the thrift shop next door!

Very nice space. OK coffee if you dont compare it to Bold Bean down the road. just an FYI: You will likely leave this place with an earful of open church dialogue by the customers and Staff. This shop is very much for the church/by the church and proceeds support the Beach Church across the street.

Great coffee! Beautiful interior! The waffles are INCREDIBLE! Way more parking and seating than literally any other coffee shop in Jacksonville! The baristas are so friendly! I have been waiting for this place to open up for months and it did not disappoint! Just what Jax Beach needed!

Very disappointed with their food. It is an overpriced coffee place which cannot not even offer a decent breakfast sandwich. We had their Avocado Bacon Bagel and the bagel itself seemed to be a frozen bagel that was not warmed up. The avocado was extremely cold and the bacon was the bacon bites you buy at Publix and to make it even better, they had the brilliant idea to sprinkle thick salt on top of everything. All that for $8!!!!And the coffee, well… nothing special about it reason why I gave it a 1 star. Definitely not worth the money.

Their espresso is right on par with Bold Bean. Super awesome vibe and great atmosphere. If you’re in a hurry don’t come here. They take their time to craft each drink. Worth it 100%.

This shop, in my opinion, is the prettiest coffee shop in Jacksonville. I love the open space and how the outdoor seating is set up. There’s also a conference room inside which is pretty cool. I had an iced vanilla chai latte which was absolutely delicious, and I’m excited to see how this place grows and becomes a Jax coffee staple!

The coffee is pretty good too.Thoughts: My wife had been to Sego coffee several times before and had been wanting to take me for a while. We finally had a free day together but still had a ton of work to but but also wanted to be out by the beaches so we planned a trip to Sego.First of all the space here is amazing! They have a large common area with tables, couches, outlets, and plenty of comfy chairs. They also have a side conference room where it seems like the more focused people head to work or study. And then on top of all that they have a ton of outdoor seating. Even more impressive though is the fact that the outside space is very well thought out and comfortable. It’s not just a lot of chairs and some metal tables. They have full on outdoor couches tables and side tables to really give you a feeling of being able to hang out with people or relax.Anyway…when we got to ordering I decided to get my usual order for visiting a new coffee shop. Even though my wife assured me that the coffee was fantastic, I figured it couldn’t hurt. Besides a pour over and cappuccino are always a good option.The cappuccino came out pretty quickly and was simple, but delicious. It had a good amount of foam, the temperature was right, the beans were good, and just overall a great cappuccino.It did take a while for them to make a pour over but they were incredibly busy the day we went in. So I can definitely cut them some slack given how much they had going on. The pour over itself was very good. It was the right temperature and the beans had a lot of flavor to them.While the coffee was very good, I think the real winning factor for Sago is its space. There is a ton of space both inside and outside the store to hang out or do work in and it’s all very comfortable. Sago feels like a place that was designed for working or spending time there. The downside to all this awesome space is that it can get very busy. In fact the day we went we had to wait a little while to get one of the nicer tables outside. It’s definitely worth it but this place can get super busy.Overall though, if you are in the beaches area and either want a fantastic cup of coffee, or a really awesome place to hang out Sago Coffee is the answer to both of those.

Coffee is good, food is hit or miss. But my god as a regular, this place is so unorganized. Half the time food or drinks are forgotten about and you’re left waiting, there’s no real management or leadership. Baristas will watch you wait for coffee that is not coming while making coffee to instagram. When you ask for assistance you either get questions back or confused looks. All I want is a coffee and a waffle, was 5 stars when they first opened but almost every trip now something is messed up.
