My 13 year old son just finished his PADI Open Water Certification with Atlantic Pro Divers. I did tag-a-long dives to be my son’s dive buddy.I could not be happier with the Instructor “Will” who demonstrated tremendous patience and professionalism. His teaching style is mild mostly, yet firm with items of extreme importance (safety). I echo this sentiment about the two dive masters that were with us.I would encourage anyone with an interest of exploring the substance (and It’s inhabitants) of earth’s most plentiful covering… to just go!Some learning on a computer, then a long weekend… you just opened a huge door. Get out there!

I obtained my PADI Open Water certification with Will. He provided a safe and well organized class. He teaches the program with a pleasant and professional attitude. I had an awesome experience here. I came down to visit the family and get my PADI as a resume builder for work. I ended up liking it more than I thought I would - probably due to a great instructor, Carmen. She was very fun and personable. After the final day of class, I stopped in to finalize paperwork and check out equipment. Fantastic Dive Experience! Great learning environment! My wife and I did a recertification/refresher course with our two daughters’ open water certification course. Our Instructor Will Hinton and Divemaster Eli McBride were both thorough and patient throughout the weekend . I was especially impressed by the lengths Will went to ensure that every participant in our dive party had a positive learning experience and successful checkout dives despite a wide verity in age (10 to 64) and comfort levels, including doing an “extra” dive with one student for individualised instruction...Eli was extremely attentive and offered valuable insight on a wide range of Diving topics from equipment to dive locations and trips. Due to their efforts, our girls are planning to join their college dive clubs and are on their way in joining us in exploring the underwater world!

**TANK OWNERS BEWARE OF SERVICES**I write this review with a heavy heart. I have been going to this shop for years and I truly believe the gear they carry is the best in the market. I’ve referred several clients to them and I have single-handedly increased their sales by over $30,000. The brands they carry are the best in the industry.My issue is with the staff, how I am treated as a customer and the equipment services. Their MANAGER Bailey always seems bothered. Whether I am there for tanks fills or helping a friend pick out their first set of gear, she sits behind the counter and acts as though her day is inconvenienced by the sales I am bringing in. I’ve received false information from her on service wait times and whenever I ask for a phone call (when tanks are ready for pick-up or if something needs to be followed up on) she has NEVER called me back.I’ve got several tanks so my annual services are always a chore. Last year I had issues and decided to bite my tongue. This year, after getting 12 of my tanks serviced, I cannot keep my mouth shut any longer.I cannot trust that the staff will not to make a mistake. I’ve had tanks filled incorrectly - wrong mixture or not filled at all - and I’ve had tanks they’ve forgotten to put a VIP sticker on. I’ve even had them break 3 of my tank valves. I learned my lesson the first time when I was responsible for replacing the valve since there was no proof of how it was damaged. Now, I take pictures every single time I leave my tanks there because they accuse the customer and say the damage was already there! Their newer employee Chad seems to be their only saving grace with tanks and customer interaction.My final straw: Out of all my tanks, I have had 1 in particular at their shop for over 2 months. They’ve told me it was ready 3 times, but it is not. The tank was fully functional upon drop-off and when I came to pick it up, it was empty. Upon further inspection, the tank was empty because somehow while servicing, the valve was broken and no longer will close completely. Therefore air is leaking out of the tank 100% of the time.Overall, I am extremely disappointed in the customer service at the shop and in the future I will refer my clients to Divers Supply or First Coast Divers. They’re locations are more convenient anyways.

I had an AMAZING experience with Atlantic Pro Divers. Extremely professional and fun. I felt safe the entire time. The assistant instructors also made the certification go smoothly. APD had opened the world of diving and Im excited to go on my next adventure with them. I would highly recommend them.

Just got Open Water certified this weekend with the awesome instructor Jen Carr! The experience from the beginning was fantastic. The e-learning was easy to navigate. In the shop, I came by for the rental gear and to get new fins. Kayley was super friendly and knowledgeable, giving me all the time I needed to feel comfortable getting set up for the upcoming weekend. For this particular dive course, we did Devils Den and Rainbow River. Both were very Scuba-friendly environments and I felt safe the entire time. Jen made sure each student was able to master the skills at their own pace, giving me confidence in what I was learning. I did the open water certification with Will and Sam and they were very knowledgeable and patient in teaching and answering any questions I had. Each diver in the course made large improvements from start to finish and everyone had a awesome time! I also purchased equipment from the shop and Bailey & Carman were very helpful in pick the right equipment. Everyone seemed to really love what they are doing and are excited to educate new people getting into diving.

I was down in Florida on a work trip wondering what to do with my weekends. I’ve been wanting to get my scuba diving certificate for a very long time, so I looked into it and found that Atlantic Pro Divers was only two blocks from my hotel. I stopped in to talk with Bailey who filled me in on all the details and got me started on the PADI eLearning right away. The next day I went to orientation where Carmen meticulously fitted me head to toe with gear like I was buying a tux for a special day. Feeling comfortable with my equipment rentals and purchases, it was time to get submerged.We met up the next day at the pool with our instructor, Will, who I cannot say enough about. He’s a legend in his own right. He taught us all the basic skills needed to survive underwater using the compressed air we had strapped to our backs. The next day we met at Devil’s Den Prehistoric Spring for our first open water dive. Being one of the top 100 dive sites in the world, it was like no place I’ve ever been, and I feel lucky that I got to experience it with my first dive.That night most of us got holel rooms in Dunnellon, went out for dinner, and set out the next morning on our next dive at K.P. Hole Park. Here, a pontoon boat brought us up the Rainbow River, a natural spring, where we jumped off and let the current slowly take us over the grass and limestone bottom while we perfected more skills and enjoyed the environment.From beginning to end it was one of the best experiences I’ve had in my life. Every staff member I was in contact with was kind, extremely knowledgeable, and professional. Not only was I able to finally earn my scuba diving certificate, but the entire weekend was an incredible adventure and a lot of fun!If you plan on getting certified I strongly suggest contacting the staff at Atlantic Pro Divers. This past weekend I started my scuba journey with Atlantic pro divers and IT WAS AMAZING. Everyone at the dive shop made the entire process so easy from setting up our course to picking out our gear. I couldn’t possibly imagine having a better experience anywhere else. It started with Chad being extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the products they had to offer in the store. They were able to outfit me with some solid gear for my PADI basic course.We had Bailey as an instructor and she was so attentive and focused on getting us the best training possible while also making the course fun. I had such a good experience from start to finish and can’t recommend this team enough. I 100% will make the drive out there to buy products from the shop instead of ordering things online as their prices are solid and they genuinely care about you as a customer.Plus - they give a military discount!

This is an incredible dive shop with the best instructors. I just got back from my open water diver certification weekend and I am thrilled with how it went. Chad was the lead instructor and he was fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable on everything diving-related and was great at teaching us all the skills with clear instructions and tips as we completed them. The rest of our team consisted of Jenn, Jose, and Nick. All phenomenal people and extremely helpful as well. The amount of patience and encouragement I got from the leaders was great. I struggled with some panic on one skill and no one gave up on me, instead they helped me calm down and push on. I greatly appreciated that and it gave me confidence to know I was safe and in great hands. Not only did I learn a lot this weekend but I had a blast, both with the company and the experience itself. Would HIGHLY recommend getting certified or any other training through this dive shop. The staff makes you feel like family, you meet great people on your dive trips, you see/experience the coolest things, and youll always leave wanting to come back. These folks are great. I came in with my kids to check out masks and ended up coming back because pricing and customer service was fantastic. Despite us being slightly high maintenance they were gracious. Dont bother shopping around. Youve already found what youre looking for.

They sell and service SCUBA equipment as well as spearfishing equipment. Need tanks inspected? No problem. Need to rent tanks or have them filled including EAN? No problem. Customer service here was excellent!! Bob is extremely helpful, experienced, knowledgeable, and most of all...honest. I checked the stores prices against online ordering and his were lower (he does offer price-matching and even has a computer in the store for you to check for lower prices!!)! After picking out the gear I purchased, he took the time to customize the fin straps before I left. I have to reiterate...Great customer service (which is lacking almost everywhere now). Also, a big surprise was that the store offers a 15% military discount!! Thats almost unheard of around jax due to the military bases being so close. I highly recommend shopping here for any diving gear.

I can not say enough about my family (yes family cause that is how they treat you). After being a diver for years and tired of shopping the big box stores I found APD. Five years later and I still love the place. I even had my kids when they were 13 and 14 certified by them. The staff has been great and the dive boats have been awesome. From start to finish it was a great experience, before even purchasing my open water certification class online I called to get a run down and Kayley helped me with all my questions then again on my second.. and third call lol. Kayley is very knowledgeable and helpful, she got me sized in the RIGHT equipment when I arrived, which is very important for the best experience. The convenience of the online theory class makes it easy to do it on your own time and pace. My instuctor Mike was awesome as well, he goes over the skills clearly and makes sure you understand them completely before moving onto the next skill. He takes the safety of his students seriously and he’ll let you know that from the start, which is a comforting feeling all while keeping the class fun and exciting. The whole weekend class was just amazing and I can’t wait to take my next class and learn more to expand my skills. I’m proud to say I’ve found my scuba shop and I can’t wait to get back under the water for even more fun!!

Super awesome scuba shop! Super friendly (like, remember your name when you walk in type friendly) and knowledgable. My closest PADI dive shop is a bit of a wreck so it was really refreshing walking into a shop that was actually put together and had someone immediately there that could help. On a whim, I paid for a FFM and the FFM course, which was discounted, and Jenn was super awesome about getting dates together since I was only in FL for a few weeks. Unfortunately, hurricane Dorian came through and messed those plans up :( Bailey was super awesome about giving me a discount though when I bought some fins and boots since they werent able to fully discount the FFM course. They did my Nitrox course for me as well and all the staff was great about doing the hands-on training. Again, super knowledgeable. Wish I could have stayed longer to do some more training through them(Also had an awesome charter dive trip off the coast!)

I usually dont write reviews but this time I had to give Kudos to these guys and their products. I spent a lot of time looking locally trying to find a quality aluminum travel pole spear in the Austin,TX area and then went to internet and read tons of reviews about poor quality pole spears. So much cheap quality stuff out there. Hate buying something like this without actually putting my hands on it. Saw this one online and called the store and talked to staff at store. Very friendly and helpful, they actually went and looked and handled the pole in their hands as I was asking questions and made sure extra spear tip fit before purchase. Shipped fast and when I received the pole I was very impressed and pleased with all the products I ordered. Actually items were better quality than expected at great price. Customer service was great and very helpful. I called store just to tell them I was happy and impressed and the owner actually answered he also was very friendly and appreciative of the feedback. He stated that they try to only carry quality made equipment made in the US when possible, and I believe it. Thanks Atlantic pro diver for keeping America what it is and stocking mostly US made products and quality merchandise. I will definitely buy any other items I need from them in the future because they still believe in quality and customer service. Last weekend I took the Scuba Diving Certification Course and my Instructor was Damion. It was my first time ever doing something like this and I was a little scared of the water. The instructor was absolutely amazing. Instead of doing the lessons with the class he took me after everything was done and worked on the skills they worked on for the day so that it would be more one on one since I was having difficulty. He woke up early the next morning and got me through the entire lesson for the next day. He was a great instructor and has a lot of knowledge. I would definitely recommend Atlantic Pro Divers to everyone and I would ask for Damion to be your instructor. He was very patient and went above and beyond as an Instructor.

My daughter recently received her diving certification. The best part of the course was with the instructor, Damien. You can tell that he has a true passion for diving. I went along as a bystander, but the detailed instruction and patience that Damien provided was remarkable. I will be taking diving lessons later this year with my son and I will make sure that Damien is the instructor.

My fiance, friend and I were referred to Atlantic Pro Divers by a friend in the Jacksonville area to complete our Padi Open Water Dive Certification. Our family of four, include our 15-yr old daughter and 13-yr old son, completed the PADI Open Water certification with Atlantic Pro Divers this weekend. We had a great experience! Our knowledgeable and seasoned instructors gave us great confidence, were patient, and even shared their equipment (when I left mine fins/mask/snorkel at the first spring!).The pool training was held at an outdoor 12ft pool and we did two fresh water dives; one at Devils Den and the other in Rainbow River. Our instructors knew the areas, site owners & operators, and had very clearly scuba-ed these areas numerous times. For a new diver, who is claustrophobic and scared of the dark, this let me relax into our training and ultimately the dives allowing me to enjoy the dives. When I buddied up with my 13 yr old and he had trouble clearing his ears, or equalizing, the instructors worked with him to help him achieve his certification!Thanks so much to Bailey, Mike & Liz, aka Beaty and the Beast!! I purchased 2 sets of Atomic Aquatics T3 regulators and BCD integrated SS1 Titanium safe seconds (octo) from Atlantic Pro Divers. Bob (owner), Kaley, and Baley were extremely helpful, courteous, and polite. They took there time to answer all my questions and make sure that I got the right gear for my needs. They did not try to sell me anything that I could not afford or did not need. I plan on replacing my current (old and worn) BCD, fins, and mask and I am definitely going back to Atlantic Pro Divers!Thank you guys for great service!

Every year I always make it a point to come here on my vacation - I love this place.

Wonderful group of people here. Always there to help and give good solid advice.

They certified me without me doing any homework or taking a test. I didnt even fill out the student id and medical info till the day I went to pick up my c card. So basically I just jumped in the water and paddled awhile and now Im a certified diver whoopie. They also put the wrong name on my c card and dont care and wont change it. Bob is one of the most rude guys Ive ever met.EDIT So the other students said I was bad newshuh and wouldnt listen. THEN WHY DID SHEPASS ME THEN YOU OLD FOOL.Sherrie alreadygave me a card Ive been diving 3 timessince then. you are a liar the studentsdidnt say anything about me your just tryingto save your own butt for your incompetence.She dont even like you she told me so. Yourschool is pathetic you dont even do enoughrequired dives. One in a pool and one in somesprings is not enough to certify anyone.

Best Dive Shop in Jacksonville by far. Service was excellent, If ever in need of diving supplies this is the place to go.

There is some female instructor that works in that shop that knows nothing about diving or the equipment let alone her kids are running all over the place. If you want to waist an afternoon go to the Atlantic pro Dives/ child day care facility.
