Florida Garage Doors Net Inc came out and diagnosed the issue with our garage door promptly and resolved the issue within an hour, and now its faster and quieter than it was brand new! Their customer service is exceptional and the whole process from beginning to end was extremely professional and top notch. I would recommend them to anyone!

Sometimes you let the sleeping dog lie, which was what I was going to do with Florida Garage Doors Net Inc. But then someone goads you into making a different decision – like Florida Garage Doors Net Inc asking for a review of their performance over and over again. I waited a couple of weeks before writing this review (maybe I would cool off and find the silver lining… nope).Did the technician get the 18’x8’ garage door working again? Yes. Did he have serious work to do to get the door working? Yes, he worked on the skewed door for an hour and a half, making adjustments to cables, tracks and the monstrous spring that keeps the door balanced. But no additional parts were required to get it working.The initial charge to show up in the driveway is $49.95 – OK, everyone has an initial service call charge. The technician takes a look at the door and says “This is a skewed door. We charge an additional flat rate of $229 to fix this problem.” I think, “A little pricey, but he is here, and I have already spent the $49.95, so let’s go.”Here is where I take exception to their tactics and the pricing. This technician is there 45 minutes and then enlightens me that “He is actually going to have to earn his money on this particular job” because he is having difficulty getting the tension on the cables to work out. He did not have to replace any parts, mind you, he merely had to work on the door for 1.5 hours to adjust it properly. Well, making $229 for the job (or $152/per hour not counting the initial charge to drive to the house) suddenly wasn’t enough for this company. The technician then decided he needed to charge more money than the previously quoted flat rate. His solution was to charge $139/hour for his labor, and then round the time UP from 1.5 hours to 2.0 hours. When asked about why his time got rounded up, his response was “That is what we do.” So the flat $229 price went up to $278, because he decided his time was actually worth $185/hour of work put in. I call this a bait and switch with their pricing conducted at the whim of their technician.This is my experience of Florida Garage Doors Net Inc. You have been warned.

Florida Garage Doors did an outstanding job for me and fast. Called the other guys first a month earlier. First they needed two weeks to come and install a new garage opener. The day before that appointment day, they called me to announce the installer was sick. So, we postponed for two more weeks. Then, the day of the next appointment, got a call from their dispatcher to tell me the brakes on their truck had gone out, but not to worry, they could work me in in another week.... Hung up and called Florida Garage Doors. They buttoned up everything THE NEXT DAY... AND CHARGED $200 LESS.... Josh did an awesome job and it works perfectly. My garage door springs broke which eventually caused my chain to pop as well. I called around for a few estimates. One company tried to charge 3 times the amount this company quoted me. They are a family owned business, and it showed. The price was affordable, the customer service was A1, the work was done with accuracy and care. No corporate company trying to knock your head off. Brian & his crew have fixed a jammed garage door and also installed an automatic opener for my warehouse bay door. They do great work and are a fair and honest company. Garage door spring broke while I was at work Friday. Returned home around 5pm and couldnt open my garage. Called them and was told they would call me back. Had to call them back after waiting for a return call. They couldnt get a technician out Friday so they said someone would come asap on Saturday. Someone showed up at 4p. Got the job done fairly quickly. $400.00 for two springs and they didnt even make me a priority.

Very pleased with this company. Josh came out and talked to me about the door first. It was my decision to upgrade to a rated door with some insulation, as I had been researching it for a while. I got the estimate, along with two others, and just had the best feeling about these guys. Jeff came and installed the door and was great. Very nice company to work with. I was glad that the company was able to schedule same day service. There were two items to be repaired, a busted torsion spring and a broken belt. I was asked to send a picture of the garage opener model so that the tech will have the parts available when they arrive. It turned out that the tech wasn’t sent that pic and they don’t carry belts for my brand anyway so only the torsion springs were replaced. I replaced the belt myself afterwards. For the promt service, 4 stars!

However, it took me several follow up calls to get prepared for the installation. My garage door opener wasn’t delivered when promised and I’m still waiting for it. I received a call over a week ago to say the opener may be on a new truck delivery but never got a call back with additional details. I am shopping around now for someone to provide and install an opener.Update: I received a call to have the opener installed and the installation completed the following day. The installer was prompt, courteous, neat, and an absolute pleasure. I am grateful the company took the time to listen to me and to ensure I had a positive experience. Unpleasant experience, very unprofessional, and overcharges on parts. They replaced my garage door sensors ( - LN Complete Beam ST HAE00002 ) and charged me $119.95 for sensors. I found out later that online they run no more than $30 dollars each. When I called them to ask why the price difference they said that they did not have to disclose that information. So I mentioned that the sensors were sold online for $30, and they responded, well we dont go by online prices .... staff could not answer why their sensors were overpriced. I mentioned that they would be losing a customer and all they kept repeating was thats the price and when are you paying it. Didnt care to keep a customer happy and answer a simple question. I do not recommend using this company.Looking fwd. to the companys response as I see that the company tends to attack the reviewer instead of finding ways to resolve the issue. You may have 5-star reviews but youre only as good as your last unsatisfactory review. Especially, when you ripping customers off by over charging on materials.

My first experience with Florida Garage doors was to get aid for my mother-in-law. Jeff came out, and in a short period of time, replaced the bad door sensors (which had been installed with duct tape), aligned and balanced the door. Then by our request, he replaced the wheels so the door works quietly and smoothly again. We liked Jeff and the work he did so much that we had him come out and install an opener on our door. In the process, he leveled the door, replaced the wheels, and covered the gaps left by the original installer. Jeff knew what he was doing, and got the job done in a short time with a professional attitude. Hes also a nice guy. Should we have need for their services again, I would not hesitate to call.

At about 5:00 PM on a Friday my garage door cable broke and the door would not open. It actually was sitting on an angle in the frame. The torsion spring on my garage door had broken. I had called two other garage door companies for repair service. One company no showed and the other one did not bother to return my call. I called FL Garage doors and set an appt. The technician was 1hr late due to a delay on a previous job. BUT, he repaired my garage door quickly and I had access to my garage again. I am giving them 5 stars because they fixed my garage door when they said they would and charged me what I was quoted on the phone. ($300.00 = $175 spring + $125 labor) Since, I am going to be replacing my garage door soon. I will be buying my garage door from FL Garage doors. AND, I was told I could get a credit on the spring I just had them replaced from the purchase of my new carriage style garage door.

Not satisfied at all! Josh was very unprofessional and tells me I was rude to him from day one.Which I was not..only on the 3rd visit I was upset. This was his 3rd visit where he tells me he didnt give a S**t! at this point proceeds to tell me it was operator error! when he replaced my Genie with a opener he says was rated higher in the 1st place? Linear? This 3rd visit Im frustrated and I got my brother is the owner you want his number??? What! A way to handle business!! Worst experince EVER and I will voice this to many more!!!
